    Great headset for the money.

Okay, let me start by saying a couple of things: Marketing is everything, even within Corsair as a company, its not out of the realm of possibility that they are constantly trying to up-sell you...especially if they already have you hooked on their products (nothing wrong with that). So, with that being said let me dive into the review. These headphones feature 50mm drivers, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are probably the same exact 50mm drivers that are featured across the entire lineup of corsair headsets (smart business to buy in bulk and use the same components as much as you can)...that being said the only thing that more than likely differentiates these headphones from the entire line of Void headsets boils down to 2 things: RGB and Wireless...if those are game changers for you, buy the Void series because Dolby surround can be had with these through an included 3.5mm to USB adapter. The fitment feels better to me, they feel lighter and the lock in feels more along my style but that purely preference, that being said, I have a recording studio and I've used headphones that range in the hundreds of dollars and they feel just as premium as those fit and finish wise. They tend to get a little hot as the ear cups are made of a pleather type material which isnt that great for airflow...not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind, i like it because it reminds me to take breaks every once and a while. With the Corsair CUE software and the 7.1 enabled I literally cant tell the difference in sound quality between the Void series and these headphones. My suggestion? Buy these headphones and with the money saved purchase the Corsair RGB headphone stand so that you can get the best of both world, RGB, a usb 3.0 hub, and since the stand has a soundcard built in you can just run these headphones straight into the stand via 3.5mm jack and from the stand to your computer via usb...you'll be much happier that way I think. microphone quality is good enough and its removable which is something that you can't get with the void series so that alone for me was a game changer and you don't have to deal with wireless delay which can be a problem if you play ultra competitively. Your choice at the end of the day but I definitely think that buying these plus the corsair st100 for basically the game amount if you'd paid if you bought just the Void RGB wireless set is definitely the way to go.

    Good Headphones — Mic Issues

    Posted

Let me get this out of the way first and say that I really love this headset. It's comfortable and it has great sound and the mic would have been perfect for me had it worked the way it should. Definitely a 10/10 for how cheap I got it for at $40 on sale. I have had this headset for about one day, and I already have run into really frustrating and time consuming issues. Everyone I had been communicating with either said that there was an echo coming from me or they could hear themselves loud and clear coming from me, I thought maybe it was just because the volume was too high causing it to leak so I turned it down and it persisted anyways to the point where it was too quiet for my liking and still loud for others, obviously it didn't just echo them, it was echoing everything I was doing, from the music I was playing to the video I was watching, it was really annoying to say the least and when I heard it for myself I was kind of upset. I called Corsair Support and they said "It has to be a computer issue and we don't know what to do about that, try calling Microsoft". The issue they were talking about was the audio on my motherboard being jacked up causing it to interfere with my microphone communication and thus causing it to relay the audio from my PC whatever it may be. So I listened to them and started testing stuff out. I got to the point where I tested two headsets with music, communication, and YouTube videos at different levels of volume and the HS60 ALWAYS picked up that audio unless it was to the point where it was almost completely off and barely audible anyways. The other headset I tested, the Hyper X Stinger, with a messed up mic and leaky audio from being used for a long while and worn down. The Stinger didn't pick up and single thing while this new headset picked up nearly EVERYTHING unless I dropped the volume to around 30-40 in Windows' Audio Mixer. BTW, both headsets were tested using Corsair's USB Surround Dongle that they provide with the HS60 so they were on even ground. I probably received a bad set or something because it is not like Corsair at all to have an issue like this in one of their competition headsets.

This headset was definitely meant for PC only. There is no point in buying this item if you plan on using a console. You lose the best part of the headset when on console. The difference between console and PC is simple. For console: -It's a standard headset -May sound a tiny bit better/produce deeper sounds than a previous headset(50mm drivers) For PC: -Sound quality is boosted by 10 fold easily -7.1 Surround Sound is awesome. Sounds great for games -The headset sounds just like a pair of Sony/Beats/Bose with an amazing punch from the drivers that you miss out on with a console -I love the whole 1 cord idea. It only uses 1 USB slot on PC instead of both a headphone/mic combo The Good/Bad: -Fits very snug, it doesn't feel like any sound escapes making much better sound quality -Very simple and sleek -the controls on the back of the left ear cup are very handy. Much better than on the cord -Not wireless(for those who hate cords) -Not comfortable to wear past an hour or so(I have the same problem with beats Pro headphones; it may not bother you depending on the shape of your ears.) Overall, I really enjoyed them for the time I used them(8-10 hours), but for a daily gamer like myself I need something that is more comfortable for extended periods of time. Thanks for reading.

I got this headset because I was looking for a multi platform headset. I play Xbox online with a part mostly, so my review is geared towards that. Well... as soon as my party started talking, they could hear themselves echoing. I was watching the party chat while being quiet, and my profile kept lighting up as if I was talking on the microphone when I'm not whenever members in my party spoke. The headset is comfortable, but not when wearing glasses as I have my gaming glasses on the whole time. I mentioned that it has good amount of loudness and it's true. This headset is louder compared to most of it's counterparts. It's even louder compared to a $200 headset that I tried. If you don't play with a party, and you want a value headset with good loudness, then the HS60 is the way to go. I had to return it, but it was a hard thing for me to do because I just wish that it worked. I would still recommend it.

These headphones are the absolute best you will find for $50 or less. When I first bought a pair of gaming headphones I bought some $30 junky pair from Walmart. They hurt, they sounded terrible, and broke within 3 months. I decided to spend just a little more on these Corsairs and I am so glad I did. These are crazy comfortable. I have big ears and they go completely over my ear easily. They are extremely light to where you forget they are on. The sound is very good and is very accurate for sensing directional noises in games. The removable mic is also cool for watching movies. The cord is very long so there will be no issues there and even comes with a velcro tie to shorten it. Mic quality is clear. These work with Ps4 and Xbox One for me. I’d recommend these to anyone wanting a great pair of budget headphones.

Used this headset for about a year before upgrading to the wireless version (HS70) Really love this headset, super comfortable, not too tight, doesn't make your ears sweat and still pretty easy to hear if someones calling your name behind you. Great sound quality for the price and super easy to hear enemies coming from behind you. The biggest downside of it is the mic, it's not that good, at all. It almost feels as if it's an afterthought. HOWEVER. The mic is detachable allowing you to use a separate usb mic. You can also plug the headset directly into any aux port, including your phone and use it to listen to music or watch videos when you're not at home. I still do this with my wired version. Great for a gamer on a budget.

Headphones just stopped working one day

The headphones worked without Corsair software, but the microphone didn't. After downloading the software and choosing the appropriate settings, the headphones and mic worked fine for a little over one week. The headphones just quit working one day. At first they seemed to be creating no sound, but after some troubleshooting, there was extremely muffled sound and it wouldn't get better. After having spent a bunch of time on these headphones over a two week period, they went back to the store and I bought something more reliable, with no USB connector, and that doesn't require additional software. I expect headphones and microphones to work straight out of the box, and these definitely did not.

The headphones are quality, easy to use, and do not require a lot of setup. You can immediately start using them after you hook up the USB. The volume adjust is nice as is the push to talk. Push in for no mic - push again to talk - super easy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars to these headphones out of the gate is the sound isolation. By that I mean when you put them on - they are comfortable - but you do not hear much happening around you. This is great for game immersion but it will take time for me to adjust to this style. I find I talk louder than normal with them on as well due to the same sound isolation issue - not hearing myself as well. But that really is the only drawback. Great value for the money.

Just wanted a cheaper pair of headphones for the PS4 and seen these on a lot of peoples top 10 and nothing but good reactions. Sound is good and get plenty loud enough. Playing Blackout on COD 4 is more clear and can hear direction of footsteps really good. The volume control is very helpful and handy. Lacking bass in the game, but listening to music was really pleasantly surprising. To me low, mids and highs are all there. Bass especially if using some sort of equalizer. I used the one built in with spotify and S8+. Glad I purchased these. I wished the HS70 wireless ones had the option to use 3.5mm instead of strictly wireless. A steal at $49.99.

I play games regularly and since my old headphones were broke. I had to use my iPhone’s air-whatever’s for audio and the mic was trash. I had been wanting this headphone for a while, but I was spending a lot of money on traveling and taxes. So you can tell how happy I was when a friend gave $60 for my birthday. After I had installed iCUE this headphone felt like a gift from god. I could hear everything clearly and I could use it’s directional sound to help me in games like Rainbow 6 Siege and CSGO. Overall this is a good priced product and it is definitely worth the $60.

For what I paid and what I was expecting, these headphones sound great. There are better sounding headphones, but not in this price range. I wear them at work during the day for extended periods of time and find them comfortable. I do notice they are a tad snug, but it doesn't affect comfort. I also sometimes wear glasses and find no discomfort. The detachable microphone is handy as well (I keep it in a drawer). Volume knob on left ear piece is handy as well. Headphone audio is not detachable, but longer (at 6' length) than most headsets. Primary use for listening to music and web conferences. I'm happy with music sound quality!

When getting the headset I immediately noticed that the quality of the headset was really well thought out. From the cushions and the metal grills to add some subtle design. The sound of these are amazing and high quality for its price. The included surround sound adapter for pc does have a slight difference to games that do require you to hear a lot. Overall I would recommend people this headset if they’re on a budget and don’t feel the need to spend up to 150 dollars on higher quality headsets.

this headset has fantastic sound and is the most comfortable headset I have ever owned! The mic is detachable and it has buttons for volume and mute mic on the backside of the headset. A usb connector comes with the headset so it can be used with any console and or pc. When you download the corsair software you can turn on the 7.1 surround sound and wow does it sound great! My only complaint is that when you talk with the headset you cannot hear your voice in the headset and I do not really like that, but besides that this headset is amazing!

I was looking for a good quality, budget-friendly headset with 7.1 surround sound support to complete my gaming setup. I ended up going with this one, and I don't regret it. The earcups are super comfy and the sound quality is amazing. The build is nice, and it's a bit tight at first, but it'll eventually "break in" and you'll get used to it. It's very sturdy and snug. Overall, I'd really recommend going with this one if you're looking for a budget headset with a premium feel and good sound.

Fairly straight forward. It's a great headset. Sound quality is great, with or without the 7.1 surround sound enabled (I prefer to use Stereo audio since I find digitized surround sound to feel quite strange). The microphone quality is also quite good, and the goose-neck mic lets you adjust it for your specific dimensions. My only complaint is that, with the metal frame, it can feel a bit heavy and stiff on your head after hours of gaming. Small complaint for such a good quality headset though. Corsair doesn't disappoint!

Very well constructed and the cord is plenty long enough for conne tiong to your pc. If your on a console, the velcro strap helps manage the excess cord. The earpads are very comfortable. I average 4 to 7 hours a gaming session and no issues with comfort. Microphone is very clear. Wish the boom was a little longer for my tastes. The included 7.1 adaptor works great on my laptop and these headphones are used on my pc as well as the xbox. Another great product from Corsair.

I'm not a gamer. I bought this to use from my home office to listen to music and to do remote conferences. I love this headset. It's comfortable. It works well and sounds great. Great build quality...but I'm not surprised because Corsair is a brand known for consistent quality. I'm impressed with this headset in every way and what a great value for the price I paid! I've had this for over a month and I'm a very satisfied customer.

I chose this headset because they were the most comfortable on my ears, and I liked the way they looked. However, something about the quality control is lacking, leading to my three star review. My first headset's microphone died within a month. I thought it was just a fluke so I exchanged it for another one. The new headset's microphone then proceeded to die within three months. I love the design and the feel, but the quality control doesn't seem to be up to par on the microphones.

Got this headset for the boys for Christmas. It worked fine up until about two weeks ago. There is a ton of static that can be heard from the headset. And nothing can be heard coming from the headset. I didn’t get the Best Buy warranty. Not sure what kind of warranty The manufacturer has on this or how to get it fixed or replaced. Lesson learned. Get a higher quality product and get the warranty from Best Buy for the extra $10

I've generally been trusting Corsair products for a number of years now, and the headset did not disappoint. Combined with the great sale I got it for, and it was a great buy. I was almost tempted to get one for myself since this one was a Christmas gift for my daughter and my own headset is being held together with black duct tape due to the poor plastic construction (the Corsair headset is much more durable), but I ended up getting the last one I could find in the store.
