I am a music and movie person, and I demand volume, clarity, and warmth from the speakers I choose. I bought these Corsair speakers to replace my JBL Encounter 2.1 system that I had LOVED since 2006. These have powerful bass, and I was impressed that they offered both a driver and a tweeter in each satellite enclosure. Sound quality is underwhelming, even using the on-board EQ in concert or instead of my computer's EQ. I tried tons of different settings and Googled for hours but couldn't love these speakers. Replaced them with the Logitech Z623 system - even with fewer speakers, less power, and a smaller subwoofer, this system KICKS and provides impressive warmth and clarity given that it only has a single driver in each satellite. They also cost me just over $100 compared to over $200 for these Corsairs - I am willing to pay for quality, but I will not overpay for mediocrity. I would keep walking past this Corsair system unless you need deafening volume provided by its high wattage, independent amplifiers, and huge sub.

These speakers are amazing. Aside from the packaging being pretty cool, these speakers are the highest quality I've heard (low, medium, and high frequency), plus there's no sound distortion even at the volumes I listen to music at, which is very loud. The only thing could corsair could have done was put some cool flashy lights on them, but hey, that's just my opinion. All in all, I am very happy with what I got for the price I paid.

i have had this a month and this unit has great bass all around sounds great i have owned other speaker units by far this is the best i have ever heard bass box is a little big but worth it you wont be disapointed i would refer to all my friends

These speakers were purchased to replace the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers. They have definitely pleased me for the past year I have owned them. The remote control (although wired) is great and is very easy to operate. It is very nice to have many different equalizer settings. The sub woofer also has great control. The bass is FANTASTIC at low levels, I can feel pictures on walls shaking. At high levels it seems to fail. Although it's there, it just doesn't "hit" as hard it does with low frequency. Don't get me wrong, they are fantastic for gaming and computer speakers. I do not game, but I do use them for MANY things. The volume is phenomenal, and I have used them on multiple devices and I have never, let me repeat, NEVER have heard them distort sound. My complaint: as the sound increases (at high levels) the bass does not increase with the volume. If I were to guess that is so it won't distort, but as the sound gets louder, I prefer the bass to get louder as well. But for low/mid/mid-high level sound they are GREAT.

I've had this unit for almost 18 months, and they have been great. I listen to a lot of music at both low and high volumes. I'm not a sound snob, but I like clear, crisp highs and deep, clear bass as much as the next guy. I also play saxophone professionally, and I use these to practice with. It feels like my rhythm section is in the room with me. :)

It was dead when I got it. Looks cool though. Many reports says it gets broken easily. Get the marshal portable speakers instead. those sounds nice.

I FINALLY replaced a wonderful-no longer made TDK system with Bazooka like subwoofer and flat panel speakers.. I looked at the BOSE systems instore and just didn't get a good feel.. The Cosair system is GREAT.. I will admit it did take a bit of tweaking between the EQ on Soundblaster Pro card and ITunes EQ.. but once set up it's super.. If you understand EQ and that also you have to make adjustments with louder volume.. you will NOT be disappointed! The instructions suggest you put your computer volume high and then adjust volume with the controller.. Best Buy also had the best price especially with free shipping..

These speakers are the best I have owned. In the past I had a pair of Logitech Z2300 which were great and then I bought a pair of BOSE COMPANION 5 speakers. Bose speakers were not so great because the sound and the voices were not clear at all. Also certain tracks sounded nice and others were deadly dull. I decided to give this Corsair Speakers a try and they have been by far the best. Clear sound, clear voices, bass enough. Also the reason why I bought these speakers was because of the tweeters they have, which Logitech Z2300 speakers didn't have. Another plus for these speakers is the 232 Watts RMS. I bought also a Creative Recon3D Fatal1ty sound card which improved the sound of these speakers amazingly. Overall I am very satisfied with these speakers just the thing that its not so great is the material that are made of (plastic).

So satisfied with my online purchase of the CORSAIR desktop/laptop speakers.After testing and trying out two other brands(BOSE and KLIPSCH)in the local BEST BUY store,i had just about made up my mind and was about to purchase the KLIPSCH speakers online @ BEST BUY.Then as i was scrolling online,the CORSAIR speakers caught my eye.I read reviews and they seemed legit,but it was the looks of the speakers that made me chose this product to purchase,something i normally would not do or would recommend.This gut feeling i went with worked out very well for me as BESTBUY online also had them on sale.I highly recommend these awesome sounding and looking speakers.

i have owned many high end 2.1 and 5.1 setups, this is by far the best sounding setup for your pc,laptop,mac,tv,dvd player,bluray hooks up to anything including mp3 players klipsch and logitech, bose don't compare make your choice somthing you won't regret by this.

All i can say is its awesome better than bose companion 5! ordered a second set!!!!! Great add to 27" IMAC!

You want "power"... this is the system for you!!! This has to be heard to actually believe it!

The bass was weak and the sound tiny. I found myself craning my neck to hear sounds so easily and clearly produced by less expensive speakers.
