I only trust Corsair for my builds, worked great for what I needed it to do

This is ATX 3.1 complient which makes it incompatable with Asus Strix X99 Mother Boards. This is due to the removearal of the negative 12 volt connection (pin 14) which is now set to a modulating voltage (read somewhere online trying to figure out why I couldnt get my computer to work))
I got this psu as it was listed for $76.99 on the shelf and I thought that was to good to be true. I even had a employee come over and check and they saisd that was in deed the correct price. So I got this psu and went to check out.
It is in fact NOT $76.99 BUT $149.99
Pic for reference.
So I am not a fan of Best buys switch and bait on prices. If I didn't need my PC up and working I would wait for a replacement psu from amazon.
Icing on the cake this PSU is not compatible to my PC as ATX 3.1 is different than ATX 3.0. So if you have older hardware than you will need to avoid this as the new standard is not compatible. ATX 3.0 is the last compatible standard for older hardware.
Please complain directly to Best Buy regarding price as that's irrelevant to the product itself. As far as compatibility, please confirm your components are compatible before purchasing to avoid issues.

The Corsair RM850x is an excellent PSU that provides a top-tier balance of performance, features, and value. Its silent operation and fully modular cables make for a clean and quiet system, while its robust power delivery and high-quality components ensure long-term reliability. Just be mindful of the specific model version you purchase if ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support are critical for your build.

I upgraded my older non modular corsair 700w to this 850w for a new MSI 5070Ti. This power supply allows you to use the single native 12V-2x6 cable instead of the bulky MSI 3 into 1 adapter that introduces multiple failure points. I can't hear it running in my be quiet! Pure Base 501 case. I am still not a big fan of the new spaghetti string style cables now vs the traditional mesh shrouded cables previously but I know it's better for cable routing. No issues with the power supply. 5 Stars

Performance is great for my set up, came with plenty of extra wires for future setups and its very quiet the adjustable knob for the fan clock is a huge plus making adjustments to make sure the power supply doesn't run hot.

Great performance, not too noisy, 0 trouble. The quality of the cables is great, fully modular so its easy to install, I used to power a R7 7700x with a 7900xt, tons of fans and RGB and this psu has more than enough power. Highly recommend.

The Corsair RM850x is a powerhouse—literally. I chose this PSU for a high-performance build with a 5060 Ti GPU and Ryzen 7, and it hasn’t missed a beat. Power delivery is rock-solid even under full load, and the 80+ Gold efficiency rating means it runs cool and helps keep the energy bill in check.
Fully modular cables make the build process clean and simple—no extra clutter in the case, and airflow is noticeably better because of it. The fan barely ever spins up under normal use, and when it does, it’s virtually silent.
It also includes a generous amount of cables for future expansion, including PCIe 5.0 GPU compatibility. This is one of those “buy it once and don’t worry again” components. Whether you’re gaming, editing, or just building for stability, it’s a smart investment.

Needed to get this to upgrade my PC. Very easy to manually install, makes cable management a breeze. Quiet and reliable. Everything you would want in a power supply.

This Corsair RM850x is an outstanding power supply. It runs completely silent most of the time, even under load, and provides very stable voltage. The fully modular design makes cable management easy and clean. Build quality feels premium, and it handles my high-end GPU and CPU with no issues at all. Definitely worth the price for anyone building a quality PC.
