$30 card to start my service

Buying this card because I needed to start my cricket service when I bought my new Samsung Galaxy Sol 3 phone which is a great phone in itself. No hassle for me or disrespect while I'm on the phone with a customer service agent. Got my phone connected and everything is good. The only thing bestbuy didn't have was a screen protector for my phone.

So I was talked into buying this when I bought my phone and actually came out better in the end. However, of the 3 we bought one was "deactivated" Although I bought from the comfort of my home I have to go to the local Best Buy and hope they can help. BTW the other 2 I purchased were easy to add as a credit to my existing Cricket account.

I was recently a Sprint, T-Mobile, and Att subscriber. Out of those 3, Att had the best coverage in my area, but also was the most expensive. So I did some research and found out that Att purchased Cricket. They are a MVNO(Mobile Virtual Network Operator) and use Att's network towers. I have been on Cricket for over 2 years and love it. Once I saw a discount for these prepaid cards, I jumped on it. You can use these prepaid cards to pay your monthly bill even if you're signed up for the monthly auto pay. I'm signed up so I know. I can't believe most people pay expensive Att prices, when they can come over to Cricket for a fraction of the cost. Yes, I know they throttle you to 8mbp's download speeds, but honestly that is more than enough when you want to download something. Upload speed is awesome. I have never had an issue with them at all. To be able to spend $50 on a $70 prepaid card is a huge savings for me.

I have had Cricket for several years now since they were purchased by AT&T & it's been great. Customer service is probably the weakest point of the offering as it is all overseas. The website is a little low-tech too but phone selection and coverage is 2nd only to Verizon. Best Buy shipped this refill quickly and at the highest discount rate I've ever seen. Win. Win. Another great Best Buy purchase!

Easy to use, applies directly to account as credit

PROS: These prepaid cards are easy to apply to your account, either by text or using the Cricket Mobile App, and they are stored in your account until needed to pay your balance or for other Cricket services. The dollar amount is applied to your account, and with autopay turned on you still get the $5 discount/month even when there is a credit on your account. The amount can be applied to any plan value (i.e. a $70 card will pay for two months of the $40 plan after autopay discount) and if there isn't enough credit left in your account your credit card will be charged the remaining amount. CONS: Because this is a physical card, sales tax and other locality-specific fees are charged on top of the $70 when purchasing.

Cricket is a great option for light to medium use situations. The more lines you add, the cheaper each one gets. Speeds are limited to 8Mbs, but it is still a decent performer with att nationwide coverage. Once Tmo finishes their build out, things will probably be different. Right now, this is a great all around option. If I were ever to leave Verizon post paid, this would be one of my first options.

These cards are easy to use, and are a great way to save money when they are on sale. They are simple to add to your account as a credit on your account, and your monthly payment is automatically deducted from this credit.

I have a multi-line plan with Cricket on auto pay. If I can get these on discount, it's a great way to save a little more on the family plan. Easy to use, just call *PAY on your phone and punch in the number. Cricket deducts these credits before using your credit card.

I purchased this and a Cricket SIM to take advantage of $50 discount on any unlocked phone. I am already a cricket custom so I can apply the refill card to my balance. The SIM has not value to me but nonetheless it diminishes the $50 discount benefits. Also BB charges sales tax on refill card.

I was upset with our old carrier adding excessive "Fees" on top of taxes, and had already made the decision to switch to Cricket. As we already had two family members on Cricket, we could add 3 more users for a total of $100.00 for five lines (8GB data each- plus unlimited talk and text). As my old plan was severely limited on data and talk, this was a great upgrade and reduced my out of pocket for monthly service. So ... Back to the Cricket refill card. As I was buying a bundle with a phone and a SIM card, it was an even greater deal, as I was able to buy the SIM card and the refill card for $42.00 AND get $50.00 off the cost of the new phone. Great Math in my book. I was able to apply the face value of $40.00 to my new Cricket account and was ahead of the game.

We bought this as a temporary fix for when my parents were visiting the US. The network works great overall and is a good replacement for an expensive Tmobile/Att/Sprint cards. The setup was pretty smooth but required to be with the customer service for about 45 mins. I don't like being on the phone and that was my only point of friction. Beware: If you don't have auto-recharge enabled, you might have to pay a $5-$15 penalty for reactivating the line
