Since it is out of warranty, i will take it apart to verify. The lid didn't break like the competition seems to do. Never leaked, but the plastic edge did come off after a year of heavy use.

The blue led is kind of fruity but that is minor. I only fill to the lowest line for one glass and it is done fast. Warranty registration is a little tedious. The QR code takes you where you need to go but QR could also enter the model and batch number for you. Thats not a product flaw but more so a customer service flaw.

It still has that new item smell. Smiley (that plastic smell =] you know what I’m talking about). I like it, but then, I will have to wait a while to really know if it is something that will last for a long time. On the face value, it was a great purchase.

I like that it's glass so that I can see how much water is inside, and I'm hoping the glass prevents funky smells compared to a metal kettle. I've used it a couple times and it works perfectly. It's a large 12-cup kettle, but I'll probably never fill it up completely.
