"Cowboys and Aliens" was an intriguing film. The movie starts off great with the mysterious stranger who doesn't know who he is. The events that unfold with a mysterious attack in broad daylight to the town being attacked by the aliens for an unknown reason. This film has a great cast and is definitely worth checking out.

I do like the movie. It is not as good as I thought it would be, but I've watched it twice now. With some distance from the last viewing, I seem to like it a bit more. I think a part of my issue is that with a title such as "Cowboys and Aliens", I thought that this movie would be a bit more fun and not as drama filled. Thought there isn't so much drama as Fords other movies, one does come to mind that mixed drama and humor well, "The Hunt For Red October".

for the price, this was an ok buy, BUT, 1st of all, the digital code for the UV (vudu) version was expired- I reached out to Universal Pictures and, while they could not give me this movie digitally anymore, they did offer me a choice of a few other movies that I could redeem. 2nd, the movie is not all that great, but, again, for the price, I guess it was not a bad buy

First, I would have rated this movie 4 1/2 stars- not quite excellent, but better than good (the rating system doesn't allow for 1/2 stars).The stars (Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde) and the production make what could have been a silly idea (Cowboys and Aliens) a great action movie. The cinematography is stunning, and the pace doesn't drag. This movie is recommended for any and all sci-fi and action fans.

The story is on the wide side, but it's an entertaining movie. Just don't over think things!

Keep in mind that my review is based on the extended edition and not the theatrical one. Movie was a fun romp and an excellent take on the "Cowboys and Indians" type of flick. The extended edition had more to offer in the story which helped out in fleshing out key characters, but I wish it was a bit longer to help further out the supporting cast. All in all, it's a fun popcorn movie!

This was an entertaining film which I picked up for the right price.

This film is unusual in the sense that it has cowboys fighting aliens. Featuring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, the scenes change quickly. Almost immediately everyone learns the aliens are not friendly. If you enjoyed this film at the theater, you can add it to your library for a very low price.

This will become a cult classic. Great headliner stars and somewhat plausible story-line set in the late 1800's and well acted. You have "James Bond" and "Indiana Jones" vs. Aliens in the US old west; why not? At least on par with all the other alien visitation movies, except PAUL which is in a comedic class all its own. This is good entertainment; as I like to say, "chewing gum for the eyeballs." Bought the DVD, so I can watch on TV and on the road, when work gets you down.

I was completely surprised when I found myself enjoying this wild west romp with aliens. The film has well choreographed action sequences, some excellent acting from the cast and taunt directions as well. I don't know many action adventure lovers who would not enjoy seeing this film. Live a little and give it a shot.

I was really hesitant on purchasing this movie, as I hadn't heard much about it and it seemed a little corny - so I was skeptical, but it was cheap so I went ahead and got it. The story was actually pretty good and filled with scenes that held my attention throughout the entire ordeal. A surprisingly good one...

Presentation/Availability: Product was well packaged with no broken/opened box. There were many available at the store. Performance: Good movie for the family. Customer service: EXCELLENT customer service. I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked through the door.

Love genre mashups. This one sadly doesn't cut it.

Enjoyed the special effects, yes, ok, you could tell that they were CGI, however they were done very well and blended nicely with the sound effects on my surround system. I purchased this movie with mixed reviews from various people, but overall I am very happy and enjoyed it. It was better than expected.

The title is silly, but it is a good movie. There are good actors in the movie that play believable parts. The plot is good, but it could have had a bit more humor. Nonetheless, I found it to be fun. I would recommend it. Get the blu ray, dvd and UV digital copy. Very good deal for what I paid.

I have always loved sci fi and westerns so this was at the top of my list to see. It was great. What a ride. This movie is well thought out and cast with A+actors. Excellent. Added this one too our collection. You won't be disappointed. I would suggest the unrated version. It's a little more graffic but the cg in this is A+also. Have fun with this one! B. Beckner

Sci-fi and westerns converge in the fast-paced action film. Good cast led by Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford with impressive special effects to boot. Not great cinema, but good fun if you like high action sci-fi / fantasy flicks. Grab the popcorn and enjoy !!

Funny movie. Good acting especially from Harrison Ford (actor of Star Wars) and Daniel Craig (actor in James Bond 007 movies)! Enjoyable setting. I liked the terrain and the plants they used. At first, I was surprised by the ending, but it all made sense .
