Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the K100 RGB keyboard's quality, RGB lighting, and key feel, frequently praising its smooth and responsive typing experience. Many appreciate the included wrist rest and the ease of customizing the lighting. While some find the software complex and the price high, the positive feedback on the keyboard's performance outweighs these concerns. The optical switches are also a frequently cited positive feature.

This is my first mechanical gaming keyboard and it is a night and day difference between this and the membrane type. It took a little getting used to the speed but I love the sound when I type and the speed for gaming is addictive. I don't use many features of this keyboard but the colors are amazing and the keys feel outstanding. I still feel it is a little expensive though

Pros: Standard size - Important for programmers such as myself. Quiet - Not the quietest, my EVGA Z20 is quieter, but this one's not far off. Around 10dB louder, if that. Smooth keystrokes - especially once filmed/lubed. Programmable profiles/macros and some of the SEXIEST RGB you'll ever see on a keyboard. There are over 180 LED's on this keyboard... The Control wheel is a bit of a gimmick for me, but it is cool to be able to set it to do different things, and have different "profile colors" for each wheel function and have them able to be switched through on the fly. Wrist rest attaches magnetically, and I've removed/cleaned mine several times and it hasn't broken yet. There's no "click-in" style tabs - just simple, elegant magnets, and two "arms" that descend beneath the keyboard into their seats.

    - Tried Alienware Cherry and Razer Huntsman purple clicky. The K100 was a clear winner in my book. - Clearly a high quality build. You can see and feel it. Much more substantial than the Huntsman. - lights are best I’ve seen even though it wasn’t my main priority. It simply looks stunning. - keys are perfect sensitivity for me. I was concerned when some people said it was too sensitive, so I was pleasantly surprised when that wasn’t the case. - Only gripe is the wheel thing is not intuitive at all. I still need to read up on this feature. I am very happy this far. You know when you buy clothing or shoes that simply fit you perfectly, and there is no question you made the right choice? Oh yeah, price. I didn’t care and still don’t. I’d rather pay 200 bucks for something that’s perfect than take even a discounted alternative that doesn’t quite feel right.

Never thought that I’d buy a keyboard for this price, but there is a clear difference between this and a cheaper model. The rgb is one of the best I’ve seen and the software is great as well. The keys are so smooth and it’s a sleek looking machine. The other keyboards I feel like I replace every few years, this is a good enough keyboard it might be the last keyboard I buy.

Got it at a discount, the keyboard feels amazing and love the armwrist. My only complaint is that it my keys weren't working after a while, probably because I sweat a lot. Overall a good keyboard but you should only get it if its on a discount.

Really nice product. The construction of the keyboard itself is satisfying. The brushed aluminum look gives it a durable and sleek look. The RGB is bright and vibrant and iCUE software is super easy to use to super customizable. The wrist rest is a little wack because of the magnetic design, but it's comfortable.

I'm a keyboard collector. I haven't dipped my toes into the boutique realm yet, no custom boards and all that, but I've had a ton from Corsair, Razer, Logitech, and Steelseries. This is, far and away, the best keyboard I have ever laid my hands on. The OPX switches (do NOT get the Cherry ones) are incredible, and the wrist rest is perfect. I even like the streamdeck keys for the once in a blue moon streaming I do. I haven't quite gotten all of the settings in iCue to where I want them, and frankly haven't found a single use for the wheel that wasn't gimmicky, but I've heard it's amazing for working in media editing software. To me, the main point of a keyboard is how good the typing experience is, and this beats every single other one I've used. No, it's not clicky, but it's effortless all the same. Get it. It's worth it.

The Corsair K 100 stands above all other keyboards I have used. The build quality stands above all other keyboards. The keys are quiet, but give excellent feedback. The IQ integration is one of the main reasons I chose this keyboard. 100% would recommend

So, I had a GSkill KM780R MX before this one and I was of the belief that a keyboard is a keyboard. Then I read some reviews and looked at some YouTube videos. So, since I had a number of gift cards plus my birthday coupon was expiring soon, I said let's do it. Curbside pick up brought it home and actually waited until later in the evening. Finally plugged it in and all I can say is that I WAS SO WRONG! This may be the best keyboard (gaming or otherwise) on the planet. Key stroking is SO fluid. I could care less about about the software. It's fine. However, the care that went into the design and quality of construction is unmatched. I had no idea that a high performance keyboard could have this much of an impact. "Yes it's pricey, but it is worth it." No, it really is worth it. You will not be disappointed.

My first unit had a defective multi function wheel, and had to be exchanged. Things happen and I'm not going to take off any stars for this, especially since Best Buy made an exchange so easy. Just like many others are saying, while this keyboard is definitely expensive, it's worth every penny! (I tried some Razer keyboards, and used Logitech for years, but the K100 is a game changer!). This is the most pleasant typing I've experienced in my entire life! The wrist rest area is padded and very comfortable. The RGB looks great and is very customizable, although the iCue software might take some time to get used to. Overall, I love it! This is an amazing keyboard, and now that I know how it feels, I'd be willing to pay double, just to never go back to anything else. This must be the reason why they're hard to find locally!

Corsair's flagship keyboard is pricey but worth it if you have the budget. Awesome build quality and RGB. I especially like the OPX switches. For me, they feel/sound better than the cherry MX speed switches (I previously had the K95/w these). I also enjoy using the programmable gaming keys (on the left side). Setting up macros in iCue is simple. Also, it comes with FPS and MOBA keycaps which are a great touch if you use them. My only criticism is with Corsair's iCue software which is good, but sometimes not intuitive and buggy. This is not a knock to the K100, but since you need iCue to control all its features and RGB, you may have to do a bit of trial and error getting things customized the way you want. I'm hoping Corsair continues to update/improve iCue as they have been doing over the years.

    K100 with OPX switch

I got this K100 just to try the OPX optical switch in real gaming, when just try the demo keyboard in the store you can't feel the real performance of the switch. And before I continue the K100 is also offered with Cherry MX speed silver switch but is not sold in Best Buy. So for me personally the OPX switch is fantastic, fast response and less force when pressing the key which is exactly what I needed, I also tested the K100 with Cherry MX speed silver and these keys are also very good, but they are a little harder to press but give you more precision in movement, so it's better to test both and see which one you like more, my hands are medium size so I prefer lighter press on the optical switch, but someone with large hands might prefer the Cherry MX mechanical switch. Now I didn't keep the keyboard because I don't like the extra macro keys which I don't use, but other players may like it, so other than the OPX switch and the macro keys and the function wheel the keyboard is not any different than the Corsair K70 pro. The other thing is that Corsair K70 pro is also offered with OPX switch but not sold in Best Buy, I ordered from another store and I'm happy with it and the price is less than the K100. So if you don't need the extra features of the K100 I recommend Corsair K70 pro which is $80 less at full retail price. And if you need more fancy keys there's Corsair K70 Max with magnetic switch which I never tried but is even more expensive than the K100. Overall the price is very high for just some extra features that offers but the keys are fantastic.

This keyboard is by no means bad. In fact, at first I loved it. It's nice and sensitive, easy to use, and I love the new knob that they added. I can tell though that corsair is still trying to work out the kinks with their new optical switches. The switches themselves are ok, but the long keys (i.e. shift, enter, backspace, etc) are.... spongy... They don't bottom out smoothly, which was a bit of a deal breaker for me. I hope they make a revision of this soon so I can go buy another one since it is a really really good keyboard with a lot of potential! As it stands though, I will not recommend it in its current state because of the spongy keys (this is is actually caused by the stabilizers on the long keys). Once a revision is made, I am likely to buy it again. If it wasn't for that though, it would get a solid five stars from me.

This is a premium product. I had been using a mechanical Razer BlackWidow keyboard for some years. But I had obtained a new PC case with Corsair RGB fans, so I wanted a keyboard to match. I watched some YouTube reviews of this keyboard and fell in love with the sophisticated look of this keyboard. The optical switches were another selling point. The RGB on this keyboard is amazing, I have replaced the keycaps with Tecware's Pudding Black keycaps and now the keyboard really glows! The wrist wrest that comes with this is also very nice. The cord is pretty long and durable.

Corsair is usually known for their lights and glitz. And the K100 definitely has that. But this manufacturer also went out and tried to make the most advanced keyboard ever. Light switches... signature customizable keys... 4000hz polling... new gimmicky wheel for customization. I really like quick the key clicks are now, however you cannot rest your hands on the keys softly when set at 4000hz. The light customization is amazing with the iCue software. The need for two USB ports kind of sucks. But most people who use this are power users and have a bunch of USB ports, I’d expect. Comes with special WASD keys for gamers.

This review is for the model with Corsair's new optical switches. Being the owner of a K95 Platinum, I was hesitant to upgrade. Then I went to my local store and tested out the demo model. It was all over at that point. That's how good this keyboard feels. I didn't think that Corsair could improve upon the K95, but my God, they have. Only downside is the iCue software, but you don't need it to use the keyboard. I had my reservations about the wheel, but I'm actually making use of it. Worth the steep price tag.

My first mechanical keyboard. While shopping around, I found this on sale and thought, why not. Best investment I spent. Macro keys helps make my repetitive workload go by much faster and I find myself using the volume wheel a lot more than I thought. The RGB is unique and with the iCue software, configuring it is a breeze. This wrist rest is MUCH better than the hard plastic that comes with the other Corsair K series keyboards. My only warning is that when I rest my fingers on the keys, it will sometime activate the switch. That is mostly due to the speed switches that come installed on the keyboard. After some time, it hasnt been a major problem anymore.

The absolute best I have ever experienced. Corsair makes the very best, quality you can see and feel. The RGB lighting is the very best I have ever seen on a keyboard. Customization is endless…

    Title: Corsair K100 RGB — A Feature-Packed Powerho

The CORSAIR K100 RGB nails what it sets out to be: a bleeding-edge, customizable, high-performance keyboard for gamers, streamers, and power users. Its speed, build quality, and feature set stand out. That said, you’ll want to be comfortable with complexity, invest time in tweaking settings, and accept the premium cost. For those who want “everything” and plan to use it, the K100 is an outstanding choice.
