Great upgrade for late 2008 Macbook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great kit to max the ram out on a late 2008 unibody MacBook (5,2). Installation is very simple if you've worked on computers before (would be very easy if you haven't, but watch a few diy videos first). Would've given 5 stars but Crucial actually doesn't list the late 08 MacBooks as being compatible with this kit (only supported 4gb max of ram until a newer boot rom update). If you have one of these MacBooks make sure you have boot ROM Version MB51.007D.B03 and are running MacOS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" or higher.

Good upgrade for 2009 MacBook Pro

There were no issues after installing the modules, and the laptop is super fast now. Boot time went from 1-2 minutes down to only 20 seconds.
