Short and sweet here. It's expensive, but worth every penny.
The mechanical keys have not needed replacement in 2 years of heavy use.
iCUE is a solid device manager.
The lightning is badass. Nothing really to say. If you have the $$$ you cannot go wrong with this laptop.

The keyboard is really sturdy with great sensitivity to the tact. The volume wheel is smooth and responsive. The keyboard itself is a little loud. I write code on this beast and it is great. Tons of customization.
In addition, support in Linux is a breeze, even the nice color LED works as it is handled by hardware.

Excellent keyboard, clunky macro software

The macro buttons are useless unless you install 3 softwares and have them all running at the same time and code the macro action for the 4th piece of software that you are actually working in. The keyboard itself is great. And reasonably priced for what you get. The individual lighting is useful as well as fun. Mechanical keyboards are normally $200. So you are getting a deal on these switches.

Keys are spaced very naturally. Key travel is short and light enough to make typing ultra fast and effortless while giving the reassuring 'thunk' of a mechanical keyboard. The switchable keys have a nice noticable texture to them without making it a nightmare to use for general typing. Rgb is vibrant without being harsh or overbearing. Customizing colors & schemes in corsair's software isnt the fastest process, but it's straighforward and can be figured out by someone with minimal setup experience. There is a wide variety of color presets that come in the stock program. I use the volume roller religiously. It feels well constructed, and is a million times better than having to hold down some fn+f3 combo to adjust volume while in game. Price is a little stiff. There are a lot of fantastic keyboards at and below this price point and it pays to do research and decide for yourself what you really want. I looked for a while and decided that I wanted what this keyboard uniquely offers. To me the price is justified. I haven't looked back.

My first gaming keyboard. I must say the colors are beautiful, the clicking is nice and not loud as others, its really fast response when typing, the texture of the letter buttons are nice, doesnt feel cheap and i'm liking the volume roller. You get 6 macro buttons as you can see on the pics. I like the fact the cords are made with good material to endure any twisting and moving around from damage down the road. Im really happy to own a Corsair product especially when its well made and thought of. The palm rest nice and adds a support for long gaming sessions but i prefer it off the keyboad as it makes typing easier i guess for me. Overall, i got it on sale for 30 bucks off. Wished it was a little more off, but was in the beginning of building my own gaming pc. Doesnt feel cheap and sure doesn't cost cheap. If you have the money to spared and is really needing a new gaming keyboard or something with some style or colors or fast response. This is worth your time invest in.

I upgraded from the previous k95 and will admit this is just better all around. If you want the keys have a nice tactile feel and are not too loud, though you can get MX Silent, just not on this keyboard. The dedicated macro keys are wonderful, as I play MMORPG's this helps as apposed to using control and shift to macro. The colors are great, the added rgb along the top is eye catching. I like the reversible wrist pad, though I will be adding a custom napa leather & foam that I will diy to use the magnetism. It looks fine at this time, but with long hours you might wish for softer rests, the competitors have softer, but I think they will wear out fast and tear. Better to get sturdier and add your own, it isn't very hard. I didn't buy it for the wrist rest, I bought it for the build quality as it's metal, not plastic and very sturdy! Get it, you will notice an improvement in game play.

Big step up from G910

I had a Logitech G910 for many years and this keyboard is quite a bit better. The Keys are great, just the feel of the keystrokes is a large improvement. It is not nearly as loud as the G910 because of the silent Cherrys. I'm not a competitive gamer so I can't really tell if there is any speed differences between the G910 and the K95 but the keys are really nice to use. The Programmable Macro keys are really nice, far enough away so you don't accidentally press them but not too far away that you have to break your focus to find them. I have many products in the Corsair ecosystem so I was already running iCue anyways so it was nice to bring my keyboard into it and stop having to run the Logitech program too. The RGB is amazing, very bright and easily controllable and it is really nice to have the buttons right on top to control it all.

I’ve been gaming for years and my old membrane keyboard from razer felt really cheap and lackluster. I really wanted a real mechanical keyboard, and this one stood out above the rest. I got to try them out and at different stores and after some research this exact keyboard was the one for me. I really like the brown switches as opposed to the typical blues or reds. They have a really nice clickyness to them and the RBG is just gorgeous, I love how you can customize the light pattern with the Corsair software. I love how each key is individually lit and comes with customizable key caps for WASD. It’s on the pricey side, but it blows a lot of the competitors out of the water. If you can afford it, this is a great pickup. The only downfall, is the included wrist rest since it’s a tad stiff. Besides that 10/10

This keyboard is just gorgeous. The RGB lighting is awesome, but the aluminum chassis and open switch style design really adds up. The wrist rest is very nice also, and I love the heavier textured side while gaming. The RGB syncs well with the Corsair m65 mouse I have for some cool on-click effects in game. Nothing like having a ripple of color expand across your board from your laptop every time you fire a shot in game.
One big gripe here though, and it is a software issue with iCue. Compared to the razer synapse software, corsair really dropped the ball on the automatic profile swapping. Sometimes it works, and sometimes you get killed in game hitting buttons that are not doing what you wanted them to do because the profile never switched when you launched the game. They really need to fix this singular blemish on their peripherals... It drives me mad with the mouse, but at least this k95 keyboard has a dedicated profile switch button which can sometimes help you swap key maps when they fail to load automatically.
Price: I got this on sale, for a price that exceeds the msrp of most competitors... If you get a similar sale, this is the board to go with as it will stand out or beat most other boards for $150, but iof you see it listed for $200, then you may be less inclined as there are a few other interesting options at that point like the optical switch razer huntsman... I am not saying that is better, but it would be worth comparing if you like the bleeding edge.

Amazing quality keyboard with beautiful RGB lights and customization. I personally think the font of the keys is a bit silly looking, but at least its no comic sans. No real complaints about the keyboard, solid keyboard by a solid company, especially when (like me) you switch all your PC peripherals and lights to corsiar. ICue plays nicely and is comfortable to use. One minor issue, could be with my particular unit, but sometimes the keyboard volume wheel hard locks the keyboard and sets the volume to 0, and the only fix is to unplug and re-plug back in the unit. Regardless, not worth tarnishing the otherwise perfect score.

This is by far the best Keyboard I have owned. It comes with 6 buttons on the side you can program to anything, I actually still have 5 of those buttons with nothing programmed. It also came with the Performace Key Caps as well! The RGB on the K95 Platinum is awesome as well, the light strip on top makes this my favorite RGB. If you are looking at getting this, I promise you won't regret it.

My old keyboard had issues so I decided I wanted a mechanical keyboard. So off to Best Buy with a friend, he suggested a Corsair Platinum K95, then keyboard with SPEED switches was on sale and I was told there was not much difference between the speed and brown switches. Well, there is!! I returned the keyboard and got this version with BROWN switches, easy to type on and has a great feel!!! I customized the key lights, it looks sharp. Software is a little tricky but plenty of helpful videos on line. Pricy for a keyboard to type but on sale and it works very well. It was a great purchase.

This keyboard is outstanding, and I highly recommend it. It does come with Cherry MX Speed switches instead if that's more your style, however that board will run you roughly $30 more than the Cherry Brown. Everything about this keyboard was laid out perfectly. Comfort, performance, and most importantly, RGB! The multimedia keys are great, and work with pretty much any web browser or software. There is a lot of room for customization, I recently swapped the keycaps for some HyperX PBT caps to increase the lighting. Another excellent product from Corsair.

Best Keyboard I could have hoped for. Cherry MX browns give you a tactile feedback without that loud clicky clack. Icue also syncs with other corsair patterns, allowing them to synchronise with each other and adding tons of light patterns and movements on top of each other. USB pass through and channels underneath the keyboard for cable management. The wrist rest sucks, but I didn't buy a wrist rest. I bought perhaps the best keyboard you can buy.
