Crossbones was a one season pirate themed series that blissfully lacked the silly Captain Jack Sparrow. The series was short only lasting a single season prior to being "sunk" by the network. The main complaint I have against the series was only a few characters were allowed to be fully developed. No doubt this was due to the lack of a second season. We are left with a fairly well written ending that did not leave us hanging, like I have seen in so many one season series. The show could have been carried on for a second season but we are apparently felt to have a deficiency of "Reality TV shows" that many network executives strive to correct. I can readily recommend this show for a raining weekend since it is light fair that does not require your full attention to be appreciated.

This limited television series is just one example of the direction that I feel television is wise to keep pursuing. Original or adapted stories which focus on strong edgy more adult themes without being so predictable. Allowing well known established actors to engage in unusual roles on a more character driven level.

I bought it since the series wasn't renewed it had some historic content although it's as well made as Black Sails

this was a great pirate story. excellent acting, scenes were great, and the only bad facet was they didn't continue the series!!

I thought this was a pretty entertaining TV Show. Edward Teach is always an interesting subject

I really liked this show and I think it's a shame that it had to end after just one season.

Fun and well developed story. John Malkovitch is great in this show.

This pirate movie was okay, but nothing compared to Black Sails. Although it has a good story line.

this is a great season with a lot adventures, keep everyone watching
