It's fun to play against other's in this game. Can be a challenge to get through some of the games. Some recipes are harder to understand than others but once you figure them out it gets easier. The controls aren't always the most accurate, which can be frustrating when your competing against someone or racing the clock. But it does get you moving and shaking!

A Tad Bit Disappointing...

When I bought this game I expected much more from it than I actually got. It doesn't really have a storyline and it's actually not much of a game at all. Also, no matter how many times I try, there are just some of the tasks that my remote won't let me do. I don't know if it's the Wii or not, but it's a brand new system, and works perfectly otherwise, so I'm thinking that I should blame it on the game. Overall, pretty disappointing.

Charming, but quickly repetative

I borrowed this game from a friend and played it for an evening. While I found the cooking mini-games to be fun and engaging, I was burnt out after a couple of hours. The recipes all started to run together after a while as it started feeling like I was doing the same thing over and over again. This would be good for a weekend rental, but I would not recommend purchasing it.

Cooking mama is a lot of fun, but the controls don't always pick up correctly. Sometimes stirring or slicing does not work properly. I have not had the same problems with other games. Some of the controls are very sensitive (cracking an egg, for example); however, it can get frustrating when the Wii does not read your cooking motions. Overall, it is an awesome game, and it is a ton of fun to play with a friend. I would recommend this game, especially since the price went down recently.

At first, I found this game really fun. But after a while, it got really boring. I like the DS game better. And when I try some of the moves it has me do, it doesn't work! It might just be me, but everyone else I've played with couldn't do it either. I like how there are many recipes to choose from. And on some of the food, you get to decorate it on the plate any way you want to! I wouldn't recommend buying this. Maybe you could you could rent it and play it while its fun.

Bought this for Christmas for my family who loves to cook! We had sooo much fun playing this with our kids as well as cook offs between my husband and I. We also invited friends over to play and laughed for hours...you think it is easy to crack an egg but doing this with a WII remote is hilarious!!!
My ten year old son has completed 55 receipes and is now going back to beat his old scores...recommend this game to anyone that likes to cook!!! Good luck!!!

Not as good as DS version

The DS version of this game blows this one out of the water. It really doesn't have enough detail to transfer to the big screen and I don't find the Wii-mote to be sensitive enough for many of the tasks. Much better on the DS.

My girls love this game. 14, 12 & 5. They play it often. They have alot of fun. As you can see a wide range of ages can play this and enjoy it. I like that it keeps them moving as they play, as all of the Wii games do. Its fun for them to make different foods from different countrys. I am thinking about getting it for my daughters DS also, so she can play it on the go.

In the beginning this game was a bit difficult to get the hang of, but once you do it's great! It's challenging enough that you won't get bored easily and it's always fun to see what recipe you unlock next. Two player mode is great and lots of fun as well. I also love all of the different ways the wii remote is used in the game.

This game becomes boring after an hour or two. You do the same activities for the different recipes over and over. The game's strength is that it can be a fun social game for people to try something new when they come over. You would have to be pretty familiar with the Wii just to figure out how to play multiplayer because there are no direct screen links to enter MP. The multi-player mode is very weak and shallow and provides no mini-games or anything to break the monotony. A couple activities on the game have very vague and badly translated instructions and it is confusing.
I would say its barely worth a rental and definitely not $50.

Cooking Mama is a very fun game that can keep you playing for a while. The only thing is that without friends to play with the game can come up a little short. The quest mode is great but nothing beats the challange of others trying to out cook you...

I had bought the ds one before this and i loved it,i thought i would have loved this one more because of the wii-mote interaction, but was a little disappointed.it was ok,but not what i expected.it will probably be a game that i will end up playing only ounce in a while.

This is not what I expected at all. The point of the game is to cook quicker then the computer, but if you do not hold the controller exactly how it is shown then it will not move your hand on the screen in the correct manner.

My kids love this game! They play it for hours on end. They love trying to earn new recipes. They love playing alone or against each other. One other con would be that it is only two player. Great game.

I love to cook and was very excited when I found this game. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I played about 5 minutes, searched for the fun everyone had talked about and couldn't find any. The remote is so disconnected you could just shake the remote and it basically does everything. No skill required. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this one. Try big brain academy. It is great!!!!!!!

In my opinion, this game is only suitable for ages 6 & under. The recipes are redundant and there is no real challenge. Also, if it weren't for the narration on the screen you wouldn't know what "mama" was saying half the time because the accent is so strong (japanese game). Any length of time I spent playing the one and only time I did was out of nothing more than hoping it would get better. I wish I hadn't wasted the $50.

This will keep the kids entertained with out a big mess in the kitchen. It is also good for their coordination also.
