Excellent and interesting about an Irish Immigrant policeman or "copper" who lives in the Five Points neighborhood of New York City during the 1860's and their lives. It was filmed in a darker than normal color, I guess to give it the feel of the day. There were a number of stories to follow and several strong characters. This was the 1st of 2 seasons.

Copper is a police drama set in the slums of New York during the Civil War. It's a challenging and entertaining drama that involves plenty of action and violence--as well as meditations on class conflict and race conflict and the often bleak, rotten nature of the human condition. It's sometimes hard to watch, but nearly always entertaining.

Waiting for second season to start. Great show, lighting is a little dark. Players are great showing what is was like back then.

What an interesting and hard time it must have been in early America, NY. The actors in this series are well chosen and perform so well. I can't wait to obtain more.

I feel like I'm there, Five Points, its a very detailed sexy edge show, with great Civil War 1865 historical perspective on different classes of New York society

I LOVE Copper and was excited to see Season 1 out on DVD. Can't wait till Season 2 comes out as well.

This was a great deal. Nice to be able to find movies at a Great Price.
