This Contixo F29 Altura Max is a wonderful little drone. It’s been a lot of fun for the kids and me. We’ve enjoyed flights around the neighborhood, park, pool, etc. Excellent “beginner” drone for me. I’ve had one previously which cost about the same price, but this one blows that out of the water. The Contixo F29 Altura Max comes loaded with a 4K UHD camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal for stunning images and smooth video stabilization. The camera takes great shots and stores them directly on the included micro-SD card. Camera can also be easily adjusted up/down with the remote so that I can get the exact angle I’m looking for. Really neat for taking aerial shots of the house/yard/pool from above. A massive step up from my previous drone is the built in 5-inch touch screen right in the remote. Has a great first-person view of what the drone is seeing in real time. Most have this feature but require connection to a phone to use its screen, which works, but it’s a bit of a pain pairing and matching and making it all work together – this has a beautiful touchscreen built in! The GPS function works well and is a very cool feature. The drone knows where it takes off from and then has automatic return to home if it gets lost or low battery. I’ve literally had the drone so far away that I could no longer see it or hear it and the on-board picture cut out. Within a few minutes I heard it buzzing along and it came right back to where it took off for a perfect landing. There’s also a simple “return to home” button on the remote if you want to avoid that drama. Control range and continued first person view is impressive as well. It’s advertised at 3 kilometers, or just under 2 miles, and I’ve stretched it all the way out to that. It’s a little nerve racking because that’s to the point that I can no longer see the thing, but again in a pinch, it simply returns to its original takeoff location. Battery life is excellent at about 20 minutes per charge which is perfect because it’s about the extent of my attention span. If 20 minutes isn’t long enough for you then just be happy that it comes with two batteries. Charge time is about 3 hours, which is fine when using a recommended 5v 2A charger block, but I wish I could use my stronger charging blocks for these batteries. For whatever reason the included battery chargers won’t accept current from a stronger charger, they just simply won’t work. I’m still playing with that to see if it’s possible to get a faster charge but haven’t figured it out yet. As for the interface and controls, this drone is very straight forward and easy to use. The quick start guide explains all the controls fairly quickly and easily and gets you off and flying in about 5 minutes. For more detailed controls and functions, I had to read the actual book, but it was all still fairly simple. The last thing I’ll touch on is the drone’s size. It’s a small collapsible quad and comes with a perfectly sized and laid out carrying case to maintain everything. Compartmentalized to store and transport everything. The full case is smaller than my children’s lunch boxes for school. Also on the size, this drone weighs in at 249 grams, meaning no need to register it with the FAA, which I think anyone could appreciate. Overall, this drone has been really great and a lot of fun for my kids and me. We love just flying around the neighborhood or setting the “follow me” mode while riding bikes or playing sports. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

WOW! This Drone is amazing. Exactly what I was looking for and needing. As a Real Estate Professional I am often needing to take video and pictures of homes and surrounding areas for clients. I started with some basic drones but they always had issues with the wind and distances. This drone has everything I need and it perfect even for beginners. Everything you need is in the box. You definitely want to allow the batteries and handheld unit to fully charge before your first use. It can take a few hours for everything to fully charge so allow for that when you first unbox this unit. Good news, while you are waiting for the batteries to charge you can use this time to watch the instructional videos provided (via QR Code) and to reach the quick start and manual guide provided. They walk you through every step you need to follow to get started. Basically it helps you make sure the drone is calibrated and ready for action. You must follow these steps if you want a great experience. Okay now that the batteries are charged I was ready to start using the drone. I set it outside on a flat surface and followed on the initial steps to calibrate it and to make sure it was syncing with GPS satellites and the handheld unit. No issues with the setup, everything went just as described in the manual and the videos. Flying the drone I found to be easy. Having the image displayed on the screen helped so I knew if I was flying forward or backward for example. I could see the image really clear on my handheld unit and it was super easy to navigate. The left control is primarily your altitude so up and down and left and right. Then the right control stick lets you spin left and right and fly forward and backward. The buttons to enable the camera and take pictures or video are conveniently located and easy to use as well. My first light was a success. I flew the drone above my home, to the back of the property line and down the street and back. WOW….. I am so impressed. When I was ready for it to return I tried one of the home options and it returned right to the spot where it took off (thanks GPS connection). I really like the camera is on a gimbal axis so it helps keep the image stable even as the drone my move up and down or left and right with the wind for example. I cant wait to take more videos of homes for my customers now. Everything on the touchscreen handheld unit is designed and placed in the perfect location. I can easily control everything about the drone and it is so intuitive.

I have been using the Contixo F29 Altura Max 4K GPS Drone with 3-Axis Gimbal for a week, and it has been an excellent experience from the start. Once I charged it, it was ready to go, and I was immediately impressed with how easy it was to fly and how quickly I felt comfortable using it. I have been flying it around my neighborhood and taking photos, and every shot has come out sharp, clear, and genuinely impressive for a compact drone. The 4K UHD camera delivers crisp 3840×2160 video, and the 105° wide-angle lens captures an expansive, cinematic view that makes aerial footage look professional. I also like the 70° adjustable tilt because it lets me frame shots exactly how I want. The 3-axis gimbal is a standout feature; my footage stays smooth and stable even when the drone is moving fast or the wind picks up, which significantly improves overall video quality. One of my favorite features is the included 5-inch HD touchscreen remote. I do not need to use my phone at all, and the built-in screen makes it easy to view the live video feed, adjust settings, and activate advanced features. Touch navigation is responsive, making the entire flight experience feel straightforward and modern. The GPS features also provide significant confidence when flying. One-key return to home is convenient, and I appreciate the auto-return safeguards for low-battery or signal-loss conditions. The intelligent modes are both fun and valuable. Follow-me and orbit modes work well, and I can tap points on the screen to guide the flight path for more creative shots, such as spiraling ascents and sweeping landscape-style passes. It also includes one-key takeoff and landing, which makes it even easier to use. Battery life has been solid for me. I get about 25 minutes per battery, which aligns with the drone’s advertised performance and gives me plenty of time to capture photos and video without feeling rushed. The 3KM control range is another key advantage, and the drone’s top speed of 25 km/h feels fast while remaining controllable. With brushless motors and app control, it flies smoothly and feels robust and stable in the air. I also really like the lightweight design. It is compact and easy to travel with, and its FAA registration-free status in the United States makes it even more convenient. Overall, the Contixo F29 delivers a professional feel in a travel-ready package and has been a reliable, fun drone for capturing high-quality aerial photos and videos.

Horrible service I have been over two months trying to get an issue resolved and they start a convo answer two times and when return is about to get started they disappear . I can’t believe Best Buy is selling this product. Contixo is a FRAUD !!

Excited to try this drone with all the features. 2nd flight, shut down on full battery 2 minutes in, fell to the ground with no warning. Luckily it wasn't high and landed on soft grass. Tried to contact customer support, still waiting (1 week) for response. Website has apps for all Contixo series BUT this one, and also has a tutorial video that doesn't play in any browser. I returned this after one week, I do not recommend this to anyone.

After purchasing this product, I did on Youtube review, and this product was scored very low for image video quality. There were other challenges with the remote not responding well to the "follow-me" mode. The battery lifge was alos falling short of the advertise duration. So, these reasons I returned the product in the original packaging the next day.

This was the absolute worst product I have ever purchased. It cost over $400.00. It worked for 30 seconds and took off and never came back to base.

The unboxing was very easy. This drone came with 2 batteries and charges. Also a nice carrying bag and extra accessories like propeller blades. Also included was a nice remote and landing pad. I charged both batteries and the controller. I charged at night and just took it out the next day so I cannot say how fast it charges but it all was fully charged in the am. Use: The Quick start guide was hard to follow but after about 20 minutes I did get the drone properly calibrated and flying. I had issues with the control and it hit my roof fortunately so I was able to retrieve it. I did have to replace 2 blades but the included screwdriver made that a simple process. Next steps are something you need to try a few times to get used to. I found I was turning on the drone first then the remote. Actually, I found the remote then drone to be better. Also you want the antenna parallel to the drone, so I start with them sticking out but inflight I pull them up so they are always pointing to the drone. I like the options to have it hover to record video or take pictures. I did not find the pictures real clear but they were 4k. I did think the video was pretty good during the day and steady as if flew. It was pretty amazing how professional it looked just floating around my house. I like the option to push to return home which allows me to get the drone back when I am finished. Pros: Video Is clear during the daylight All the accessories needed are included Button for take-off and landing Cons: Sometimes the controller loses connection with the drone and not all features work Blades are hard to find online Some build quality feels cheap and less durable Stills are low quality Summary: I will say you do not want to fly this with any wind since that makes it harder to control and you should take it out to a field or park the first time just to get used to the controls. On another flight I lost connection to the drone in that I was unable to get it to fly toward me and land. Even though I was using the controls correctly. I had to force it to hit a try to stop vs flying away. Otherwise this is a nice drone for your first time and the lack of needing the flight registration is a bonus.
