Excellent RAM. Performs as advertised after changing some settings in the BIOS. I do work with Micron, so that was my motivation for buying. They are joined to an Aorus X870 motherboard with a 9800X3D and a Gigabyte RX 9070XT. If you’re like me and don’t care about the flashy lights, this will be great!

Excellent set of ram, have them for couple of months now and its solid. No complaints.

There are a few reasons to upgrade your computer memory. Either you need more memory or you need more speed. In my case I opted for both. The Crucial DDR5 Overclocked desktop memory delivers. It's stable, it's fast, and it provides plenty of RAM if you're a power user, or you're pushing your system during one of those gaming marathons. *Build Quality - There are 2 heat spreaders but they still sit lower profile for those smaller builds. There are 2 sticks, all black, with aluminum heat spreaders. Even with the heat spreaders, they are low profile, and lightweight. The feel sturdy, which is important when snapping them in. There's very little flex. *Installation - Installing the Crucial DDR5 Overclocked Memory was a breeze. I installed 2 sticks of 16GB all black. I have an Intel build with an I7 14700F but it also supports AMD 7000 series and up. *Specs/Performance - Timings are 38-40-40-84. Faster memory means one thing for gamers, higher framerate. Depending on your upgrade, you will definitely see a jump in frames. I'm a gamer, but equally important is my upgrade from 16GB to 32GB. I now have some breathing room when I have several apps running at the same time, or a ton of tabs open on my web browser. Enabling XMP will get your timings down to CL38 and your speed up to 6400. Crucial has always been a trusted brand when purchasing memory for my computers. As computers and games demand more, it's nice to hit the sweet spot with the DDR5 6400 memory. There's faster memory out there, but considerably more expensive and less value. 16GB is enough for the casual user, but if your work demands it, or you want to squeeze out every frame available while gaming, this is it at 6400 and 32GB. The icing on the cake is DDR5 tends to offer an even greater return on some productivity workloads involving compressions such as zip files or creative photo work. *Pros* *Stable (Even at these speeds, it remains stable) *Hits the sweet spot at 6400 *Timings are adequate *Heat spreaders generate less heat *32GB will provide enough ram for several years *No RGB, Looks professional *Frame rates will improve *Needs Improvement/Suggestions/Cons* *Some gamers might prefer RGB sticks *Intel 12-Ultra 200S generation only, AMD 7000 series or greater

I needed to upgrade the RAM in a workstation to 32GB of DDR5. I didn’t want any RAM with RBG and needed a low profile. So of course, I go to one of my staple brands to check what they have, Crucial. That is when I found a kit of Crucial Pro OC Gaming 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400MHz, which was a perfect fit for my build. Pros: - Simple and good RAM, No RBG. - Fast and Stable transfer rates for both Intel and AMD. - Low Profile heat sink. Cons: - None. Installation: The Crucial Pro OC Gaming RAM was as simple as RAM installs go; open package, open case, install on motherboard, go into bios to enable XMP/EXPO, and Restart. Done. The RAM worked at the advertised speeds the first time without any issues. This is one of the main reasons I chose Crucial, the RAM works exactly as I want it to. The heat sinks on these were the perfect height to not conflict with the air cooler, which has a fan over the RAM slots. Speeds: Most of the time, when you install a new component in a PC, it is best practice to go into Bios afterwards to confirm the hardware shows up correctly. Consult your Motherboard manual for how to get into Bios, for me it was spamming the “Delete” key on boot. For the RAM, the XMP or EXPO settings need to be enabled to achieve the advertised transfer rate, in this case that is 6400MT/s. After enabling XMP, I saved and restarted normally with no issues. After restart, the RAM showed up in Task Manager at 6400MT/s. I ran a few quick tests without issues, then it was off to work. The computer felt so much faster with the increased RAM. I was able to open more applications and work between tasks without the system slowing to a crawl. Conclusion: If you need a simple and fast set of RAM to upgrade your system to 32GB, without the RBG, the Crucial Pro OC Gaming RAM is a solid upgrade choice with the 6400MT/s and simple design. I’ll continue to use and recommend Crucial RAM for many future builds.

Adding Crucial memory is probably the best upgrade I've made to my desktop machine. I have an Acer Predator Orion 5000 gaming machine with an i7 processor. It came stock with 16GB of memory which I always thought was a bit slim. Upgrading to 32GB made a noticeable difference in not only games, but in my every day usage as well. Even though the Predator is by nature a gaming computer, it serves as my everyday machine too. Looking at my memory usage, I'm on average at just over 14GB. That's with a word editor program open, my Photoshop Elements program for editing photos and lots and lots of browsers with at least a dozen tabs in each one. So I guess it's safe to say that my previous 16GB of memory was certainly at the limit just in everyday usage. These new Pro Overclocking series UDIMM modules are certainly capable of giving me the added memory space I need, and on top of that can be over-clocked for gaming. I personally don't overclock my machine, but you're welcome to with this 32GB kit, which supports both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles up to 6400MHz. These modules are really cool looking with their outer shell design. The “heat spreaders” work to dissipate heat and keep them cool. I really like the matte black color, but since there's no integral lighting, you may find that getting the white color would show them off better inside your case. I replaced my two stock 8GB UDIMMs with the two 16GB UDIMMs. It was about the easiest upgrade I could have hoped for and took literally about five minutes to complete (which also included opening up the case). They are plug and play for the majority of us, and all I did was power up and look in my system settings to see that the Installed RAM now shows 32.0 GB. If you're interested in overclocking, you'll probably need to go into your BIOS and make a change there. Most machines differ with what they call that option, so it's best to look in your user manual for guidance. Overall, using my machine after upgrading to the Crucial RAM is a better experience. Everything just seems to run very smooth. No glitchiness, and no waiting for programs to finish working on something. As far as games, I like playing first person shooters a lot. DOOM and DOOM Eternal look absolutely amazing when all the video options are maxed out. The benefit from the extra memory was plain to see. If you were always interested in seeing the benefits of being able to turn on ray tracing effects, you can now do that without fear that you're game play will suffer because of it. I'm seeing my games in a whole way, and I love what I see! There's no lag or stutter (which I didn't get with my 16GB of memory, but then I didn't have all the video options topped out). With the more advanced games coming out, I think it's safe to say that soon the norm will be for gaming machines to come with 32GB instead of 16GB. My machine isn't even a year old and I see this happening already on a lot of systems. So, upgrading your memory can easily send you down a rabbit hole trying to find out exactly what specs your current memory has and which memory devices are actually going to work in your system. Before I chose this upgrade kit from Crucial, I made it a point to visit their website and use their extremely helpful tools to find my exact machine to see which DDR5 modules will actually work for me. If you can't find your machine listed, you're probably just looking in the wrong place. They have thousands of machines listed and any manufacturer you can think of. I don't know how they do it, but they cross reference your machine and show you only the RAM that will work in your system. It's pretty amazing, and I didn't run across any other memory manufacturer that had an even remotely good product finder as Crucial. They are tops in the industry, and it's easy to see why. I love the added RAM and I'm really glad I upgraded.

The wonderful thing about DDR5 is it is no longer new to the market. Gone are the extremely high prices for even mediocre sticks of memory. Instead, you can now find very competent sticks in the 6000-6400 range for good prices so it really comes down to memory compatibility, quality and warranty. Arriving in very modest, budget packaging, the Crucial Pro series memory modules have zero RGB which I actually do like. The heatsinks are small and stylish and this is the first time I've encountered DDR5 modules with onboard dual profiles for both Intel (XMP) and AMD (EXPO). When you go into the BIOS, you can even see both sets of profiles for 6000 and 6400 for each platform but depending on which platform you use, you can only select the ones meant for your system. Since I tested these in an Intel platform, the XMP profiles 1 and 2 were available for selection. As expected, since these sticks are from Crucial which is owned by Micron, the modules are of Micron make and model in CPU-Z. I like they only require 1.35v for every profile. While testing on Intel, these sticks will really shine on AMD platforms since 6000-6400 is the sweet spot for AM5 CPUs due to how Fclk works with Uclk (=memclock), 6000 will put you in that perfect 2000:3000 while 6400 will work best for systems that can hit 2133 fclk. I tested the sticks with a TM5 memory 90 min run and they passed no problem. I played some of my favorite games (World of Warcraft, Fallout 76, COD, Starfield) and they performed quite well. The only downside is if you have an Intel rig, depending on CPU and motherboard, they can properly take advantage of faster memory more than AMD but it isn't a deal breaker. My main rig is a 14900KS on an Asrock Lightning z790i and Teamgroup 8200 sticks so they weren't as good or fast as my 8200 sticks doing some quick benchmarking, but in reality they are more than enough to get the job done. These will be pared with an AM5 system where they will be perfect. One pet peeve I thought I was going to have was the packaging. It looked like the hard to open, useless once open packaging type but once you remove the cardboard like outside, inside is a decent plastic reusable container to hold you memory sticks no problem if storing them or another set. If I was going to be picky, I would say the heatsinks are rather spartan and very light weight. For example, the heatsinks on my TG 8200 sticks clock in at 83g total for the entire module while these clock in at ~33g. They are some of the lightest heatsinks I've ever encountered on DDR5 modules. Lastly, let's talk about the price. These are priced very well when on sale which seems to happen frequently and they can be had for under $100USD. DDR5 pricing has really come down, and these Crucial sticks really allow you to equip either your AMD or Intel system with 32GB of memory for a very good price. Definitely a solid no frills buy.

Crucial has the DDR5 Pro Series desktop memory that supports overclocking. I have the 32GB CL38 version of this. The pack comes with two 16GB sticks with heat sinks. The RAM supports overclocking for 12th to 14th gen Intel CPUs and AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs. The system in which I needed to upgrade RAM was a 14th gen Intel system. It had 16GB of generic RAM. I replaced that with the two 16GB Crucial sticks. After installing the sticks of RAM, I powered up the box and saw it boot into the OS without any problem. Crucial RAM has always worked for me in the past, so I wasn't expecting any problems with their DDR5 Pro series of RAM. As this replaced a single generic 16GB stick of RAM, I doubled that with the two Crucial sticks which should allow for apps and games to run a little smoother. In using desktop apps, it was a little faster launching them and switching between them. The more noticeable difference after the upgrade was seen in gaming. Since I run a few games that really need to load a lot into memory to avoid slowing down, doubling the RAM was a big help with those. I wasn't noticing any of the typical slowdown or hiccup that I was with only the one 16GB stick. All games load faster on my system so I got a speed boost from the upgrade. I don't remember the speed of the generic RAM, but it is clear that the Crucial Pro sticks are a bit faster than my old one. Crucial says the RAM is XMP 3.0 ready and also AMD EXPO ready, so that is supported with this RAM. Overclocking shouldn't be an issue for anyone. There isn't a lot one can say about RAM. It either works or not, supports overclocking or not, is fast or not. Well, it works, supports overclocking, and is fast. If you are building or still running a 12th to 14th gen Intel system or an AMD 7000 system, and you need RAM for it or need to upgrade the RAM, this will work for you. If you need to overclock your CPU to get a little more out of it, this will work for you. I'm happy with the Crucial DDR5 Pro Series RAM as the upgrade for my system's RAM. It has worked as expected and has been a big help with gaming on that system. If you are needing RAM or needing to upgrade your RAM, then consider Crucial's Pro series RAM.

Great memory if you are looking to upgrade or build a new system. Comes inside a slim pack. I love that it’s all black and without all that RGB no sense. If you want a sleek and sleeper build without RGB, this is it. Both sticks are of 16 Gigs each totaling 32 Gigs. They have a nice and slick heatspreader that has like a stealth fighter look, keeping the sticks cool. I love that they have both XMP and EXPO profiles for simple once click setup. (XMP for intel systems and EXPO for AMD AM5 ones). I have Ryzen 7 7800x3d and a x670e motherboard. Once installed, it was as easy as entering the bios and selecting the EXPO profile to get them to run at 6400MTs. Granted, this makes the system memory controller run in a 2 to 1 mode, very few CPUs can run at 6400MTs in 1 to 1 mode, depends if you win or not the silicon lottery on your CPU. Mine was able to run uclock and mem clock in 1 to 1 mode just fine, but YMMV. Still, even though you can’t, you can always downclock them to 6000Mts in 1 to 1 mode tightening the timings for good performance and still have a nice 6400Mts kit for future AMD chips with faster memory controllers! Since they also have an Intel XMP profile, you can use them in with Intel systems if you move onto such system. If you’re looking for a fast RAM kit, easy to use and with no RGB nonsense, this is the one for you, 16Gigs doesn’t cut it anymore these days, so 32Gigs is the new standard, go for it!

This RAM kit is the new understated-looks performance-buff king that I have put in my gaming PC. I am so pleased with multiple aspects of this RAM that I will share. First of all, it is the first RAM that my Intel i7 13700F CPU and Aorus Z790 motherboard seem to play well with together that has allowed me to enable the XMP profile and get the full 6400 MT/s speed that this RAM is capable of! My previous RAM, a Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB 6000 MT/s kit, was locked at 5600 MT/s in spite of multiple efforts and tutorials I followed to try to get my BIOS to behave with it. For a streamer and gamer, I really want every drop of performance out of all parts of my system that I can squeeze out of them, not to the extent of doing too much crazy overclocking that can introduce instabilities into the system (exactly what you DON’T want while running a stream). I am so grateful that I was able to toggle some simple settings in my BIOS and now I am getting full performance out of this RAM; going beyond the advertised 5600 MT/s max of the 13700F CPU! Going beyond the performance, the aesthetics and build quality of this crucial RAM is pristine. It is low profile enough as to be welcome in almost any ITX case I can think of. It also is beautiful to behold and does not contribute additional rainbow RGB vomit to my system. One of my HUGE pet peeves with the Corsair Vengance RAM is that the stinking RGB lights would not turn off when I put my PC to sleep! I would have to turn off the whole system to get perfect darkness out of my PC case. Now, I do not have to worry about that, all while getting the best performance I could have hoped for out of this economical and high performing RAM kit! Altogether, if you are avoiding flashly RGB in your system but still want performance out the wahzoo, I would absolutely consider getting this kit. DDR5 RAM is in an interesting place right now with the options available and I would say that Crucial hit the nail on the head with this one. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy your purchase!

The Crucial - Pro OC Gaming 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400MHz C38 UDIMM Intel XMP 3.0 & AMD EXPO Desktop Memory (long name) is the step up DDR5 memory you want if you are stepping up your game up! Requires either: - Intel Core 12th to 14th Gen - AMD Ryzen 7000 Series I have recently been running a very quick DDR5 6000 MT/s dual channel 32GB set of memory, which is stupid fast, and then the Crucial - Pro OC Gaming 32GB showed up on my desk. I’ll cut to the chase, the Crucial is faster and rock solid. Pro’s: - Crucial Pro OC Gaming DDR5 is ‘both’ Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO Ready - 6400 MT/s 38-40-40-85 - Low Latency - Good Price Point - From Micron who has a long history of cutting-edge memory development and solid components. Ran XMP OC up to XMP Tweak testing on latest Asus TUF Gaming Z890-Plus WIFI Motherboard with excellent results, nudging out the 6000 MT/s memory. Keeping in mind that millisecond response times is serious business on gaming grid. What did I find? The is Crucial Pro OC Gaming DDR5 6400 MT/s is fast, fastest memory I have ran on my machine. This high speed RAM has worked really well in my most recent computer build. The OverClocked Ram paired with my AMD Ryzen 7 7700x with EXPO has allowed me to load the EXPO profile in the BIOS. Once the profile has been selected i was able to run the RAM at 6400mhz. I also run it in a 32GB configuration but I am planning to upgrade to 64GB. The SPEEDS are noticeable, I have noticed with web browsing the amount cached and the ability to access it has noticeable improved from my previous memory of 5400Mhz. The multi-tasking has also run more smoothly. I have run multiple programs and the task manager allows me to see the resources used and the amount cached is about 20GB which shows the ram is being used to help run my programs and the frequency being run at is the max RAM speed of 6400Mhz. Overall not much more i can say , other than the memory was easy to install, the EXPO profile was easy to upload and the performance has been noticeably improved. I definitely recommend this RAM for those with the ability to load an AMD EWXPO file or the Intel equivalent.

Crucial is one of my longstanding favorite brands for RAM and storage, as their products have generally represented a combination of performance and reliability. This DDR5 RAM, Crucial's Pro OC Gaming 32GB kit (2x16) sits well within that tradition. Aesthetically, it's minimalist by the standards of a lot of "gaming" RAM, with simple black heat spreaders featuring the Crucial logo. You won't see flared "wings" or a ton of RGB lighting. I like the look a lot since that's my preference for my PCs. Rated at 6400Mhz and a CAS latency of 38, it is not the absolute fastest RAM available nor does it have the tightest possible timings. But it does have broad compatibility, featuring both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO settings (with profiles for both 6000Mhz and 6400Mhz, see attached image). This should work well then with both Intel CPUs 12th gen onward or AMD's CPUs from the 7000 series onward. Keep in mind that the ability to run higher clocked RAM is a function of the CPU's memory controller. I tested this RAM on my personally built gaming PC with an Intel i9-12900KF and a Gigabyte Z790 motherboard. The XMP settings were easily loaded and the system booted up at the 6400Mhz speed. It's my understanding that Intel 12th gen can't always reliably hit this speed, but the later Intel CPUs usually can. I don't have a current AM5-socket AMD CPU to test with, but it's my understanding that Ryzen's sweet spot is generally considered 6000Mhz, so if you can't hit 6400Mhz, know there is an EXPO profile for 6000Mhz as well. Keep in mind too that some pre-built gaming PCs unfortunately do not give access to load XMP profiles in BIOS, so your ability to use this RAM at its full speed may be affected by their decisions. My only quibble with these is the latency timings, which are a little on the looser side. This will lead to a small decrease in gaming performance vs. RAM of the same speed with tighter timings. That said, tighter timings may not always be supported by the CPU's memory controller at such speed, so there's the tradeoff with regard to stability and compatibility vs pure speed above all else. I've played a lot of demanding games without difficulty with this RAM and the 32GB of total RAM is nice to have. There are finally games coming to market that do have recommended RAM limits above 16GB, so this does help prepare you for the direction newer AAA games are heading. Overall, I think this is an excellent RAM kit for gaming PCs or any PC that needs higher capacity or bandwidth. I've owned tons of Crucial products over the years and every single one has been rock-solid. I like the understated aesthetics as well as the inclusion of both XMP and EXPO profiles, so if you're someone who jumps between platforms you can still use this RAM easily. Recommended.

The Crucial - Pro OC Gaming 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400 are the real deal. The basis for my review is the Asrock Z790 Nova WiFi mobo, Intel I7-14700F processor and a RTX 4070 Ti. Prior to installing this RAM kit, I was using a DDR5 6000 2x16GB from Kingston. Installation was easy and the construction of the Crucial - Pro OC 6400 DIMMS is top shelf. The heat spreaders are visually appealing and weighty. There's not much more to add - other than to say that these memory DIMMS don't feel cheap. Running through my go-to benchmarks, the Crucial - Pro OC Gaming 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400 gave me a marked performance boost and have performed consistently well for an entire week. No hiccups. Cinebench R23 yielded 34K results and demonstrated about a 4K score bump over the 6000 MHz DIMMS I had been using. AIDA64 Extreme consistently produced the following results: Read - ~100000 MB/s Write - ~ 87000 MB/s Copy - ~ 89000 MB/s Latency - ~ 70 ns The 400 MHz speed increase over the 6000 MHz Kingston RAM essentially produced a +10% performance boost in both AIDA64 and Cinebench results. One additional thing I noticed with this RAM kit was how quickly the Nova Mobo accepted them without doing any noticeable extra memory "training" cycles during the initial boot strap. I attribute this to the JDEC programming table, which by the way, clearly shows both the XMP and Expo timings when configuring the Bios settings. Color me impressed! I've used Crucial memory across several desktop and laptop computers over the years and they always seem to be the pinnacle of compatibility. This Crucial - Pro OC Gaming 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400 kit seems to be no different and if you're looking for a performance boost within the boundaries of a JDEC table - these DIMMS are the way to go. Highly recommended!

Overall: I was able to overclock this memory in my Asus gaming system using the Ai Tweaker in bios without issue. My stock ram was running at 5600 mhz which is the standard max for the Intel i7 14700 processor. Using the Ai Tweaker I was able to set the DRAM speed to 6400 mhz and then I ran several cpu test as well as some stress test. All the test passed and the computer worked great. In my testing I saw a latency of 11.9 ns having 38-40-40-84 timings. This is about a 3 ns improvement over the stock ram that came with my system. How much of that translates to real life increases is yet to be determined. To say I noticed an enormous increase in frames per second or increase in processing speed would be a stretch but what I can say is that this memory seems to be very stable at 6400 mhz and the heat sink/spreader is certainly an improvement over my stock ram. Note that this ram does run at 1.35 v which is higher than my stock ram that ran at 1.1 volts. A word of caution to those who aren’t familiar with their computer’s bios capabilities. Some Pre-built computer manufacturers while supporting XMP 3.0 still will not allow you to set the actual DRAM speed or they limit the maximum speed. They do this to keep you from creating an unstable system. Although these memory sticks will work without XMP 3.0 turned on you will not be able to get the higher speeds or optimized performance without it. I experienced this when I installed this ram into an Acer gaming computer. The memory worked but the bios would not allow me to set the ram speed even though XMP was enabled so speed was limited to 5600 mhz. I highly recommend you check your system’s bios capabilities to verify that it will support and let you configure DDR5 6400mhz ram otherwise you may end up frustrated and returning the memory. As soon as I opened these memory sticks I was impressed by the size and quality of the heat sinks/spreaders. The sinks are designed to give good heat transfer without interfering with the adjacent memory slots or being too tall which could interfere with some cpu coolers. Because you can overclock this ram and that they run at a higher voltage at 1.35v the beefer heat sink/spreader is a welcome addition. The other plus side of these heat sinks is that they give you plenty of areas to grip the sticks when installing them without putting your fingers on the actual chips. Some may find the lack of RGB lighting is a downside but I already have RGB lighting strips inside the case and in the fans so it was not important to me. For someone who does not have the ability to increase their DRAM clock speed I also tried these sticks in another pc and they down sped to 5600 mhz and ran just fine. You still get the benefit of the solid heat sinks and the benefits of stable memory even at that lower speed.

The Crucial Pro OC Gaming 32GB DDR5 6400MHz kit comes with 2 sticks of 16GB memory for a total of 32GB. According to the package, these memory sticks support both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO memory profiles. According to CPU-Z, the memory sticks have the following SPD timings EXPO-6400/XMP-6400: 3200 MHz with 38-40-40-84 timings EXPO-6000/XMP-6000: 3000 MHz with 36-38-38-80 timings I installed the memory in my ASUS TUF Gaming X870-Plus WIFI motherboard. My motherboard defaults the memory speed to running at 5200MHz. In order to reach 6400MHz, you need to enable overclocking in the bios. Technically, to run memory faster than the default, you need to overclock it. With my ASUS motherboard, you can enable overclocking memory in the Advanced Settings mode under the Ai Tweaker menu. From there, you can set the memory to use different memory profiles such as Default, EXPO 1, EXPO 2, or MANUAL. I first tried the EXPO 2 setting (which uses the memory profile stored in the memory sticks) running at 6400MHz and everything initially seemed great, but I did experience occasional crashes when playing Black Myth Wukong. When the game crashed, it just exited back to the desktop, but it didn’t seem to affect any other programs afterwards. Other than that, the computer didn’t experience any issues with the memory running at 6400MHz. I experienced the same behavior when using the EXPO 1 setting at 6400MHz. I then tried the EXPO 1 setting (which uses the memory profile stored in the memory sticks along with some ASUS tweaks) running at 6000MHz and the computer was rock solid, and I did not experience any crashes when playing Black Myth Wukong. I usually like to test the stability of a computer by running games as it can stress both the CPU and graphics card. During testing, I noticed that a new bios (v0825) for my motherboard was available, so I flashed my motherboard with the new bios, but I was still unable to run the memory at 6400Mhz without experiencing occasional crashes in Black Myth Wukong. Because of this, I will probably leave the memory running at 6000MHz on my system. Running at 6000MHz does offer lower latency which can actually be better or faster in many use cases. It depends on the application. I’m not a big overclocker anyways so this doesn’t really bother me too much. I much prefer rock solid stability over occasional instability with tiny speed increases that I wouldn’t even be able to notice unless I was benchmarking. Also, memory stability depends on many factors so it’s possible that this memory can run at 6400MHz on another system but for some reason it has issues with my particular system (combination of hardware and software components). Overall, I can recommend this memory for anyone looking to upgrade their computer to 32GB. In my case, it has been rock solid running at 6000MHz in my system. I have used Crucial memory many times in the past with excellent stability and performance and Crucial has an excellent reputation among the DIY community. Unfortunately, I am reluctantly deducting a star (I wish I could only deduct ½ stars) for not being able to run it at 6400MHz on my system. My reluctance comes from the fact that the cause of this instability might be lying somewhere else.

While the Crucial Pro OC Gaming DDR5 6400MHz RAM kit isn't actually a misnomer, its important to clarify a few things. "Professional Overclockers" are not really going to be looking to buy this kit, it is definitely geared more towards Gamers who want to just load up XMP or EXPO settings and get high compatibility at low latency and RAM timings for a solid level of performance. The "Pro" is more of a reference to the Vanilla Crucial kit and the "OC" is a nod to the fact that DDR5 is actually only rated officially by JEDEC for DDR5 4800MHz speeds, so this 1600MHz difference does represent a 33% "OC", but many kits have been doing DDR5 6400MHz speeds for awhile and there are also kits out there that will do 7200MHz+ but cost 2-3x as much. Where the Crucial Pro OC does really well is that it also comes with really low timings at C38 with secondary RAM timings to match, all of which can be enabled easily by just enabling the XMP or EXPO profile in your motherboard BIOS. I was impressed that I was able to get the rated XMP speeds on my 3 year old 12700K processor which has an older memory controller. I was also able to run EXPO on the latest AMD 9800x3D CPU. I didn't push the timings lower, but given how stable and easily this RAM runs XMP, I wouldn't be surprised if I could drop Cas down to 32-35. One minor discrepancy was my tRC timing was a little higher than rated, I haven't reduced it down to rated spec yet but I'm also confident it will handle it without issue. The packaging only says AMD Ryzen 7000 but that is only because this kit had packaging that was printed before the 9000 series came out, but it clearly works with Ryzen 9000 too. There's no RGB and the heatspreaders aren't super beefy, but the RAM kit looks clean and works as rated, so for the price this is definitely a kit I can get behind for anyone who wants solid, no hassle performance at the rated speed and timings, which is more than I can say for some of these kits from other makers who push the envelope with optimistic RAM speeds and timings.

Great ram sleek and nice to look at! No RGB but I prefer it this way looks good for all black accents!

No issues so far, had the item for a month and is performing better than any Gskill RAM
