Customers find value in the sound quality, citing its suitability for gaming and clear microphone audio. The comfort level is also frequently praised, with many users highlighting the comfortable ear pads and overall fit. However, some users expressed concerns about the USB cable's length and stiffness. The cable's placement was also noted as unusual.

I love this because there is an unspoken code at work: 1) Headphones covering one ear, I'm busy, but you can talk to me for important things; 2) Headphones covering both ears, I'm really busy, I will look at you funny when you surprise me by tapping on my shoulder; and 3) ear buds that no one realizes you are wearing, they explain every detail of whatever they came to discuss and then are frustrated when they have to start over.
Sometimes I wish everyone better understood that both ears covered means I'd rather NOT have to listen to you right now. lol

Great sound quality stands up to many other big-name brand Bluetooth headsets. Bright, crisp sound with good bass, not overpowering or muddy. On-board controls are convenient. Discreet microphone still picks up your voice clearly. USB connectivity enables many cool features on your PC, and sounds awesome. Custom EQ, and even voice changer in Creative's desktop app. Light weight for hours of steady use, but does not feel cheap or fragile.
Not the most comfortable ear cups; The padding is thick, but a little stiff, they are on-ear, not around-ear. Ear pad material is soft, but can cause sweat. I recommended against using the standard headphone jack, because no features are enabled this way, making the sound very basic. There is no PC app support when using Bluetooth on a computer, so wireless on your PC has no extra features.

During my first month of use, a small metallic piece on the right side of the headset moved out of place or broke. Now my right headset creaks when it moves. Kinda annoying, expected more for the price. Im in teh process of RMA. Sound quality for games is good, but I didn't notice that much different from their older model. It is extremely uncomfortable to wear for long term. If you have big ears, don't buy it. I was expecting comfortable headsets as in reviews but its not. I like that you can answer calls when your watching a movie using the headset and it automatically pauses the movie too. the USB cord seems alittle thick to use, but does seem to be more flexible over a period of time.

Decent headphones in which I would not spend more than 80$ out of pocket. I had gift cards so I used it towards this. Great for gaming but terrible for active use. Bluetooth cuts in and out at times. Wired quality is great. Squeaks a lot when I wear it not sure if screws were tightened too much during manufacturing. However, since my experience with best buy is definitely the worst ever, I would never see myself purchasing anything from best buy again. Customer service could not offer me any assistance with my purchase.

These are a great headphones that are durable, loud and have lots of bass. Good fit with good portability and sound controls. These headphones are truly unique and worth the buy. These might not be the cheapest headphones, but they do last and work great.

I bought these on clearance. Not knowing much about Bluetooth I thought they would be wireless. Well, they are for everything except my computer. The Bluetooth works well with my phone. I was heard clearly by the person I called. I played music through my phone which worked awesome! However, when trying to sync with my PC there were no compatible drivers. So I need to connect via USB for my PC.

Sound quality was awsome!! Power button and skip buttons way to small have to take off headphones just to find them and very hard to press. Wireless Bluetooth was awsome although audio doesn't quite match when watching video

These headphones have amazing sound. They work well with all of my devices. I was a little frustrated with the pairing at first but it was my fault because I didn't read the instructions.

Great for chilling to bluetooth music. It's a Sound Blaster board in earphones. Whatever sound is muted by bluetooth is restored by the internal processor.

My son was wanting Bose headphones but just couldn't commit to the price. He found these at Best Buy and decided to try them. They set up to his phone and other products very easily. They sound great, and he can use them with his phone when a call comes in. He's very pleased!

Can't return to BBuy even if product is defective. They didn't mention that you can't return this product if the box seal is broken. How can you know if this is good or not if you're not going to open it.

Mind blowing value and almost jack of all trades

The Evo ZX model is the little brother to the Evo ZXR headphones from Creative Labs, which includes hefty drivers (40mm compared to 50mm). Pretty much all the features from the high end ZXR model are found in the ZX model, which is mind boggling when paired with the $89 closeout price at Best Buy in-store. This incredible set of headphones comes close....so very close to being a jack of all trades for headphones in general. Absolute incredible value here folks!
The Evo ZX is flexible enough to meet the demands of someone needing a powerful bluetooth headset (at this price point? yes...you heard right). At the same time, this is an awesome USB powered set of headphones. If connected through the USB connection to your PC, you get beautiful & bass heavy audio with the included software suite normally found in the Z series sound cards from Sound Blaster for your games, music, and movies (SBX which is similar to the fan fav CMSS 3D surround sound). The headphones are comfy enough for people with big heads (which you can extend via the durable band), and the red jacketed included cables...3.55mm and USB cables...look killer (which you can store in the included leather Sound Blaster pouch).
The main downers here are the laughably short 3.5mm cord (which does NOT include a headphone/mic splitter adapter), the weak stereo sound you get from said cable (get lots of echo for whatever reason), and the flat sound you produce from the beam mic (to fill the role of the traditional boom mic).
This headset isn't anywhere near perfect (very weak headphones for older mp3 players, etc), especially at the price when it initially was released. At $89 closeout though in-store, I dare you to find better value for a set of headphones that works with your IOS device, Playstation 4 (via brand new firmware update), android device, and can fulfill the role of a sound card for your PC without the need of installing it into your machine. You won't find it. Great job Creative...and great job Best Buy. Incredible buy!

Right out of box small flake of the red coating came off. Otherwise installed setup and working. After hour or so set becomes painfully on the back of ears. Sound is ok but voices are never very clear.

Perfect headset for everything

Let me start this off by saying that i went through a lot of other headsets before choosing this one. I tried the following with music and games before I chose the Sound Blaster Evo ZX: Logitech G930, Logitech G430, Razer Tiamat 2.2, and the Steelseries Siberia V2. All of the listed headsets were lacking "something". I am used to listening to Bose Companion 5 speakers, so maybe I am spoiled, but listening to the above headsets was nowhere near as great as my speakers. This headset can actually compete with my Bose speakers in sound range and quality (although the Bose have an edge up on the quality).
The surround feature works better than any headset I have ever used. Call of Duty is amazing on this headset. Music is fantastic, and movies are awesome too. The audio processor in this is what makes everything so impressive. The customization in the software and the dynamic sound range make these perfect for everything. They might not be audiophile quality, but they are by no means lacking. At $230 I do feel these are worth it. You can even use them wirelessly with your mobile devices (NFC or Bluetooth, I haven't tried NFC yet). I use them primarily for gaming, but being able to hook it up to my phone at the same time is a pretty cool feature.
The ONLY downsides of this headset are: the padding is pretty slim on the ear cups (although comfy, they could have easily made them a little thicker for even more comfort), the headset just fits my head (if my head was any smaller, it would be too big), and the USB cable is pretty stiff and short and is located on the right ear cup, which is not typically the side headset cables are on) These few cons are not worth taking a star off because the sound stage and sound quality of this headset is nothing short of phenomenal. The microphone is top tier as well (although there is no way to mute it without going into the mic settings in the creative software or windows sound settings)
If creative fixed the above cons, this headset would be 100% perfect, but it's still pretty close now. They just need to add thicker padding, make the headband more adjustable, and make them wireless or put the cable on the left side while adding flexibility and length. Overall, get these, I can't think of a better headset for the price. (and please, no one say turtle beach, they aren't as good as you think)

Great Product for $89

This is a great product for $89. It allows you to enjoy phenomenal sound via Bluetooth, releasing one USB port and avoiding the mess of wires hanging from your head.
The connection is seamless, even without installing the software as you can control all the features from your cellphone (with an app) by having the headset paired to two devices at the same time. The software is good for wired use, and to be able to use the microphone, as the microphone is completely buggy via Bluetooth.
Yes... The microphone is very bad via Bluetooth (even after firmware update), which makes it a huge inconvenient for gaming. If I had paid the full $229 price for this I would be very frustrated. I did not want to use it in wired mode as this was the main reason I purchased a Bluetooth set, so I ended using this for the sound and my internal mic (great internal mic on dell XPS) for communication.
I am a very proficient user and I can tell you there is no amount of trickery that can allow you to control the level of the microphone via Bluetooth.
CREATIVE: PLEASE RELEASE A NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX THE ISSUE WITH THE MICROPHONE VIA BLUETOOTH

Excellent Headphones ...

To start with I was really looking for a nice pair of headphones with bluetooth capabilities and something extra to go with the package ... I own a Beats wireless headphone but im still looking for headphone that would make really enjoy listening to music and more... It's not that the Beats Wireless are not good for me but there's something missing with the sound quality ...
I was really decided to go for the BOSE AE2W headphones but when i saw that Creative was going to release a headset that has built in SBAxx1 chip in it ... Well i really had to wait for this , it's like buying a headphone with a bundled soundcard inside....
Finally i got it from Bestbuy and i was really happy cause it comes with NFC .. Charge it and then downloaded the software for my laptop and installed the app for my android phone ... First I upgraded the firmware cause Creative came out with an upgrade ... I tried it first with my phone and I was really happy with the sound quality , the difference between the High Mid and Low sound output was really significant thanks to the extra processing from the built in SBAxx1 chip... And then tried it with my laptop well that's when i really realized that I really went for the right headphone cause when I plugged in the usb it went from 2.1 stereo configuration to 7.1 virtual surround ..Tried to watch bluray movies and really enjoyed it with this headphone and it does not stop there i tried to play games with it well the same result happened it was really great...
To make it short I found myself a new pair of headphones that has a lot of extras and does not disappoint with all my expectations and it offers more....
