Great flick for an Anderson fan. Others may not enjoy as much.

this movie receives very mixed reviews from critics, but i honestly believe it to be one of the best movies i have ever seen. bill murray was perfect as steve zissou, and wes andersons direction is amazing. his style is clever, original and very enjoyable. i would say though the movie is somewhat of an indie style and has very dry humor, which is why i can understand while some people don't like it, but i figure if you enjoy those types of films, this one is definitely one to see

life aquatic is a great movie including many big name stars. directed by one of the greatest directors, Wes Anderson. And it has great music, mostly david bowie songs sung in porteguese. If you are looking for a fun time I would highly recommend this movie.

As Wes Anderson became more famous his budgets grew and movies became somewhat over-produced. Bottle Rocket and Rushmore were such great films because they were relatively simple and really dealt with the characters. The Problem with the Life Aquatic is that he tried to focus on all of the extra stuff and lost a little bit of the simplicity that made his earlier films so great. I was bored for most of this movie and I think it really only gets interesting in the last half hour or so. It's still a great film in many ways, but if you really want a great Wes Anderson movie go with one of his first three.

This was great! I love the style, the coloring, the effects. I wouldn't have thought stop-animation was good in a live-action film, but this movie shows it absolutely can be if done right! The actors were excellent, as was expected of the all-star cast, especially Willem Dafoe! Even though Klaus was a supporting character, he was my absolute favorite, sonny!
