Probably an acquired taste; but if you are a fan you will enjoy. Give it a listen if you are unfamiliar, too, because the writing is superb.

The album is great and the CD was on a great sale. However, despite advertising the new release deal, I went inside two Best Buy stores that did not have it out on the floor. It'd be nice if stores placed greater importance on product placement. Having floor associates combing through boxes in the back while I'm waiting up front isn't an effective way of doing business or of showing respect to your products.

This is a far cry from the first FF album but it's nice that there's something different going on. The return to school for Pecknold shows in some of the lyrics and the sprawling songs that, at times, seem as if they're complicated just to be complicated. There are moments of real beauty on here in pretty much every song. Give it at least one listen.

Crack-Up is Fleet Foxes' triumphant return to music after a six year hiatus. The album is huge, not only in soundscape but in intensity, swelling and ebbing as the album progresses, taking you on an immersive journey through Fleet Foxes' unique sound of upbeat folk, a touch of rock and just starting to lean into the ambient.

On Crack-Up, their third full length record, Fleet Foxes again show their skill for making lush music. Crack-Up's songs have the beautiful harmonies and Robin Pecknold's sense of yearning that have characterized Fleet Foxes' work. But Crack-Up lacks the perfectly crafted songs like Helplessness Blues or White Winter Hymnal that focused the band's sometimes sprawling sound on the first two records. Third of May, Crack-Up's first single, is ok(before it loses its focus and segues into Odaighara) but it's not transcendent like the band's best songs. The second single Fool's Errand is better, with its sweet sound and melancholy lyric about realizing "blind love couldn't win." It's a standout on a good but not great record.

If you are an FF fan you will find this to be much different from their previous releases. It has a whole different feel but is still an outstanding bit of music to your ears.

The latest album by the Fleet Foxes has been worth the wait. This is a very dense and layered album that will take more than one listen to fully appreciate. ..but it's worth the extra effort.

I've been a fan of Fleet Foxes for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised with what they did on their latest record. Great flow of melodies and various instrumentation!

Took me awhile to get around to this album. Wasn't sure about it at first but after really listening it's actually really good. Definitely one of their best!

If you are a fan I strongly recommend this album. It was long awaited and worth the wait.

Fleet Foxes have not made a new CD since 2012. This one makes up for lost time. A lot of great harmonizing with the vocals.

Been waiting a few years for the return of Fleet Foxes and they did not disappoint with their latest effort!

This was my first Fleet Foxes album and after listening I plan to get their complete catalog

once again these guys deliverlush atmosphere and lush harmonies

Fleet Foxes add some complex song structures to their gorgeous harmonies.
