I think it had a bad iCUE Link unit. Best Buy exhanged it for a second unit and now everything works great. The new fans are connected by one wire. No more separe power and RGB wires.

The iCUE link system makes it so much easier to deal with and looks cleaner!

Not a bad solution when trying to keep a tody build.
