Great power supply.... Top of the line Corsair makes is the AXi models. This is a great stable and powerful psu, powering 6700k at 4.8ghz, Asus matrix 980ti gpu overclocker to 1520 on the core.

This product is sold here in Brazil for more than US$ 650. For me it is importante for its eficiency - Platinum version rating. As energy here, due to the drougth has gone up nearly 40%¨and will reach 100 % by August it makes a difference. My computer is 500 watts when under full load, most of the time as do cloud computing also for BOINC and LHC/CERN. . At 20 percent, now here, that is only for the power supply more than 30 US$ per month for efficiency lost. (20% at 610 watts) is a lot.
Installed it, my nobreak is showing more than 20% drop in consumption, and at 7% from 20%, for 24x7 work, that pays for the replacement in a few month. Besides top of the line, recuction in cost, it was well Worth going to the US (Denver) and picking it up.
It does make a difference, beside a high quality product.

I went the 860i after initially purchasing an 860 (non-i). The i version has a bit more cleanliness to the cables, which I intend to sleeve. The non-i version has more overlapping cables, which are more difficult to sleeve.

It's a bit pricey for what it has to offer. You can probably just buy a 850 w platinum and it'll do the same thing.

Worked for a few weeks. Then started randomly failing and causing PC to shut down at random moments.

8 months in it started turning itself off randomly and I would have to unplug the motherboard connector and plug it back in to get it to start. A year in stopped working all together.

Repeatedly defective

Twice I have bought one of these, and twice they have been defective. The first time, it managed to last me from March of 2017 to October of 2017, but not without issues. The first one I have bought seems to have had at least one defective wire in either the CPU connector or the Mother Board connector, resulting in my computer repeatedly refusing to boot, starting a taking about a day with it connected and left on before it would actually start, to, by mid October, refusing to boot forever. The second attempt with this, and I can't even use it, as this is something decent quality control should have caught. A PCI-e connector is missing the extra two pin points for an 8 pin graphics card. Avoid this product, possibly even avoid any and all EVGA power supplies.
