The P5 Plus should be on your shopping list!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a lot to say here. This isn't being used in a PS5, but rather a Linux-powered workstation. While I hoped that a documentation error would be uncovered using a Gen-4 drive in a system that is Gen-3 limited, it didn't happen. I do get good Gen-3 speeds, though, and thanks to the pre-installed heatsink (well done, Crucial!), my drive temps are in the neighborhood of 32°C. And, this drive is under an RX 580, so that's saying something. The main reasons for buying this drive were a 2GB cache, and the excellent price point. Also, this is my fifth Crucial product, so they must be doing something right. Best Buy was one of the leaders for the otherwise lackluster Black Friday week pricing by other e-tailers. So, as you can guess, I do recommend this Crucial P5 Plus drive, and give it 5 stars.
