After my $600 Google phone broke for the second time, I needed a phone in a hurry. But it had to be something I could tolerate using for a while because I was not prepared to spend that much on a new phone right now. I found this phone and compared them to other similarly priced phones and chose this one based on a few factors. The first factor was that my prior experience with HTC phones has been very positive. I had the original HTC One M8 for two years and I loved it. I dropped it many times, got it wet, it never quit. Eventually I accidentally drove over it, completely crushing the screen and decided to upgrade. But the phone still worked with that busted screen! I still have it. I also still have the cheapie HTC I bought last year when my Google phone broke the first time. My boyfriend has been using it for at least six months and it's still going. The second reason was the enormous amount of overwhelmingly positive reviews. The third reason was the ability to mount an sd card as internal storage, which most other phones in this price range don't allow you to do. With that ability, I added a 64 gb SD card and I have more storage than my Google phone had. I actually love this phone more than my Google phone that cost 10x as much! I really don't notice any difference in performance. Sometimes it seems unresponsive but I'm not sure if that's the phone or the apps. It's a slightly smaller screen which actually fits my hand better and fits in my neck wallet. It's also lighter than the expensive phone. I have carpal tunnel, and if I held my Google phone for any length of time my wrists would ache and my hands would cramp. I don't have that problem with this phone. And the battery life blows the Google phone out of the water even with a smaller battery! I can leave the house with this phone at 20% and not worry. With my Google phone I constantly needed juice. I can go all day at work listening to music and occasional messaging, to home and play a few games and it just lasts forever. It doesn't get hot like my expensive Google phone did either. Not even warm. There are a few downsides. It is a bummer that there is only one speaker on the front, but the sound is truly great with headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. I hated the keyboard that came with it. It had the microphone on the space bar and the "swipe" method kinda sucked with the prediction, but I installed Gboard and it's all good now. I wish it had the ability to "cast" to my television but I'll live without it. I can use my tablet for that. I've actually gotten many compliments and inquiries about my new phone. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. I no longer have plans to upgrade anytime soon. And when I do, it will be another HTC. I am HTC for life now!

I purchased this for my grandson and he gives thumbs up! Reasonably priced w/great camera feature! It holds charge very well too.

I only purchased this phone because I like the way it looks. Now that I'm using it, i find it hard to switch back to my regular Cricket phone. Most of all, I love this size of the screen.

unlike other htc phones, this one does not give you stereo sound from the front speaker. it looks like there are two , but really only one. otherwise, the phone is fine for the price, and battrey is able to last long. the fewer apps you have running, the better as the chip and ram are not up to multi-tasking.

This is a good phone, fast and good memory. I would recomend this phone, it was a good price, much better than what cricket offers with only 8gb.

Phone is fine. If you are wanting to take decent/good pictures this is not the phone. Sound quality is low. I will be upgrading as soon as possible.

Amazing price on an amazing all around phone, nice crisp clear screen, really nice camera which is a big plus for a budget phone. A little small on the memory size with about 12 availible but thats easily fixed with new micro sd card

Great camera and the lcd screen it's very clear and Nice

I purchased this phone to use after my previous one stopped holding charge. This one was alright, let’s you customize themes/font but also has popups all the time? I went through and deleted all base apps I could and the pop up still happened techs at my wireless provider didn’t understand at first but it apparently was a built in feature. Kinda weird. Other than that decent phone it lasted a little over a year before the touch screen stopped registering finger taps

THE CELLPHONE IS EXCELLENT, IS A LOW PRICE AND EASY TO USE

Not much to say about this phone. It's a basic Android phone. Feels kinda plasticy in the hand, which worries me about ruggedness. But you get what you pay for.
