Good game, but a little repetitive

I think the game was good, but very repetitive. The bosses are not that difficult, but the graphics are great.
It is short. The voices are very good.
You have like 6 or 7 bosses and 3 gangs, you have to kill every boss and gain experience. The weapons are good, but only a few of them are really useful.

Something to do, almost

The graphics suited the game and the controls were as straight forward as any game like this. I didn't feel like the game had much of a story line and it seems like you're just thrown in and on your own. It just didn't catch me like GTA, Saint's Row, or any of the other popular shooters did. I gave it a few chances but never bothered to finish it.

Sandbox's are fun

If you like Sandbox games this is a game for you. If you don't, well, you should not buy it. Crackdown was built on the Halo engine (Havok). There are some similarities, but mostly only the life/shield bar. Overall you are a clone that gets better as you do things. To explain this... basically if you use guns your guns skill gets better, as you drive cars your cars skill gets better and so on. You are fighting crime and trying to eradicate the cities of their gangs. There are a lot of other things to do as well like rooftop races and car races. You can play co-op with a friend online through x-box live. The city is huge and you can go up the buildings as well which makes it even bigger.
Achievements are a good range from very difficult to average. I would say there is not much in the way of "easy" achievements.

Could have been better.

For a sandbox game, the landscape is awesome. Everything else seemed to lack. The same melee attack over and over, round house after roundhouse. The shiny blue, green, yellow spheres that explode and give you experience reminded me of a bad light show. Everything else about the game was fairly solid. Lack of any major story was kind of disappointing... and the online play was okay for the most part. This could have been so much better.

I got to give props to this game. If you like GTA series you will love this. This is the best game out for the 360 for its type by far. It beats Saints Row hands down. The graphics and multiplayer abilities totally rock. Even if you don't like the GTA series i highly recommend you give this one a try. There is so much to explore and do on this game. i just can't put it down.

This is a must have for the 360. The campain is long but sometimes challenging. The guns are unreal and the enemys are an easy kill almost all the time. But, there is nothing to do after the game is over. You can build up all you skills but that is too easy. Overall a very good game.

Fast Pace Excitement

This is a very fast paced, exciting game from beginning to end. As soon as the game is inserted into your XBox, you'll be faced with non-stop action. There really isn't much of a story behind the game other than you being a supercop sent to rid the city of gangs. However, as your skills progress thoughout the game, explosions become bigger, your aim becomes more accurate, and the fun increases.
Co-op is great, especially through Xbox Live. Weapon selection is adequate (thogh I love the rocket and grenade lauchers a lot). There are tons of bad guys to gaurantee you won't get bored. And above all, the price makes in extremely affordable. Crackdown is definitely a must buy for fans of the "sandbox" genre.

Crackdown is a great sandbox game. It never gets boring running around the city with superhuman speed and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. The controls are simple and work well, as do the melee combat and the gun fights. My one real complaint about this game is that the missions are very repetitive...Find a boss, kill him, repeat...But don't let that deter you! This is a very fun game and it is well worth the money!

This game is a great sandbox title for those who enjoy GTA type game play, without the extreme and offensive touches. The story is simple – there are bad gangs in the city and you need to kill them off, while at the same time evolving as a clone.
It was a shame that its release was overshadowed by the beta key for Halo being in each copy. This led people to not take it seriously, and instead buy it for the beta and nothing else. Those people made a mistake!
I can guarantee that you will enjoy the large city they have designed, the fun vehicles (especially the downloadable buggy), the weapons, and the voice over work. The game was designed very well, and it’s sad that the developer doesn't plan on a sequel. As it sits, we have a library of around 60 games for the 360 and yet this one is the constant for good mindless fun.

Great Game

Crackdown was a great game when it released. Initially just a cash cow for the Halo 3 Public Beta, many people actually found the game to be fun and worth buying. In my experience, I bought it for the Beta, realized the fun factor of it, and instantly got hooked. The game offers plenty of things to do, although it can become repetitive. The fun factor however is so high that you can log endless hours on this game with all of the challenges available. Getting all of the Gamer Points is also a good way to prolong it's lifespan. The game also features downloadable content on Xbox Live Marketplace, which does cost money, but is well worth the cash. If you like sandboxes, guns, superhuman abilities, and (lots) of explosions, you will like Crackdown.

Not a bad GTA filler

This is basically Grand Theft Auto 3.5, lol. It has a lot of the same aspects with the basic options to beat up gang members and pick up "quests" to complete. It's not a bad filler while waiting for GTA 4. Decently solid game but nothing to get excited about.

This game is is very different compared to allot of the games that are out right now. Its kinda like Grand Theft Auto but you character has sorta superhero powers which enables you to jump from rooftop to rooftop when your looking for the bad guy to take out.

This game is a breath of fresh air compared to the GTA series. As you build your character and complete missions, your character becomes stronger and you can take on new missions and reach harder and higher goals. For the price at it is at now, it is DEFINITELY worth the price.
It is a great game that will keep you playing until you become invincible!

I've been playing this at a friend's and I just love it. It gives you the freedom to move around in the world and complete the next task at your own pace. The power-up system is great and you can JUMP!
Throwing cars and jumping on top of small buildings is not unheard of in this game. I'm thinking of getting a 360 just for this game.

This game is definitely worth trying, but its not groundbreaking. It doesn't take the open-world genre to a new level, but the animation and art style make it interesting.
