It seems, every couple of years legendary guitarist, Eric Clapton puts on a blues festival to help fund his substance abuse rehab centers. I've collected all of the concerts, so far. They've all been fantastic, and the 2013 offering keeps this trend going. The talent lineup is encyclopedic, including the old guard (B.B. King, Buddy Guy...), the new (Gary Clark Jr.), and seemingly everyone in between. Though the accent is clearly on the blues, many other styles are featured-Jazz, pop, rock, country, etc. Performers as diverse as Los Lobos (they are incredible!), Earl Klugh, Vince Gill, Albert Lee, and so many more. Of course, Eric Clapton himself plays with several of these performers on some blues tunes, as well as some classic tunes he originally appeared on. The concert is superbly produced, and the audio is first rate. A "must have" for guitar players, and a "can't lose" for everyone else.

from amazon, " A lot of good (and some great) music for a worthy cause takes center stage once again as Eric Clapton hosts the second edition of his Crossroads Guitar Festival, a benefit for his Crossroads Centre rehab facility in Antigua and a near embarrassment of six-string riches occupying two discs. Staged in suburban Chicago in July, 2007, it features several of the same players who were at the first concert (2004, in Dallas), including Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, John Mayer, Vince Gill, John McLaughlin, and Robert Randolph. They're all in fine form, but it's those appearing for the first time who make the biggest impressions. Derek Trucks, who performs on his own, with his wife (Susan Tedeschi, herself an excellent blues guitarist), and backing several other artists (including a frighteningly decrepit-looking Johnny Winter), is a strikingly versatile young player. On the other end of the generational spectrum, the veteran Albert Lee spins out a series of stupefyingly swift licks on "Country Boy," while Jeff Beck is, well, Jeff Beck, at age 63 still inarguably one of the most original musicians to ever strap on a Stratocaster. While most of the others are content to play straight blues or blues-derived rock, Beck sounds as if he's riding a spaceship with strings, wringing sounds out of his instrument that defy understanding, let alone imitation; backed by ace drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and 22-year-old Tal Wilkenfeld, who may be the most exciting electric bassist to emerge since Jaco Pastorius, Beck delivers versions of "'Cause We've Ended as Lovers" and "Big Block" that are the highlights of the show. Elsewhere, Clapton, as is his wont, rises to the occasion in the presence of his peers and plays with considerable passion, even if his "reunion" with Steve Winwood lacks fire (mostly due to the lackluster nature of their Blind Faith-era material, other than the lovely "Can't Find My Way Home"). In the end, one might wish for more good songs, as opposed to opportunities for extended soloing, but even diehard axe-heads will surely be satiated after some four hours of hot licks. Great to enjoy wonderful blues music with Eric Clapton and so many talented artists. They put on a great show! Any blues fan would enjoy this one.

The concert was great! Eric Clapton is the Best. Had to buy a Blu-Ray player to watch this, wouldn't work on my regular DVD player.

I love Eric Clapton playing blues, and enjoying all of the other terrific artists makes this a must have for fans.

Excellent quality of sound and video. This is excellent for the rock, blues music enthusiasts!

Great guitar music and musicians a must see at the best of American music ever

Always one of my favorite guitarists, and this has so many extras. A two disc set full of concert at Madison Square Garden. Lots of other artists joining in.

The music is very good but honestly the picture should have been better. A few shots are out of focus. Still, worth getting and highly entertaining.

Clapton is awsome, glad I bought this. Recomend to other fans.

For guitar lovers and blues lovers, this Crossroad series is great

I have been purchasing these dvds of the Crossroads festival for years. I sit down and watch each of them every now and then. The best part is that it's like being in person at the concert as well as being backstage with the musicians. I always find new talent to enjoy. If you love the blues and guitars this is definitely worth the price. The best part is that you have to wait for these dvds...I have three of them...and sometimes I play them back to back for about a whole day of entertaining music from the best. I guarantee you will love this DVD.

Went to this 2 day event in NY at Madison Square Garden. I t was a fantasic show. Have been to all the Crossroads Feestivals and buy all the DVDS that come out after the Fest as a way to relive the best show ever until the next Crossroads Fest. For those not able to travel to the Festival, Best dvd you could ever buy for your collection. Great music, interesting duets, and unforgettable once in a lifetime jams.

The picture/ video made me dizzy and hurt my eyes. But the audio really good. Close your eyes when you play this blue ray concert.

This is for a great cause and has amazing music on it from top to bottom. You may not like every single artist but it's easy to skip the ones you don't like and find something good. This has introduced me to a lot of new players out there I would have otherwise not heard of.

Great footage of an epic event. I have the dvds from the previous 3 concerts. This one is in line with those. Enjoyed watching the footage. Great selection of songs. Wish more clapton footage. I can do without some of the songs selected, but I'm biased towards Eric.

Many of the greatest guitar players in the world perform in Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival. The sound is fantastic, and there is something for everyone. I enjoyed watching and listening to every act.

I mean, it's Clapton... and so many other awesome artists, I could hardly contain my excitement when I saw it, and then when I got it home and played it with the Bose booming the sound at me, I could feel the music. So amazing!
