Relatively comfortable to wear; on stereo setting music sounds good.
Surround setting, some movies sound more open and others somewhat
"muddied".

PROs & CONs

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I will explain you the Pro's & Con's of this Headset as follows:
PRO
(1) Wireless headset;
perhaps the real unique reason why this item is being considered is because of this. Wireless features require high amount of energy consumption, hence the circuity devices that cost such high price. This feature usually cost between 35 to 60 dollars but that's not much for this Headset overall price.
(2) Battery;
a full charged Headset last around 8 to 9 non-stop hours. Additionally, when the power is very low a distinctive beeping sound is produced, mixed with your audio, letting you know that you need to plug it.
(Personal Tip: Keep an eye on this length of time since rechargeable batteries deteriorates with time. When battery last around 4 to 5, it's time to make a call.)
(3) Around-Head Band design;
the thick leather band around the head does feel comfortable and wide enough to make you feel that you're wearing real badass equipment. The sensation of not feeling wires around your shoulders and
(4) Sound Quality;
the sound is really good, it does feels a surround-environment when you use them. Also, there is a Mute Mic feature, just by pushing the mic almost all the way up it automatically silence the Audio-In. Quicker than finding a switch on a cable or looking of the Mute All key on the keyboard when your mom wreaks havoc in your room, yelling at you while playing.
CON
(1) Microphone (design);
the little stick around Left speaker, that is the microphone and you have to bend it to the desired position which actually feels like you are/can damage it.
(Personal Tip: The mic is too good that your friends can actually hear your breathing! if you're a passionate person and breath a lot, considerate a external windshield.)
(2) Portability; (This is not a real CON, but I will mention this anyways).
If you travel a lot, or you like using headset on open-air, be careful since most headsets are designed to be able to bend over to a compact size so you can storage it and transport it. This headset does NOT have this property. Also, please considerate CON (3).
(3) Compatibility and further usage;
This device uses it own USB audio receiver. You are pinned to use this and use Corsair Software to adjust the transmitted audio from your computer.
Overall: You get this headset because the wireless feature! (And it does it job nicely).
This is the cheapest wireless headset I have found so far. A wired version would cost around 40 - 65 dollars.

I was originally stuck between the Logitech G930 and this model. After reading some reviews, I decided to give this one a shot.
I was impressed with the overall initial feel of the headset, it seemed to have a good build quality and the ear cups felt comfortable. I left them charging over night, I listened to some music and played some games. So far they have been very comfortable to use. The sounds in the game are very well defined and the music sounds great. .I am not an audiophile so take my opinion on the sound with a grain of salt. When I speak into the mic, I am told it sounds very clear with minimal background noise. I found that to be great since the ceiling fan is right above me. I have worn them for close to 2 hours and didn't really have any issues or complaints. At first they did feel heavy but I got used to them fairly quickly. I have not felt them get me ears hot yet but like I stated before I do have the ceiling fan right above me.
One of my favorite features on this headset is being able to use them while they charge. Since I was not used to charging headphones I would forget to leave them charging.
The only reason I did not give it the full five stars are listed below; I would have given them a 4.5 if the option was there.
* I would have preferred the on/off button was a switch vs trying to hold down a button for 3 seconds. I notice if I do not pay attention to the light flicker and hold it a little longer than the 3-4 secs it turns back off.
*The flexibility of the mic could be better.
* There is no mute button but I do have one on my keyboard so not counting it towards its rating, just thought it was worth mentioning for others.
Overall if these broke, I would replace them with the same ones again. For the price I think you would be happy.

Ok, FIRST: This will not work on any gaming system (PS2,3,4, Xbox 360 or Xbox one) directly!!. If you want to bypass your gaming system and hook it up via your computer, that will work but it will cost you. If you want to, then you'll need an optical powered (and only powered) switch, a couple of optical cords, a computer that has an optical outlet and the patience to do it. It will not work by using only HDMI cables, trust me. Oh by the way: if you do connect it that way you will have to turn the computer on every time you play with the gaming system to use the headphones.
Now if you're using it just for the computer it is awesome. Sounds great. The 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound is ridiculous. Listening to music sounds really good too. Real clear microphone for online stuff. Comfortable for long gaming sessions or for chating. Not too heavy, in my opinion. Wireless range is about 25-35 feet and it probably depends on the house, apt, etc.
Battery life is about 9-10 hrs. CHARGE TIME (First time was 5 hours) IS ABOUT 4 HOURS! I thought it was a fluke but I let the battery run down each time and the charge time didn't change. That is a big problem for me. That is why I took my set back. The 2nd reason was because I did buy all the components to hook it up the way I mentioned above. All of sudden these $99.00 headphones cost me close to $200.00 with all optical switches, cables, extension cords (if you want it sound well, it's gonna cost ya).
So overall: sound is 5 stars, charge time 3 stars, cost 4 stars. Good luck.
So if I do recommend it, I would say just use it for the computer...Period!

It's a very good headset, not the best but pretty good.
Pros: great sound, 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 are very enjoyable. Comfortable for long sessions and decent range when running wireless.
Cons: The connection sometimes disconnects and reconnects real quick causing random pausing during your game/listen. I read online it's the USB toggle, might get to warm? Battery life kind of sucks even at full charge. You'll want to play wired unless you plan on moving around.
Tip: be warned that the mic mutes itself when it's lifted up (intentional) but you may find yourself repeating yourself to friends if you realize to late that your mic is up.

Clear mic and good quality sound. I use it every day for at least 6 hours. The battery life and wireless range is around the advertised specs.
Pros: Volume jog dial on headset. Raise mic boom to mute. Battery life. Operating distance.
Cons: In 2 games I play the mic isn't picked up very well even though I have settings maxed in Windows. Ears get sweaty with long use.
other thoughts: Also consider getting a USB extender cable if you are using this with a desktop as the charging cord is quite short.

I was shopping on a budget, and these were recommended to me by the great staff at Best Buy. Not as good as the high end stuff I was able to test in store, but for under $100 I am very happy with the purchase. I got them before i upgraded to Win 7, and the surround sound did not work in XP. So if you are late to the game like I was keep this in mind. I love Corsair's equalizer profiles and being able to easily change the source type.
Would have liked some more options on the headset itself. The volume control being a wheel is pretty cool though the mic will pick it up as you change volume. Other than that pretty comfortable and blocks out a lot of the outside noise though not as well as higher end ones.

Swapped a SteelSeries Siberia v3 set for this Corsair H2100 set because I couldn't get the Siberia set to seal properly on the bottom of my ears. Audio quality is excellent. Battery life is great. The wireless just works. The 7.1 support works reasonably well and gives accurate positional sense in game. The only minor complaints I have are:
1) no dedicated mute button - you tilt the mic up to mute it, which is fine for gaming
2) the boom mic is a bit awkward to bend/position. The mic on the Siberia was easier to position and retractable. I like a mic to be a bit closer to my mouth, and the mic on the H2100 hangs fairly far out.

These are a great set for a great price. the 40mm drivers produce excellent sound quality. The bass could be a deeper though. The Surround sound is great. If i use them for almost two days of gaming without recharging, and just use the USB cord if they do need a quick charge.

Corsair has always made excellent hardware, and this headset is no exception to that. It came in a nice package, which included:
- The headset
- Charging cable
- The wireless dongle/receiver
- A small usb dock for extended range
I use the headset for a variety of tasks such as; work calls on Skype, college meetings for online courses, general chatting on VOIP and gaming. The general quality of the microphone is excellent, and I have heard myself and I sound much clearer than before. The 7.1 Surround Sound is excellent quality and sounds great, a life savior for my fellow gamers. ;)
The headset has really good range, I can wear it all the way into my kitchen, which is through 2 walls and over 30 feet away without losing reception.
It is quick to setup and active, just hold the button and you are live, then hold it again to shut it off. It charges quickly, and holds a charge for a good 10-12 hours which is more than enough for extended use. A nice feature is if you flip the mic boon up, it auto-mutes. Which is really nice if someone comes to you and starts talking you, or you get a phone call.
It is pretty comfortable with padded, smooth ear-cups that fit snugly on your head. It isn't sealed, but it still manages to keep sound in and lock exterior noises out.
The only cons I have for the product are kind of minor, and didn't affect the overall quality that much. One problem is that you can charge the headset while using it, which is a plus. The downside is if you try to talk while it is charging then your voice has horrible distortion, it sounds as if there is an airliner behind you taking off. The second thing is if you have somewhat sensitive ears and wear this for a long session, it can really give you some ear fatigue. So taking a break every few hours is recommend from me.
Other than that.
I have owned it for over a month now, and it is an amazing product. I have recommended it to everyone so far, one of my friends picked it up a week after me and he absolutely loves it.

I bought these two weeks ago. The Sound Quality is awesome! I really like the bass. They are very comfortable. The softness seems to muffle a lot of the ambient sounds. When the battery is low, you can keep using them with USB power. The USB cord is very long, which is good. The microphone boom can fold up and bend, which I really like.
However, here are the things I dislike. I wish there was a way to adjust the tightness of the headband. When the battery gets low, the headset will beep at you, which is a very annoying feature. They are kind of bulky, my office mates say I look like a jet pilot or something. It is hard to tell if the headset is ON or OFF -- it has a tiny blue light, but it only flashes once per second. There is no indication whether it is ON but not Connected, so if you don't hear any sound, you aren't sure if it is a power issue, or connection, or PC volume, or ... so that's annoying.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I wonder if the Logitech g930 would have been better.

Pros: These headphones sound amazing. Enabling 7-channel sound on supported software works smoothly, and was detected by all the games I tried it on. Microphone seemed to pick up my voice clearly, but there was no other noise in the background in my room, so I would expect nothing less. I was able to walk about 50 feet away before I noticed any signal loss while I had the USB dongle on the top of my desk. Putting it under the desk (wood and metal) caused a slight drop in range as one would expect.
The comfort was good. I could have used more size adjustments, but it fits and doesn't fall off your head or squeeze too tight. The material is soft, but porous.
Cons: Switching between audio output devices in Windows 8.1 can be a hassle if these are not your only speakers. Applications may have to be relaunched after switching to headphones. The Corsair audio program doesn't really help with this. This is more of a problem with Windows than with the headphones.

I have purchased 8 pairs of these headphones for work and for home. They are just about the best solution possible for Skype and for gaming. Very comfortable, long battery life, and of the eight pairs being used by seven people, not a single complaint from anyone after the initial day or two of getting used to how to turn it on and charge it and what-not. We use this headphone set and the C920 logitech cam for our virtual office and it's fantastic way to command a work-from-home team of pros.

Audio capability of this device is great. There's great frequency range and the positional audio let's you know where sounds are coming from relative to the game you are playing. The only draw backs are that the headset is very tight on my head, and I don't have an excessively large melon. My ears tend to get very warm and sweaty after using these for a few hours as well.

The Carsair Vengeance 2100 is even better than the reviews I read that led me to purchase this product. It has so many advantages over others I've read about or tried. The sound quality is rich and full. Because it uses it's own wireless connection by USB there is no interference with other devices. Construction, materials, and design are of very high quality. The drivers and the control panel are downloaded from the Corsair website in accordance with instructions provided in the user manual. The control panel is extremely easy to use.
I use this headset almost everyday for at least 8 hours a day in my job. It's very comfortable and the battery life provides 8-10 hours and recharges pretty quickly. I've used mine for about a month now with zero issues or complaints. For the money, I believe this to be the best deal you can hope for!

I rock this thing hard everyday extreme gaming. It reaches 40~feet like the description says when I need to go get that drink from the fridge. The audio quality is top-notch not skipping a beat. Even at the 40 foot mark, it holds quality. Skype calls at a distance have no issue. No signal drops from what I've seen unless you tinker past that 40 foot threshold. Surround sound is a nice feature. I rarely use it but it's a nice to have. Sweat for me starts occurring after 2-3 hours of nonstop usage. It's really comfortable. Just make sure to hold down the power button when trying to make a connection to your adapter. That is the only fiasco but really worth the money and buy. Only buy this new.

I purchased this headset wanting a quality wireless headset, and thats exactly what it is. A big pro was that it was wireless, but a con for me was that the headset seemed pretty heavy when it sits on your head. Overall I think a 4/5 is where this product lands. A good buy, and I would recommend it to a friend.
