One Of Better Seasons

Compared to some of the other seasons this one has fewer throwaway episodes.
My favorites:
Happy Anniversary - The lip-synching scene is an all-time TV classic! Little Rudy endeared herself to all of America when she stole the scene with her impassioned singing! Almost as good a scene-stealer was Theo; who showcased a smooth delivery in this scene that belied his years. I almost wondered if Theo could sing for real!
Cliff In Love - Sondra was absolutely pitiful pining over Elvin. Cliff portrayed what every father goes through when his daughter is lovelorn.
Halloween - Vanessa's In Love - Vanessa is aboslutely sweet in this episode of puppy-love.
A Touch Of Wonder - One of the better episodes where a star makes a cameo appearnce as himself; though there are moments when the whole star-struck family acts a bit ridiculous and beneath themselves!
Vanessa's Bad Grade - More puppy love for Vanessa but that fight scene she has with Denise should rank as an all-time TV classic! A very honest portrayal of sibling conflict. A very stern and realistic portrayal of Claire and a hilarious though slightly bufoonish portray of Cliff in that scene!
Full House - Poor Cliff can't get a moment's peace! The living room scene with Cliff, Denise & her reggae-shouting boyfriend is a hoot!
Theo's Holiday - Theo learns some life lessons. This episode served as a template for others later in the series where the Huxtable parents are creative in their parenting. Their enlistment of everybody, including Theo's buddy Cockroach is a hoot!
The Card Game - Roscoe Lee Brown was excellent as Cliff's card partner! This is one of the better Cliff/Russell father-son relationship episodes! Too bad Cliff opted to play it safe and portray them playing "pinochole" rather than "Bid Whist" or "Spades" which are commonly played card games among African Americans ... complete with the obligatory robust and loud trash-talking ... which was hinted at but not quite realistically and authentically executed. Had there been more trash-talking that would made the episode even more enjoyable.

Outstanding Family Show

Great DVD to add to your families collection of must-have-comedies. The real-life situations shown are still valid today and the Cosby show gives you non-stop laughter whether you are 8 y/o or 88 y/o. Cliff & Claire Huxtable are parents that show unconditional love to their children, but they are not above making fun of their children if it'll teach them a healthy lesson. Such as the episode where they try to explain to their only son, Theo, that life in the real-world could be difficult when you have to choose between renting an apartment, buying furniture, or eating food; during the 24-hour period that they turn their home into an apartment tenement and rent Theo back his unfurnished bedroom for $1800.

I love it! If you grew up with "The Cosby Show" then you should get this. If you love when Rudy sings her heart out "BABY! NIGHT AND DAY!" then you should get this. If you love comedy then you should get this. If you like or prefer family shows, you should get this. My point: GET IT NOW! : )
