They went to a lot of effort to make sure this thing fit whatever you got. I was concerned when I opened it that it was more than I needed. More than my old board could handle. But read the instructions and it will likely be just fine. Huge, crazy neat LED stuff that I cannot see, but super quiet. Amazed to discover how noisy my old stuff was.

It doesn't have good ratings for nothing; I was getting 76C with my previous aftermarket cooler from Amazon (gross) I decided to change it when i wanted better temperatures to prolong the life of my CPU. Now running a big game like Death Stranding my temperature doesn't even go above 53C. I'm content :) p.s i love the colors works with my MSI mystic light app.

I haven’t ever used a cooler of this style before so it was a little tricky figuring out how to mount. But that process depends on the experience of the user. My processor was overheating with the stock cooler. 55C- 80C and up. Computer would crash. Thermals are now under control. (30C - 65C) I used the extra fan mounting plates to add another fan to the other side of the heat sink. I like that they made that real easy.
