    I bought this slow cooker thinking it would replace my 10 year old JC Penney Cooks rectangular slow cooker (which was great and no longer made). When I received it, I realized it would not fit a whole chicken roaster like the Cooks. My fault for not paying attention to the dimension measurements but I wish someone would make a big rectangular slow cooker. I ended up returning it.

    I've only cooked once in my crockpot, however my chicken turned out delicious. It did cook faster than I expected and I will know next time to cook a little slower. Although, my meal turned out tender and juicy. It's great for two people to cook a casserole or just a meat item. I will enjoy cooking in this crockpot for a long time.

    I am using it for parafilm bath. However, it take at least 3 hours to melt parafilm at High setting and one hour to cool enough to use it.

    In future may prefer to buy with split base vs this big one. It is idle for big house but not for a small family. All good otherwise.
