Overall, this is a very nice looking bookshelf that is quite sturdy when fully loaded up. All pieces fit together nicely, with all metal fasteners. From start to finish, it took about 90 minutes to assemble by myself. A couple tips: The back of the bookshelf is made of a thick card-stock material and will look like it doesn't quite fit until you put the top of the bookshelf on to hold it all together. Once the top is put on, it all ties together nicely. The bevelled edges are durable and heavy, but be careful when attaching to the face of the bookshelf. This was one of the last steps in assembly and easily was the most difficult step. Take your time and don't force anything.

The backboard could be sturdier but other than that the shelf is good. Putting it together was a breeze and I use it to store a mix of books, games and decorative items.

Initial setup was perfect. One day (approx. 2 months after purchase) my office chair bumped into it as I was setting up my workstation on my desk. All the shelves collapsed with all my books. So I had remove all my books and the shelves. I put thw shelves back as they were and restacked all my books. As I was putting the last book on the shelf, when everything collapsed in on itself again. This time a large chunk of the compressed wood in the lower right corner broke out; so much so that I wasn't to put it back together and the integrity of the frame was severely compromised, so I ended up having to take it apart. Now I'm stuck paying for something that I used for less than 2 months (I had it set up, but didn't put my books on the shelves for weeks). I should've taken pictures, but I was just so upset and frustrated after the whole ordeal, that I just stacked up the pieces of the bookshelf in a corner of my loft.

Excellent bookshelf. The instructions could have been written a little better. But still doesn't take an expert to figure out. finished rather quickly and it looks great in the living room

More than just a "book" case. The distance between the shelves are perfect for displaying those special objects you love. The taller "coffee table" books fit perfectly, too. Assembly required, but I love it!

This was a head ache to put together. The construction took what could of been a simple into complicated adding unnecessary steps into the equation. the measurement often seem not to fit when line up correctly leading to constant irritation. Once the shelf was complete there was gap between the length of the shelf and the font end of the book shelf. When I put a book on the shelf it would tilt it forward and fall to the ground. This issue can be resolved by adding spacers between the two points to fill the gap, but its really a pain that i would have to buy something extra to make a BOOK CASE WORK. Now I have to take this product apart to take it back to best buy. Save yourself the hassle and get another shelf.
