Customers love the superb sound quality and comfortable fit of the VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset. Near perfect headset, even with eyeglasses

The Corsair Virtuoso RBG wireless headphones in white look absolutely fantastic and very high-end. I have shown them to my friends, and they are very jealous of the looks of these things and I must keep them locked away when they come over (kidding), but in all honesty they are really impressed with the looks. Just about every aspect of these headphones screams premium build quality and they feel very durable and comfortable on my head. I wear glasses and I really prefer a light headset for comfort, and this meets both of those top requirements for me. The headphones have just 11 different adjustment settings per side and I was easily able to find the perfect setting for my head. The amount of tension is just perfect as well and as I mentioned earlier, even with my glasses on I had no issues.
The icue software is a hefty download at just over 350 MB and the install requires 980 MB. This will allow you to customize the sound more and there are some presets that you can use as well. You can also adjust the lighting effects of the headphone. Color and different pluses and modes are what you can choose from. I was looking for a way to disable the microphone LED since I find it a bit distracting while playing games, but I was not able to find a way to do that. Fortunately, you can remove the microphone and that solves my problem, unless I want to voice chat which I rarely do. There is a feature to toggle between stereo sound and 7.1 surround sound, both of which sound good. If you don’t want to use the software you can just plug in the USB dongle into your PC, PS4, or Xbox and it will just work.
Overall, I am very impressed with these and they are a bit on the expensive side, but they are not the most expensive on the market and I find them to be a great value.
Pros:
Fit
Sound
Adjustments
Great with eyeglasses
Cons:
A little pricey
Microphone LED
Software download and install size

I haven't had it for a year and its already peeling. The previous corsair headset I had had cloth cushions so this was not a problem, but the mic stopped working so I decided to spend more money for these. Now this headset doesn't have mic problems but the cushions are peeling. I will stay away from any headset with these cushions since they just seem to peel over time.

Its alright i definitely bought it to match my setup and was looking into wireless headphones.. I had to have corsair replace the one I bought because the one I bought was defective. Everything I tried couldn't fix it the issues like robotic noises, things cutting out,not being able to work wireless or wired at points. At least corsair was nice and helped me with my issue. The new one I received is better. So its not terrible but not worth the 200. Logitech or hyper x has decent headphones that are cheaper than this.

This Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless headset looks amazing. From opening the box, how everything is so neatly encased, the brushed gunmetal look of the headset, braided wires with aluminum accents, the soft leather-like earcups and headband and the quilted looking carrying bag, just looks like luxury. They feel sturdy, even with a bit of resistance to rotating the earcups a full 180 degrees and the metal volume knob. The earcups are large in size, but not so much in depth. With the material and the pressure they add a fair bit of passive noise isolation allowing you to hear every sound without so much outside, unless you have the microphone and sidetone turned up. You can use these wirelessly with the included dongle or wired USB with PC and PS4 or you can use it wired with the included 3.5mm cable on pretty much anything else.
Sound quality wise these can hit the full range of sound with good clarity. However, I found it a little lacking on deep bass as I could hear it, just not feel it like some other headsets. The biggest issue I have though is the sound quality while wireless. No matter how close I was to the wireless dongle I could hear the compression difference in audio. It was really obvious when listening to something that played the full range of highs and lows and it sounded like part of the sound was being dropped out. Something I would expect if I was hitting the 60 ft range, not 1-8ft in direct line of site. I tried it on different computers and the PS4 and it is obviously the wireless connection just has too much compression to keep quality sound.
The other issue I have is that none of the advanced features work unless you have the iCue application installed and running. Like the EQ settings, the 7.1 surround or the RGB lighting settings, nothing other than the microphone settings are saved to the headset. As soon as the application is closed everything about the headset returns to default. This means that you can’t take the headset to another PC and keep your customization unless the iCue application is installed on that PC and not on the PS4. The EQ settings aren’t all that great either as the changes, even at the extreme ends, don’t sound all that effective. As for the 7.1 surround settings, it appears to be using something like Dolby Pro-Logic virtualization without using the Dolby name. This however leads to some sounds not being properly represented such as a sound only in one ear can now slightly be heard in the other ear. I found using Dolby Atmos for headphones on my Windows PC still worked nicely.
As for battery life they claim up to 20 hours and with the auto power off after 10 minutes by default, configured in iCue, I was able to have several play sessions over 3 days before needing a recharge. However, if in a pinch you can always revert back to wired mode just without enhancements on 3.5mm. The odd thing is, there is no isolation between 3.5mm wired and wireless mode, so you can have an interesting mix of two inputs.
Overall, the headset is nice and fairly comfortable with decent sound quality while wired, but the main feature of wireless falls short and all the other customizations only work with the app running.

Pros:
1. The feel is solid. These guys are built like a tank and are very flexible. I’d be shocked if someone broke them from normal use. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone ended up using these as a murder weapon. I’d rate this a 10/10.
2. Machined aluminum construction is gorgeous. Perfect for checking your reflection. Gotta look extra thicc for the ladies out there.
3. Microphone sounds good. It is removable and has a push to mute which feels wonderful to press. Having the microphone capsule light change to let you know if you are muted or not is a nice touch. Cable for the microphone is also highly flexible allowing you to move it to the correct position on your face easily.
4. Volume knob and the wireless/wired switch has a premium weighty feel. Some may say a bit too heavy. I’d rate a 10/10. These are the best I’ve ever felt.
5. I adore that there is a voice telling me what the headset is doing because then I can pretend my headset is my girlfriend. But I do wish it would tell me more such as wired/wireless mode, low battery, on and off, and if connected. Instead of doing that through beeps. As the groundwork seems to already be there. When she is talking it also doesn’t overbear whatever you are listening too so the balance there is perfect.
6. All wires that come with this are premium. They feel and look great. Which is rare. Usually they are on the cheaper side and make you buy externally if you want an upgraded version.
7. The ability to use this as wireless, wired using USB A to USB C, USB C to USB C, 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm and that it comes with a four pole which means microphone will work on mobile devices and Xbox.
8. The sound is great. I can hear the nuances of the game and the directional sound is precise. I can also pick up footsteps easily. When a lot of things are happening at the same time, I am able to hear all of them and where they are located. This makes them spectacular for competitive gaming. However, gunshots are not as full and crisp as I would like. The overall sound isn’t fully accurate but close. They don’t beat the Sennheiser Game One in this category but are still better than most other headsets. I used the flat preset for testing purposes.
9. Almost full adjustable EQ so you can better adjust the sound to what you prefer.
10. RGB looks good. They are able to show any color which sometimes they struggle with. Such as certain blues, purples, and orange.
11. This is a strange one. The smell is awesome. Like new shoes.
12. Ability to turn earphones posteriorly and anteriorly is great. Makes it more flexible to get better fit and reduces the chance of it breaking.
13. ICUE software requires a minor learning curve but does almost everything you want it too.
14. Allegedly each driver pair is meticulously hand selected and matched within +/-1 db of tolerance.
15. Side tone is great. Makes it sound like I don’t have a headset on and am talking. However, it does pick up your keyboard and any other sound in your environment so if you live in a noisy spot it could detract from the overall sound quality. But also, allows you to be aware of what your teammates may be hearing.
Cons:
1. Microphone capsule light can be distracting as it is always in your peripheral vision.
2. Heavy.
3. Would have appreciated if it also came with a USB C to USB C cable.
4. Would have liked the voice inside the headset to tell me more information.
5. Comfort I struggle with. The first day the clamping force was a bit too much. After just three hours of use I developed a headache on the top of my head and around my ears. This is a first for me. From then on, I got the pain on the top of my head but they were very comfortable around my ears. I think the biggest difference here was glasses versus no glasses. This was my biggest disappointment. But they are loosening up over time which is a good thing.
6. No sound difference between 16-bit 48,000 hz and 24-bit 96,000 hz as this is purely marketing. Backed by science. I do appreciate the increased range of 20 hz – 40,000 hz though.
7. 24-bit 96,000 hz is only available via USB. Whereas, wireless and 3.5 mm is 16-bit 48,000 hz.
8. Battery percentage doesn’t show in app. They claim 20 hours. Likely with the lights off. I got about 8 with the lights on at 30% volume.
9. The wired connection for USB C comes out behind you which is not the norm. This could be intentional but makes it hard if you want the cord in-front of you instead of behind you.

Honestly i had very high hopes for this headset. The first one I purchased I had to return it about 1 week after because it was making a crackling noise since I got them. So I finally really got to test the quality of this headset. The sound isn't any better then the void pros, no matter what specs say. They every once in awhile make a slight crackling noise for a few moments then goes away. Also don't get me started on the battery life, these don't last NEAR as long as what they are speced out for. I have to charge them multiple times a day after I let them run completely out of battery. I really wish Corsair would help me out a bit with my headset but I can guarantee they won't, which is no big deal ill just have to find a new brand. Overall I wouldn't recommend them but this is just my overall experience with this headset.

I have to say, extraordinary! Sound is so much a part of what we sense. Feel every dimension above , below, in front and behind you.
My experience:
* soft ear cups cover my ears in comfort (memory foam center)
* true DOLBY 7.1 experience, audio comes to life
* sound moves around enhancing the visual experience
The transmitter allows freedom from the usual corded headset. Long battery life means more time enjoying the gaming experience, always ready. Great for planes, offices, anywhere you need privacy. The magnetic connector on the removable microphone is easy to use. Great sound reproduction for clear speech communication either while gaming or for video phoning. Why loose out on clarity because of a cheap mic. Not here. Green and Red lit mic so you know its on or off
3.5 MM input jacks for true compatibility for all your audio players and game consoles.
Switch on the ear cup to select transmitter connection versus wired USB.
I'm very impressed with the black padded case with interior pocket for holding cables, transmitter etc.,. Makes transporting your new headset safe and easy. Quality metal components, lightweight and strong .
Load the free iCUE app for xtra special features.

I always thought Corsair was know for their memory modules. Looks like they did well with these headphones.
These headphones can either work as hardwired or wireless. It comes with a USB dongle for wireless connection and and wires for wired connection.
Microphone is detachable so that was a cool option. The ears and mic light up when in use.
It fits nice over the ears and is comfortable during game play and use. Wireless rang is pretty good. I was able to walk to the kitchen while I was playing to run and grab a drink and it did not drop my connection.
I used these headphones on PC windows 10 based games. It connected and recognized the headphones right away. Controls where easy to use. Battery life is great. Color is nice.
I also tried them using chat apps and they worked well too.
I would recommend these headphones. Nicely done.

I have been using wireless Void Pro RGBs for 3 or 4 years now and decided to upgrade since the mic doesn't stay up anymore and is just on my last nerve. I will preface by saying I did return these, but may still come back to them. After trying out several different brands and models. HyperX, Steelseries, Corsair, and Turtle Beach, I have discovered that purchasing an audio enhancer is a must. All the models I have tried so far, excluding the HyperX Cloud Orbit S model, were noticeably improved by using the HyperX Revolver S dongle in conjunction with either Dolby Atmos or DTS Headphone X. This conjunction adds much more body to the bass. I'm my humble opinion the iCue software severely handicapped the headset, so I just deleted it and all was fine. It made the bass sound very fake and flat to me. So if you get these, use an audio enhancer and the detail and soundscape you hear is awesome! Sounds very natural.
Aside from the bass issues, the only other thing that falls short with the Virtuosos is the depth of padding in the headband and cups. I love the shape of the cups. They were ultra soft and had good isolation, but after about an hour of wearing them the top of my head was sore from the lack of padding and I constantly felt my ears rubbing against the pads on the inside of the cups.
Aside from needing thicker ear and head padding, these headphones have great sound with a little help and look amazing. The wireless feature works perfectly with or without iCue software and the ability to go from wired to wireless at the flip of a switch is a godsend.
Corsair, if you are listening, fix the comfort issue and I will definitely reconsider these.

This headset is very comfortable, the mic and audio on calls sounds perfect. I do wish there was more bass to it out of box, but it stops sounds great with music and games. The volume nob can be touchy, which is annnoying when you accidentally bump it and it goes from 35 volume to 100. The battery life is the best part. Overall, they're good.

These headphones have an amazing sound to them. What I noticed is that I was able to hear so many little background noises while using them and that was so cool. Whether in music, or gaming, the most subtle sounds can be heard when you know in the past you didn't hear those same sounds.
They come with the USB transmitter to use them as wireless (They are not bluetooth, you need the USB transmitter to make them wireless), along with a nice boom microphone for talking (which the light is green if talking, when you tap the mute button, the light at the end turns red). A 3.5mm to 3.5mm patch cable is included so you can plug directly into a headphone jack of an iPod or phone that has this jack to play music through these.
Battery life is good, although I haven't been on line long enough to run them all the way yet to know exactly how long the battery will last. But whether playing music, games, etc. these are a winner! The lights on the outside of the ear pieces are the icing on the cake. And this does come with a micro USB charging cable (transformer not included) for easy charging even while you are listening.
The software they have is only WIN compatible, not MAC. I found a MAC beta version, but it isn't compatible with these headphones. When I downloaded the WIN version, I was able to control aspects of these like an equalizer. I don't think they need it, but you can do it none-the-less. The built in volume dial is handy to adjust the volume from the headset.

Best Wireless headset after i tweaked it!

Once I saw this headset come out, I knew i had to get it. I had to do a little research before getting it. I browsed Reddit, YouTube, and forum to see which one is worth getting, The SE or non basic version. The basic version has a better mic after seeing the reviews on YouTube and listening to it. But it is all plastic and has a glossy back which is a finger magnet. The SE has a bag that i use every time I'm done using and a bigger mic. it doesn't sound as good as the corsair hs35. But it is built as a tank. No signs of plastic anywhere. The metal look looks and feels amazing. The fact the cups turns to the side either way got my attention. The unboxing was beautiful and wow it looked better than the non SE. I plugged it into my PC and wow it didn't sound better than I thought. However, no headset does without drivers and a few tweaks. After I updated the drivers, it was a lot louder but the mids was a little compressed. So I made my own EQ preset in the Icue software and BOOM. My $200 Gamerheadset sounds like a $2000 studio headset... lol jk but it was literally perfect. I will post a picture of my preset for you guys to try it out. But I am proud of this headset. The mic can be tweaked by going into mic settings and downloading mic software but I dont even use it as much because I have a USB mic. I bring this outside and listen to music on the go. I really wished it had Bluetooth like the Steelseries or even turtle beaches stealth 600-700 but oh well. The only downside is you cant turn off the RGB, However, you can just turn down the brightness to 0 and its completely off. The battery lasted me two full days of 8 hours gaming and charged pretty quick. I really wish you guys can try it out for yourself. If you don't want to spend the extra 20-40 for the SE, then the non SE is fine too. Better mic so there is no con there. I don't have any regret buying this beauty.

Extremely light weight, you barely notice you have them on after a short period. The ear cups are not too tight and feel quite comfortable over your ears with or without glasses on.
The sound is really quite good, even in wireless mode. You have the option of wired (USB or Stereo cable) or wireless using the USB dongle that comes with it. The recharging is over USB Type C connecting to headphones and USB A on the PC side. There is a toggle to switch between wired and wireless connection on the headphones. You can charge while using them. They will work with only the audio cable even if no power.
Headphone controls are simple and straight forward with a roller for the volume.
Bass is at a good level with decent mids and highs. The presets on the equalizer are Pure Direct, Movie Theater, FPS Competition, Clear Chat and Bass Boost. You have stereo and surround 7.1 options. I have a couple screen shots uploaded to see the ICUE app and the options in it. The app allows you to also customize the color of the RGB and the variations like rainbow, pulse, etc. similar to the Corsair mouse and keyboards.
The mic does a respectable job, no better nor worse than any other headset.
Overall, these are a really great set of headphones with good sound and are extremely comfortable.

I have owned a virtuoso for about half a year now. I did a lot of research before picking up this model. It is a snug(potentially tight) fit, but I prefer that since typically gaming headsets are usually too large (example: Corsair void is too big for me; I have to adjust it all the way in and even then the earcups feel like they're almost sagging below my ears). The headset feels high in quality and well built and I like the overall look, even if it may feel a bit bulky; I personally like that. The mic is also removeable, and you can use the headset wirelessly, plugged in via usb, or via regular audio cable.
Pros - Battery life lasts for a long time. I can go several days of heavy PC use before needing to charge. I actually haven't gotten the low battery notification, I just remember to plug it in for an hour or so every few days.
There is a 2 year warranty from corsair if you buy brand new. If there are any issues, they will typically replace your headset for free.
Adjustable RGB lights on the earcups that you can customize through the icue software, if you're into that sort of thing. uwu
I like the audio fidelity of this headset. They're not the BEST of the best and out of the box they didn't sound quite how I would've preferred, but you can adjust it pretty well with the Equalizer in the Icue software. If you search the web, there are settings posted out there by people for the "best experience".
Cons - The mic pics up everything. Unlike the Corsair Void, which I think has some kind of filter built in, it is hard to keep outside voices from being picks up by the Virtuoso SE model. I hear the mic on the regular virtuoso may be better, but I haven't been able to compare. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but for me it is because my partner shares the computer space, and I can't block him out if I want to! xD
