After searching online, I found lots of similar posts, be cautious to purchase it since you may need to spend lots of time to troubleshoot.

You need to purchase the lighting kit itself first so you get the lighting node pro in order to connect these lights to the motherboard.

That's correct, this is called the LED Lighting PRO Expansion Kit and is an add-on for an existing lighting kit setup.
Bright lights, bad strips

While that works as expected, one of the LED light strips soon started to blink and not change color. I ended up only needing three, so that wasn't an issue. Fast forward 6 months, and a second LED strip has started to blink and won't change colors - I'm stuck with the 'B' in 'RGB'. I've removed the dead strip and am now just waiting for the others go to shortly. While Corsair peripherals are great and their Commander Controller works well, I won't be buying any more RGB devices from them.

Came defective out of box
