This is widely considered one of the best anime series ever made, and rightly so! Cowboy Bebop is a strong contender for the title of 'coolest anime ever made'. The series follows Spike Spigel and his crew of bounty hunters, Jet, Faye, Ed and Ein the dog, as they wander about the solar system. Most of the series is pretty episodic, there is a story arc in the last two or three episodes, but most episodes are pretty self-contained. Some episodes are packed with action, other episodes are more comedic, others are deadly serious. All are consistently outstanding. Brilliantly written and superbly animated. There's lots of chase scenes and some great martial arts duels in the action episodes, even some nice space combat. The comic episodes are all hilarious, one has a great parody of 2001: A Space Oddessy and the dramatic episodes will keep you glued to your seat. This is truly one of the best anime series you will ever see, and no anime collection can be complete without it. If you are curious about anime, this is a great series to start with. It's also the perfect anime to show your friends who aren't familiar with anime. There is no downside to the original production, the only fault lies with the English dub. The English voice actors do a passable job in thier respective roles, but none are of the same calibur as the Original Japanese cast. Koichi Yamadera is perfect as Spike and Megumi Hayashibara is extraordinary as Faye. Watch it in Japanese with the subtitles, it's not at all hard to watch the subtitled version (trust me on this) and you will be treated to the Original performances, rather than a performance tailored to lip-synching. For anime at it's best, look no further than Cowboy Bebop. See you later, Space Cowboy.

Ok, So a year ago my girl friend told me about this show, She said some stuff and She was very excited about it and I kinda just ignored her. But then it comes to her birthday and I was unsure of what she wanted, Then I saw this. I thought it was a good deal for a complete collection even though i had No idea what it was about. So i got it for her and we pop it in. Ever since then i was inlove with this show. I couldnt wait to watch it and when it ended I was saddend but then She told me about the movie and I was happy again. I normally dont watch any anime, but this has to be one of my favorite shows of all time, If you like sci-fi this is a good show for you.

In 2022, the explosion of an experimental warp gateway caused major damage to the Moon, bathed the Earth with radiation, and left an asteroid ring that threatens the surface with daily meteorite bombardments. As a result, many survivors abandoned the barely-habitable Earth to colonize the inner planets, the asteroid belt and the moons of Jupiter. The series opens in 2071, decades after the accident, when the entire Solar System has been made accessible via reliable warp gates. The crew of the Bebop spends much of its time on Mars, the new central hub of human civilization. The government is corrupt, using soldiers as test subjects for biological weapons during a war on Titan. Interplanetary crime syndicates exert influence over the government and the Inter-Solar System Police (ISSP), limiting their effectiveness in dealing with crime. As a result, a bounty system similar to that in the Old West is established to deal with fugitives, terrorists and other criminals.

When I ordered Ronin Warriors the seller sent this to me by mistake. I was sure glad they did. I got to keep it free so I watched it and became an instant fan. The only gripe with the series is that it ended. The story is set in a future where bounty hunting is a way of life. The series introduces and removes characters at the right time and most episodes contains hints to the overall arc. Drama and comedy fill each episode that leads to a climatic ending. Of all the animes series I've seen this one ranks as a must own/must see. If you enjoy animes with good dramatic storytelling with comic relief then this one's for you. The end really ties the whole series up appropriately. One to remember.

Finally, a box set of one of the greatest anime that won't break your wallet. Cowboy Bebop contains all the necessary elements of an outstanding anime from music score to detailed animation to story. Also the Anime Legends box set is compiled of every episode in the newer digitialy remastered remix edition. This is a must buy for any anime fan. Also if you like the series you should pick up the movie.

this is a favorite among almost any anime lover. So for you beginners out their this is a great pick up to start out with and won't make you cry about the price. my only reason for not being too happy about this is that all these series are being taken off the shelves for collection pieces. all those not so famous series are dead and gone because they can't find anyone willing to spend 15 dollars a disc and so we're left with the popular stuff. but that's my own beef.... pick it up and enjoy and realize these aren't just toons. they're amazing.

Not a big Anime fan here. Columbia House sent me a bunch of dvd's I didn't order and Cowboy Bebop the movie was one of them. Since they were free I watched it out of boredom and it was awesome, the next day i ordered this remix set and was not disappointed at all

The only anime of its kind I promise. Filled with great action scenes, comedy, and romance, it needs to be on your top anime list. From the opening theme song you know this anime is diffrent and for some reason it just catches your attention. Also the extras are great with interviews of the cast. Also dont forget the movie if you enjoy the series.

if you like anime or even if you don't this series gets top marks. if it had come out in the states and been made by an american company, it would probably be a cultural phenom. I can't think of anything bad to say the movie kicks too, and most of the characters are among my favorites of all time especially Spike.

Cowboy Bebop is for sure the best anime ever made. It has been called the number one anime in the world. In fact, Cowboy bebop is so great that it deserves to have a genre named after it. If anyone calls themselves an anime expert and hasn't seen Cowboy Bebop, then they seriously aren't an anime expert.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the most dangerous pirate-bounty love epics I've ever seen. The story line keeps you intwinned throghout the whole series with flash backs and clues, trying to figure out what will happen next will get you nowhere. A true action love story with a mix of jazz.

I first watched this series eight years ago, and it had been four long years since the last time I watched it all the way through, and it is as good as ever, truely the best Japanesse series ever.

The best anime ever released. Even if one has never had a faint interest in anime before, one should strongly consider this release. Worth every penny, and the production value is on par with Hollywood's best - even with it being an animated television show.
