The Crucial - BX500 1TB Internal SSD SATA is a great improvement to my Hp Laptop. Everything is so much faster than the old original drive. The Best Buy tech was very helpful with everything I needed. The Crucial website had step by step instructions for clonining and installation which was also extremely helpful.

This drive was purchased as an upgrade when I went to Windows 11, so I did not destroy anything on the Windows 10 hard drive. I received a message one time that a boot device could not be found but restarting the laptop restored full operation. I do back up regularly, as should anyone that uses a computer, even a new computer or one with a new hard drive. A long career in corporate IT has demonstrated that even new hard drives can fail.

My laptop was very slow and not operating the way it should. I brought it in to the Geek Squad and they determined my hard drive as going b ad. They replace it with a new hard drive and it made my old laptop function like a new laptop.

Replaced an old WD10JPVX in my wife's HP laptop in about 1/2 hour. her laptop is about 20 times faster. Boots quickly, performs full MalWarebytes scan in 6 minutes, everything is almost instant. before installing, I cloned her old hard drive using Macrium's free home version (that took about 1:45!) After that, I opened her computer up, switched out drives, put it back together and it was up and running without a hiccup. Slick as a whistle.

fast, quiet and easy to install. I bought it for PC games. now all games start much faster and run more smoothly than traditional hard drives.

Good price in today’s market for what is a known brand since Samsung screwed consumers and small businesses over. Hope they are quality, time will tell.

Every bit as good as any of the other name brand SSD's out there but a bit cheaper. What's not to like?? Recommended.

It does its job. Im not transferring large files a lot, but the speed is more than enough when it comes to gaming.

Guy tried upselling me on a different drive then what i needed lucky i knew what i wanted. This works dont let some know it all guid you differntly

After running some tests, I found out that the hard drive in my old intel-based IMAC was slowly dying, so I got this SSD. I'm so glad I did as it has breathed new life into the computer. Apps load much faster and programs run more smoothly without any drag.

Use these in older systems. Would be great if they had a software ram disk but very good anyway.
