This thing is pretty amazing. Got it for my 12 yr old for Christmas. He LOVED it! He found it easy to use and I liked that it didn't get hot. Played with it until he ran out of the 3 cartridges it came with...about 3 hours. Replacement cartridges were not available at Best Buy so ordered from manufacturer. It was $20 for a 3 pack.

Was a gift for my teenage daughter who is very crafty and creative. I thought it would make the perfect gift. She does not really care for it. She said its hard to get things they way she wants them. Looks nice and easy but certainly is not as easy as it looks. I would recommend this to someone who has a lot of time to play with it and has plenty of patience.

Bought this for my son's Christmas present. Wasn't to sure about it at first, but really liking what he can create with this pen. Wish we can customize the refill colors.

Although the 3D pen works, it is a little too complicated for a 9 year old to work easily. I think it's probably geared more towards teen to adult but it is a very cool gadget.

Bought this as a gift for my artistic sister. She can create some pretty amazing creations with this. Very easy to use!

This is clumsy, spotty when working and definitely not a child's toy. I suspect an adult that could use it would consider it a poor tool for the intended purpose.

Its harder to design and make items than first thought. It could be a lot of fun with more practice and i do expect to play with it more but best buy wants a review now.

Bought for my granddaughter and it does not work like you think it would. Alot harder than you would think.

I got this for my daughter and she loves it. The major downsides are 1) the refills are more that 2x what the "melty" 3d pens are 2) The UV light is quite a bit of concern if she accidentally looks directly into it. Other than those two issues, she's having a blast with it.

Looking for new ways to use it. Made a few things form daughter and trying to figure out how to use it in metal sculptures.

loved my XBOX - kids loved it and was a great christmas girft - highly recommended, also, purchasing online and picking at the front desk is the highly recommended to beat the crowds

Good choice for learning how to use sonce you can't burn yourself as easy as other kinds.

Love this it works great and is better than some of the others out there that just melt plastic. This is different not sure how the technology works but it sure does perform great

The pen behaves as described. Completely cool to the touch and we're able to create very complex items with ease. We highly recommend this to anyone who loves to doodle in 3D.
