Open back gaming is amazing. I'm able to get a huge sound stage when I want to OR lower the volume and still hear YouTube on my iPad. There is some noise through the cord when moving but I didn't find it distracting once the game was making noise

Excellent pair of open-back headphones/headset if you're looking for a good combo pair with a removable mic. The weight is good for a mix of metal and plastic. Has a solid feel and an adequate clamp force. Comfort is subjective but I found them to be fairly comfortable. What may hamper them is the ear can shape being a circle versus an oval that's more common and their shallow-ish depth. Thankfully there are third party options that offer a deeper cup to increase the comfort. Comes with cable options for audio only, headset option, and an adapter for pc connections (split audio and mic). The sound is really good with decent base, strong mids, and good highs. These make a great intro headset/headphone into open-backed audiophile territory if they are purchased on sale. If at full price i'd recommend the Sennheiser PC38X if you don't mind a non-removable mic. Also comes with very nice headphone/headset case. The only real downside I found is with the cables. Since they are rough, they do transfer noise/vibrations along the cable into the drivers when moved along another surface. May bother some, may not. Thankfully the cables can be changed with 3rd party options if it's a bother.

Admittedly, I am not an audiophile, but this is the best sounding headset I've owned. Pros: - Beautiful and clean design - Amazing build quality - Sound incredible - Comfortable for long work/gaming sessions Cons: - The braided cables do allow a bit of movement noise into the headset, but it's not something I notice regularly. Overall, if you're in the market for an open back gaming headset, this is an incredible option. I was a little concerned about going open back as I have two small children that can be quite noisy and I didnt want that distracting me from work. I feel like these fall somewhere between the isolation of closed back and the passthrough of open back, it's a really nice middleground.

These feel, look, and sound great. Love them and don’t make my ears too hot

I personally love these so much but some gamers might not prefer them because the cords come out of both sides of the ears. The mic snaps in but its not the best desingn. I love the open back and the sound is amazing. They are so comfortable and good looking.

Comfortable, great sound quality, great weight. Couldn’t complain about these! Definitely my favorite headset to date.

I find this headset very comfortable. But be aware that it clamps a little tighter to your head than others, and the ear cups are a tad on the shallow side. Neither of these things have caused me any discomfort even after hours long sessions though. The sound quality is superb here as well! I prefer a neutral sound from my headphones though. The mic seems pretty good, and I like the convenience of a headset vs. separate microphone. The build quality is top tier as well, aside from the cord brading. The brading is sort of aggressive so you will get some noise transferred through the cable when it rubs on harder surfaces. That's really the only downside for me, and maybe a third party will make a cable with a better jacket. All in all I would say it's 4.5 stars for me. Exactly the type of headset I've been looking for personally.

Build and Comfort: It's built well. Uses metal and decent plastic, feels sturdy. The cloth padding is soft. Comes with a good hard case. Comfort is fine for shorter periods, but the clamping force is noticeable after an hour or two, especially if you wear glasses. Earcups could be deeper; ears might touch the inside. Sound Performance: For gaming, the open-back design provides a very wide soundstage and excellent directional audio. Locating sounds like footsteps in competitive games is a clear strength. Mid-range sounds are clear, making dialogue easy to understand. However, the bass lacks deep impact – explosions sound weak. Treble is somewhat muted, so some high-frequency details can be lost. Sound is consistent regardless of fit. Microphone: The microphone quality is very good. Voice transmission is clear and detailed. It handles background noise reasonably well. Being attached to the cable is functional, though less convenient than an integrated mic. Downsides: Isolation: It's open-back, so noise isolation is minimal. You'll hear your surroundings clearly. Leakage: It leaks a lot of sound. Not suitable for quiet shared environments. Controls: This is poor. There's only a mute switch on the cable with no indication if it's active. There is no volume control on the headset or cable. Software: No software support for EQ or other adjustments. Value at $199: At this price, you're paying for the specific benefits of an open-back design for gaming (soundstage, imaging) and the high-quality microphone. The build quality is also a factor. However, the lack of basic features like volume control, poor isolation/leakage (inherent to the design), and potential long-term comfort issues make the value questionable for many. Conclusion: The Virtuoso Pro is a specialized headset. It excels at positional audio for gaming in quiet environments and has a great mic. If those are your absolute top priorities and you accept the significant drawbacks (no isolation, high leakage, terrible controls, no EQ), then it might fit your needs. For general use or if you need more features, the $199 price is hard to justify compared to other options offering more versatility.

Great build and audio quality!! Use it on my xbox and I have no problems at all. Wish it didn't have the y connector to both headphones but that is a small detail. Even used to listen to music off my record player and that was an amazing experience.

[Employee of bestbuy] The Corsair Virtuoso Pro Open Back delivers an exceptional audio experience with its high-fidelity sound and immersive open-back design. Comfort meets style in this premium headset, making it a commendable choice for gamers and audiophiles alike. The wireless functionality and durable build further enhance its value, making it a solid investment for those seeking top-notch audio performance.

I was super excited for this headset when it came out. I loved the original Corsair Virtuoso XT, and it was cool to be able to play pc games and listen to music or you tube at the same time with bluetooth. So then here comes this headset, open back, audiophile sound quality, very comfy ear cushions, This was a must buy. I have trouble sometimes when headsets tend to not be comfortable after wearing it for a while. This is one of the very few headsets that can actually stay comfortable for hours at a time. I love this product.

Good audio, good microphone. I have bigger ears so the larger ear muffs work nicely for me, and I’ve found the weight isn’t too much of an issue. Wouldn’t recommend if you have a smaller head.

Super comfortable for long sessions, great sound staging, a surprising amount of clean sounding bass. Cables are super nice quality, mic locks into place so it doesn't rotate/swing around. Two cables, one with mic and one without, mic quality is perfectly fine for gaming. I use them for gaming, music, movies etc Footsteps are very easy to track in games,

Very confutable for long gaming sessions. Sounds crispy and loud.

Extremely high quality headset when using connected to a microphone. The headset mic can pic up the cord scratching on your shirt when using as it is braided

Excellent sound quality and the mic is really good quality too. Perfect for working from home all day and gaming with friends at night. Cord is nice and long and overall build quality seems like it will last a while. Ear cushions are nice and breathable and not made of that "leather" that falls apart after a year.

I'm running mine with steelseries amp dac that comes withe the arctis nova pro and boy lemme tell you if the two most important things to you are imaging and openness in your 3 dimensional sound stage this is it gaming wise. The only way up from here would be magnetic planar headphones that would need some serious juice to push due to impedance and sensitivity. If you need a closed back go with Nova Pro wired for imaging and openness.

Best headphone ever, the soind is amazing, rhe the open sides keeps your ears nice and cool.

This headset still stands out with its quality even though it doesn’t have surround sound. I will say that my main plus about this product is the open back feature that makes it feel like the sides of your face can still breathe. I definitely recommend!

You get every dollar worth with this headset the sound quality is amazing i use the sonar app with this headset and its just amazing its great for anything from music to video games to just watching videos.
