I used to use the Razer Naga for gaming in my mmorpgs and rts games. The scimitar blows that out of the water. This mouse is fast, responsive and definitely gives me an edge when gaming. I love the spacing between the buttons. The mouse has a nice solid weight and feel to it, plus it has customizable colors so I can match it to all my other devices. I Highly recommend this mouse if your looking for something new!

Not the top end, not the lower. This mouse is a good mid level gaming mouse. For the money, it is a great thing for the casual gamer. However, if your intent is for hardcore gaming, spend a few dollars more and upgrade.

The mouse is too bright, as in much to harsh on my eyes! Looking at it too long leaves images in my eyes similar to looking a naked light bulb :( I wish I'd waited and purchased the Razer mouse that I really wanted (it was sold out at the time). I do not recommend this product. Otherwise it works as stated with lots of programmable buttons.

I was a Razor fanboy for a long time (BUT NOT ANYMORE), I liked the feel of the mice and the 12 buttons on the side as I am a gamer, my first mouse from them died 1 month outside of the warranty period, the next one a razor naga chroma, died after only 5 months and razor was horrible to me about replacing it, trying to make me pay for return shipping, after sending my mouse in over a month and a half ago no one seems to be able to find it...hmm. Between all that and the constant neverending Razor Syapse updates that require a restart and never work right I was just done. So, I went in search of a logitech mouse and found nothing with buttons on the side like razor, then I walked into bestbuy and found this Corsair mouse... I said ok i'll give it a try, their RAM is killer how will the mouse be? Well, the mouse itself is fantastic, and what's more, you can MOVE the entire side area with the buttons forward or backwards nearly an entire inch, so depending on your hand size there's always a right spot for you with the simple turn of a included hex key. Moving on to the software... sweet baby Jesus... it takes a virgin blood sacrifice on a full moon to figure this s**t out...I'm not kidding. It's backarsewards at best but once you do figure it out everything is fine... for the simple sake of never having to deal with Razor again I will recommend this mouse to anyone. After several youtube videos I was able to use the software and program the mouse accordingly. At a later date when I have the time i'll upload a more concise tutorial than I was able to find on youtube, in hopes to save ppl some time. Bottom line? The mouse works great, there are no constant software updates in fact i've not had a single one, and no issues with the mouse at all. Boom. Got a question? comment on the review and I'll help you if I can. sidenote- the cord is a bit shorter than i'd like for my current setup, but it's long enough for the vast majority to not have any issues.

I picked this mouse up for two reasons. 1.) My rechargeable wireless mouse stopped holding a charge. 2.) It matched the keyboard I had recently picked up, a Corsair K65. The color sync option is pretty darned cool, but not something that would justify the price premium by itself. Instead, what I enjoy about this mouse is the comfort and the performance. Unlike many mice, this one encourages you to spread your hand out a bit: your ring finger rests on a contoured spot on the mouse, and your thumb rests on the 12-key side pad. It took a bit of getting used to, but now all right-hand fatigue from daily use is gone. I don't do MMO gaming, but I have played around with the customization of the keypad for business purposes, especially word processing. I haven't developed a system that works for me yet, but I imagine my document-editing speed can increase dramatically if I do. I'll add that I did get this mouse on a pretty good sale. The normal price is easily justifiable for MMO gamers, but for casual users, if you can get this piece at a good price, do consider it.

Owned one for over a year and onto my second one. Construction: The mouse has a solid soft feeling plastic that does a good job of not retaining oils from your hand. This means over time your hand won't cause shiny slick parts from time of extended use. The number keys on the left hand side are mechanical but still have a slight squish to them before you feel the mechanical click. I personally would like to see the button travel reduced on these side keys. It might be a bit heavy for some people. The lights and buttons are customizable in their iCue software. Performance: Never had any issues with the mouse not tracking or clicks not going through.(outside of a physical failure) Have always felt it was accurate tracking and its feet really glides well on a mouse pad. The iCue software is a little buggy at times and the profile switching key cannot be edited when you use the stored on mouse profiles. There are 3 hardware profiles you can use. Because of this I personally only use the software profiles that do allow you to change all of the button. Long time use: I've had one personally die on me after about 1 year of use. The right click stopped working. I would suggest getting the best buy protection for it. The plastic holds up very well to use and oils.

I've had this mouse for over a month now and it still works like great. I haven't experienced anything that other have commented about. The buttons had a specific ... mushy... feeling to them despite being mechanical switches, and the other major issue with the buttons was that despite where you might slide the side button panel, the keys sat far too low in the chassis, causing my thumb to rub up against the mouse mat whenever I would attempt to use 1,4,7, or 10 buttons on the mouse. Not a huge issue, but a minor annoyance. The third problem was easily fixable - and it was the CUE software. A beautifully designed piece of software, that was just unfortunately not intuitive to use, and buggy as all get out... I am happy to say TWO of those major issues have not only been resolved entirely, but improved greatly. The new Corsair Scimitar Pro packs Corsair's own iteration of the popular PMW-3360 sensor, which they have called the PMW-3367. Lift off distance issues have been entirely resolved, as well as much better performance on a variety of surfaces. I tested the Corsair Scimitar Pro on a QCK+ Heavy, Zowie GSR, PureTrak Talent, MMX300, and a GLORIOUS XXXL, and it performed great on all the surfaces - all which have very different material. The other major issue is CUE, I am happy to say it has definitely improved in both usability, and function - while they still have kinks to work out - they are making headway into creating a great software suite. Not much else to say on that front. Some features I would add include the ability to reset surface calibration, as at present - you are not able to. The clicks, the left and right, feel springy and have good tension. Not quite Logitech G303 / G900 / G Pro clicks - but definitely up there in quality. Side panel buttons are better - not quite where I'd like them to be in terms of feedback, but definitely getting better. I can't quite tell but I feel like they've been slightly more spaced apart to be more easily "findable" on the fly. These could still benefit from being raised up slightly, as they still sit a little low for my comfort, but again - this is a minor personal opinion. The shell material itself has changed as well... less rubbery, and more plastic, but I think this was done to address durability concerns, as the rubbery coating on my old Scimitar despite only being purchased in November has already begun to wear - I forsee the Pro's coating to be much better in terms of wear and tear. The weight is a little on the high side for FPS / MOBA players, but it is certainly not excessive. with a bit of cable coming in at 118 grams for me. I prefer my mice under 100 grams, however in this case - this mouse is specifically for MMO use for me - I have other mice for FPS / General Use - so if you're an mmo player looking for a top-quality sensor mouse that can be used in FPS or other games that won't put you at any sort of disadvantage, I can highly recommend this mouse. Some odd design choices for me include the strip of brushed aluminium at the bottom of the mouse that houses the sensor - while it looks nice and gives a premium feel - the aluminium provides a jumping off point for fibers to get caught on cloth pads. I have not seen this happen with the Pro iteration yet - but it most certainly did on the old Scimitar. To be clear, there are things Corsair could still do to bring this mouse up to another level - shaving some weight and raising the buttons up a bit would improve ergonomics greatly, without much change to the design - but overall we are looking at an iterative change that brings a lot to the table. It is most certainly an evolution of the design, and brings great performance to the table at a good price. All in all - I'd say if you're in the market for an MMO mouse that can be more than that - grab a Corsair Scimitar Pro. You won't be disappointed in your purchase.

After having two Razer Nagas break on me after a few years, I went with Corsair for my next purchase. I have a number of Corsair products including PC tower, keyboard, fans, and RAM. All of which have been excellent. This mouse fits right in to that club. Although it is a bit large (especially towards the back end of it), the buttons are phenomenal and feedback has been amazing. The biggest draw with this mouse is the software UI that you have to use to program the thing. It is not user friendly, but does offer a number of customizable options for die hards. Razer has Corsair beat in this department hands down. Once you have the mouse set-up though, you’ll be good to go. I’ll say it again, however, that the build quality of this mouse (and other Corsair products) are top notch. I will not be going back to Razer, and expect this mouse to last me many years. Get this thing!!

Upgraded from a Razer Naga that went out on me. I have come accustomed to the buttons on the side of the mouse and with this model I love it even more. The side buttons are tactile and different, so you have different sensations to use to remember your button layouts and keeps you fumbling around when you have your hand incorrectly positioned on the mouse. I have to say, I am incredibly impressed by Corsairs quality, and I dont think I am ever going back to Razer products. And yes, the software isnt great for Corsair. However so far its much better than Razers RGB software, and that works for me

After such great experiences I've become a huge fan of corsair products, so I decided to switch my current MMO mouse to this one. I'm definitely not disappointed. The mouse has such a smoother feel than the mouse it was replacing. The CUE software does have a high learning curve, but once you understand it, it's amazing. You can create profiles that become active with certain executables; for example I made a World of Warcraft profile that would only become active when World of Warcraft was running. So now when I launch the game, the mouse shifts to my WoW color scheme and the side buttons become what they were set to by myself in the software, but once the game is closed the mouse returns to normal(whatever you set to normal). For FPS players you can set buttons for melee, crouch, etc. and then a dedicated button for sniping(lowers the DPI while held). The mouse feels sturdy, well build and comfortable under my hand. I really didnt want to spend $70 on a mouse....but this was well worth it. I will update this review in the coming months.

I bought this mouse when it was on sale for half off. It fits my hand better than any gaming mouse i've owned(big hands). Also after getting used to the placement of the side buttons i hardly have to use my keyboard for most games. The software takes a little exploring to figure out, but once I got the hang of it there is a ton of options to make gaming simple. Also the two buttons by the mouse wheel can be programmed, making for 17 programmable buttons altogether on this thing. I really don't have a complaint for this mouse yet.

The mouse features an adjustable dpi that maxes out at a level that is almost unreasonable so it is going to feature something for everyone. The adjustable location of the side buttons ensure availability to a wide array of hand sizes. The weight may be a bit much for top and use for FPS but that's a small price to pay for the overall quality.

I play a lot of MMO games World of Warcraft being my main one. This mouse offers a great deal of buttons and flexibility to accommodate all of the many abilities I use in game. The software is easy to use and allows multiple setups you can change with the push of a button. It also retains 3 of them even if you unplug the mouse. The DPI is amazing and also easily set on the fly. It has a multitude of color combinations available, these can also be attached to a specific app or game. My only complaint is the scroll wheel does not have a left or right click, only a push click. While this is not a huge issue, just unusual not to see those missing from a gaming mouse. The mouse fits well in my hands and also allows the physical setting of position of the 12 side buttons to accommodate hand size.
