I had used all of the major brands such as razor, alienware, corsair, et al. This keyboard takes the cake. It has vivid chroma lighting, a solid metallic structure! (Not cheap metal looking plastic) other brands use. The volume scroll feels amazing in comparison to buttons. Last but not definitely not least, the keys and switches. Great tactile feel with every key stroke. Very comfortable to use and you can definitely tell they are quality, both from these features, and the sound of the clickiness. Not too loud , but clearly audible when fully pressed down.

Son bought it for college after realizing conventional keyboards had drawbacks with Computer Science projects. Keys decrease fatigue and functions helpful for coding and other homework. Board lighting very cool/attractive to the eye. Great for games of course.

I recently upgraded to this keyboard from a g910 and I have been nothing but happy by doing so. It's super fast and responsive. The quick switches are nice and not too loud. It only took about 3-4 days to get used to the difference between the switches in the 910 and the switches in this one. I was unsure if I was going to like it that first day but by the second day I could already tell this one was the winner. Lighting is great, build quality is excellent, and most importantly, it's ergonomic and comfortable.

Great keyboard with awesome build quality. You can customize it many ways from the colors, patters and style to the keys and hand rest. It may be expensive but it is well worth the price if it is within your "budget"

I had to trade my Blackwidow Elite for this!

I originally had a Razer Blackwidow Elite keyboard before I got the Corsair k95 platinum. Once I saw this $200 keyboard on sale for $140, I had to snag it and I will say it has it’s up and downs. Pros: I love the RGB light strip on the top! Lights up the top of my desk and has many features you can customize in the Corsair Icue program. The Marco keys are very useful! Especially for nongamer users! You can edit the Marcos to do whatever you desire. I have it to open application. The key switches I got is the Cherry MX Browns. Has a nice tactical feedback and very interesting. It sounds nice but I do wish it comes with Cherry Blue switches for those clicky switches lovers. For a $200 keyboard, it should be a no brained to have the option but I digress. The Corsair texture keycaps is a huge plus! I use the FPS and MOBA keycaps because I use them on any game I use! It’s just so nice feeling where your WASD kegs are without looking down and losing where they are located Cons: The Razer Wrist rest was more comfortable because of the padding but the Corsair has a smooth rubber and fought texture. It’s decent but they could have done better, especially for a $200 keyboard. The blackwidow elite has a audio jack and this one does not. Something a $150 keyboard has and a $200 doesn’t. Razer has more RGB customizing features than Corsair, it’s not the keyboard fault but do note that Razer has more features. BUT you can download customize RGB lighting from Corsair. There’s only 1 level of the keyboard raise. Other keyboards has two levels a keyboard can raise but this $200 keyboard only has one...

    Not just for Gaming

Im sure most purchased this for Gaming, but i am a software engineer and musician and a keyboard like this makes things in my realm easier as well. Most music software and IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) have their own shortcut keys and having to constantly refer to a keyboard layout template for short cut keys is pain. Sure you eventually remember all the keys but it is also easier to have them represented by color. Which is how i use this keyboard 90% of the time. To be honest it works great! I obviously play some games on a computer as well, but that was not the main purpose for this keyboard, but it does game well if I may add. Overall the only thing i don't really like is the click and clack sounds. Sure it is quieter than Cherry MX Blue or MX Red, but i would much rather have the MX Red Silent in this layout. Also the Gaming keys could be located in a better place. When you goto hit escape it is easy to trigger one of them rather than escape. This is because most people know escape is on the upper left corner (With the k95 not any more it aint, its G1 now). But this is just a small nit pick. So my recommendations for Corsair on this keyboard. 1st off Fantastic keyboard I LOVE IT! Only Gripes are Game Key location. (perhaps on the top would be better.) Also a wider range of Cherry MX options such as Silent Red. Feel wise the keys are great! just can get loud if you are the only one up at night and are typing.

I got this keyboard after reading the online reviews of the top keyboards out in the market. This keyboard is amazing and you can customize the light pattern on it. The ICUE app for desktop is a bit glitchy but besides that it’s amazing. I feel like I can hit my keys faster as well as if you’re a true gamer you can set up the specific keys to like the QWER DF with different rugged keys that are included.

After a lot of research I decided to purchase the k95 platinum keyboard. I’m happy I did. The keyboard is heavy which just adds a good feeling of how sturdy it is. You can slam those keys down and it won’t hurt it. The brown switches have the right amount of clickiness. Not too loud and not too quiet. The rgb lighting it has it awesome. People say Corsair icue is difficult to use but it really isn’t. Happy with my purchase.

Finally decided to upgrade my cheap keyboard to this and it did not disappoint. I would have never bought this for $200 but for $110 I couldn't resist. The build quality on this thing is amazing. It feels sturdy and I can tell it will last. The attachable wrist rest does feel a little weak where it hooks to the keyboard but my keyboard doesn't move much so it shouldn't be an issue. Moving from a compact keyboard with no num pad or macro buttons I am having some trouble getting used to the size but with time they will be a welcomed addition. Also the media and volume buttons are awesome to have. The RGB lighting is what you would expect in a premium accessory. You can customize every button color to your liking and add effects to the whole keyboard. If you have other RGB equipment you can sync colors and effects through the software to make everything match. Going from my cheap keyboard which had cherry mx red (I think) switches the first thing I noticed was a huge difference in the noise. There still is some tactile clicking but it is more muffled with the cherry mx brown switches. I have noticed the space bar is much louder than the rest of the keyboard but it doesn't bother me much. Overall this is a great keyboard. Once I tackle the learning curve of the icue software for the lighting I will be very happy. I couldn't recommend it more. I rated it 4/5 for ease of use due to the learning curve of the lighting software.

We had been watching this K95 keyboard for a while now, and were intimidated by the price. But Best Buy comes to the rescue again with an unbeatable price - lower than all the other stores we looked at! This one is the best you can get from Corsair. The keys have a great feel and give to them..not too klacky. The RGB lighting is awesome, and paired with a matching mouse, the light show we get is terrific. I would recommend this keyboard!

Well built keyboard and metal finish with very responsive switches. Able to load RGB profiles and comes with a key remover. No headset port but I'm completely fine with that since I use wireless headsets anyways. Software CUE is a bit of a pain but definitely improved from previous versions. All around the K95 is awesome. Definitely a plus for gaming setups or just those wanting a light show! Lol.

This Keyboard is rock solid and highly functional. It feels great to use and subtle things like alerting you when u hit the Caps Lock key to having a rotating volume knob right at your finger tips. Big long space bar with spare gaming keys. Lastly it looks great! Used it heavily for three weeks and it feels like it will last for years.

When I first started considering a new keyboard, I mainly was focused on the switches. The main features that caught my eyes with this keyboard is the brown switches, which are the basic standard for gaming so as not to annoy the other gamers but still have that nice key feel, and the fact that this is a Corsair product. Before I got this keyboard, I had the Corsair harpoon RGB mouse, the void pro wired headset, and the k55 keyboard. All of those products had been with me for at least a year, and have been fantastic. All of those products have been fantastic and durable, so I knew this would be too. The per key lighting is fantastic for aesthetics, the customization is great, and it has a great overall feel. The keyboard comes with a key remover for easy inner access and cleaning, and it comes with special key caps for the basic WASD and another for MOBA games, I believe. The special key caps have raised edges, so you have less chance to hit the wrong keys, giving you a good subtle edge. All in all, a fantastic keyboard in all aspects.

I love this keyboard so much, it has everything you need and more. It has the macros, the rgb lighting, the perfect feel, the style and finish and the great corsair software which in my opinion is better than logitech, Razer, Alienware, and Steelseries. This keyboard is hands down the best, and I have owned them all and tested them.

Best looking rgb keyboard on the market. Very customizable using the Corsair interface. Has a USB pass through on front for mouse or headset which is convenient. Wrist rest is very comfortable. Keys sound and feel so good! It's pricey but worth it if you take advantage of all it has to offer. Once you go k95 platinum you don't go back!
