Yes I gave it 4 stars and not 5 and I'll tell you why. It has two flaws, one, at the most inconvenient times it will go to "standby" mode by itself, even though other times it won't go to standby even if left overnight. I honestly can't figure out why that is, and two, it's not the loudest speaker. If you want something that will blast like a JBL bluetooth speaker then, well, buy a JBL, but, BUT, for the money, this is a GREAT little speaker. The build quality is excellent, and I really like the looks, and the sound, although not blaring loud is really loud enough if you don't plan on using it for a party, and it's a VERY nice sound. This little speaker is very clear, articulate and well rounded, and the bass is more than sufficient, plus there's bass and treble controls which is also nice. I'd say the sound is so good that it approaches what you might hear from headphones. Yes, it's that good. I have a JBL Extreme and a JBL Boombox 2. They're both great bluetooth speakers and the JBL's will blow the Crosle away in the volume department, but I'd say the Crosley has the better sound. I did plug mine in with a USB A to B cable which can give you better sound than bluetooth, depending on the source, but overall, for a hundred bucks this is an awesome little speaker. You just can't go wrong if you want something to sit next to you to listen to that doesn't have to blow your ears out but has great sound. I'd recommend this speaker to anyone.
