    Crackdown 2

Crackdown 2 plays out in a near-future.The streets are overrun with super-powered,violent,mutant criminals. You must also prevent the overthrow of the peacekeeping Agency by the terrorist organization known as the Cell.Crackdown 2 doesn't really seem to bring anything new to the table. It seems like you're playing the first game all over again, even the graphics look like their from the first game, talk about deja vu.The game also has a hard time locking on to main targets even when their standing right next to you,and the camera could also use some work.Orb collecting is back, some you have to jump on rooftops and ledges to get, others you have to chase around for a while, but it helps your Agent's abilities throughout the game giving him the ability to jump higher, and run faster. If you haven't play the first game and are willing to overlook some of it's flaws don't pass this one up.Crackdown 2 is still a good time.

Great Game, Short Story, Challenging Difficulties

I bought this game on the day of launch, is a great game. The downside is that the story I would call it is very short and doesn't have a real ending to the game. Some would say that completing the game you have to collect all of the orbs in Pacific City. In all there is over 800 orbs in the city this is why it would take so long to get 100% completion. The length of the game is truly up to the consumer, but I would say the average person will beat the game in about 15 hours of game play and 50+ if they collect all of the orbs across the city. Not in many games the main character is the good guy or the cops so it is nice to see a change. The graphics are good but there is just the every once and a while problem that is easily solves. The graphics are more like a cartoon more than a game. The closest thing to this game graphics that I can compare it with is Borderland. The difficulties are the hardest I have seen in a long time. Many people will say that the game is easy. That is because they have the character at the highest level playing at the lowest difficulty. From experience the hardest difficulty "Sadistic" is even hard for the most veteran Crackdown players to survive on. The best part though is if you have Xbox Live you can play with up to 4 other people in campaign and 16 in a verses modeOverall I would have to say that this game is a good buy for anyone looking to have a good time in a carefree game.

Outstanding followup to a outstanding game!

I was a huge fan of the original Crackdown. Can't even tell you how many hours I spent running around the city fighting bad guys and collecting orbs. This sequel is no different. The story is amazing. There's new weapons and vehicles and gadgets. New enemy's. All this makes for a game just as amazing as the original.

    Very Repetitive Game Play

I really enjoyed the first Crackdown game and was excited to buy the sequel. However, the game play in Crackdown 2 is very repetitive and I soon lost interest. It seemed like I was doing the same thing over and over again, just in different parts of the city. The only thing that changed was the difficulty level which steadily increased. The first Crackdown did a good job of explaining each gangs back story and history and it motivated me to clean up each neighborhood. I was excited when I finally reached each gangs war lord. In Crackdown 2 however, I found myself fighting the same gang over and over with no real motivation as to why. The game soon became very tedious and repetitive. The introduction of zombies didn't make much sense to me either.

Great follow up to the original

This is based on the demo. The game play is very similar to the first Crackdown. Aiming system is similar, being able to target specific body parts after lock-on. The base powers/skills are all sitll present Athletic (Speed/jump), weapons, melee/strength, driving, etc. Some new items that add to the mix very well are new upgrade orbs that move. You have to chase them down to get the extra bonus they give, and they seem to make you use the skill you are trying to gain (ex. Athletic ones move fast and up to higher surfaces making you climb/jump). The new respawn feature lets you do the usual select your weapons loadout, but now you can also have a chopper drop a car in the same location you respawn at. The missions also have more narration, telling you what you need to do and why. The enemies are plenty, still get hit squads after you if you trouble an enemy faction too much. They also added night time vs. day time elements. During the daytime/nighttime the factions activities change dynamically. They may stay more in their bases at a certain time or they may take to the streets leaving their bases with minimal opposition to take it over. Overall seems like they left all the good stuff from part 1 and added new stuff while adding upgraded goodies to the others. After playing the demo, If you played the first one you'll like this one also. I give graphics only a good rating because they are not top of the line. The graphics are good, but the focus is the game play for this title.

    Crackdown Reborn

I loved Crackdown and when I got Crackdown 2 I started playing it without checking out the backstory as I was confused at first; wondering how Pacific City looked like a war zone and then as I went through the game it tells you how it happened And the game also tells you who the real enemy is...I won't reveal it but I LOVE the boosters at level six Agility... I've even tried the option where I can join in on another Agent's game and help them out; It's really good helps get objectives done a lot faster than just solo. But I REALLY want to try that Mass Driver but I need to get the Toy box to use it and the full version not the trial version either

My only complaint with Crackdown 2 is the lack of multiple gangs to kill as in the first 1. But the story seems like a natural progression from the first game, although the way the story is set up you can play it without playing game # 1.

At first it was mildly entertaining but as I kept playing I realized all you do is the same exact thing but just in different parts of the city. It is the most boring, repetitive game I have ever played. Also there is absolutely no storyline whatsoever. Not very challenging either, you lock on to anyone you want to shoot.

I dont know why people give this game 5 stars. I played the demo because of all the hype, and after 3 mins of terrible graphics, poor gameplay and stupid storyline, i quit. Maybe multiplayer is better, i cannot opinionate on that. I can tell you that if you want to save some money, dont buy this game. Wait a week for it to drop half price and than i still wouldn't. I thought i was playing a very early original xbox game or even a later sega game due to the graphics. Hope this helps, go get COD

This game is horrible, Microsoft did not give this developer ANY time to fully make a proper game. This game is worth $15 at best.
