"Crossfire" is an underappreciated classic film from 1947, directed by great film noir director Edward Dmytryk. It has three great Roberts in it--Robert Mitchum, Robert Ryan, and Robert Young--and an excellent supporting cast. It is a timeless tale of the dangers of hate. A young soldier returning from duty in World War Two is murdered by a fellow soldier who despises him because of his religion/ethnic background. Robert Mitchum plays a soldier who aids a veteran police detective (Robert Young) in his search for the murderer.

Robert Mitchum in a great 1947 RKO Film Noir (ish) classic. Murder, Multiple suspects, Double crosses & Suspense ... Well worth the viewing.
