I bought this see how my old slow and unwanted laptop would feel. I was impressed. The laptop felt brand new again. Load times were almost instant and I now threw the idea away that i needed a new laptop. Also had to buy a sata cable for cloning the old hardware which was not an expensive purchase and quite useful to have.

The laptop was getting really slow because of the mechanical drive. This SSD makes it feel like a new computer for a fraction of the cost!

Crazy good hard drive. I use them in HP Gen8 Web servers. They have worked incredibly well.

Upgraded an HP laptop with a Hard Drive that had moments of crippiling slow speeds to this and it feels like a brand new laptop. Made a huge difference, only complaint is that the Acronis disk imaging didnt work for me and I had to use a different software .

This MX500, SK Hynix Gold S31, and whatever the latest Samsung Evo model is, I consider to be in the same class. I churn between these exclusively now because the price difference to cheaper models is not enough to justify sacrificing reliability or performance anymore. That could change this year as some NAND pricing is forecasted to rise.

Speed is secondary to Data Loss. Crucial is the only consumer drive with RAIN technology to prevent errors and loss. Uses the latest 64-layer 3D NAND and includes Low-Density Parity-Check (error correction). I would by this over the faster Samsung EVO for reliability factors.

Incredible experience all around. My HDD in my laptop was slow and lagging so I replaced it with this. The entire process was incredibly easy. Using Crucial's step by step guide on their website to clone the HDD onto the SSD was nice to have as a reference as well. Sure beats loading everything from scratch. The process was seamless and for 60 bucks to feel like I got a brand new laptop is incredible. 5/5 would recommend to anyone in need of an upgrade.

Crucial - MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive I like it so far. It made my laptop work again - hooray! And I didn't have to buy another battery like the laptop manufacturer kept saying I did. For my use this is more than enough storage and the best thing about it is that there are no moving parts to break or wear out. Thanks Crucial!

Works great as a replacement for my hard drive in an older desktop computer. It's quite speedy and startup is very quick.

This was my first time installing an SSD and the process was simple and quick. Increased the speed of my old computer noticeably. The manufacturer is great also. Would buy again, in fact I’ve bought 2 of these within the last few months. 5 stars.
