Much like how Angelina Jolie turned the wicked Maleficent into a sympathetic character, Emma Stone does a similarly superb job rehabilitating the image of the ferocious furrier from the animated classic "101 Dalmatians". In this telling of Cruella's origin, we see that our anti-heroine is an up-and-coming fashionista who lands a dream job designing for the Baroness, the pinnacle of London fashion as embodied by the equally outstanding Emma Thompson. The result is an epic battle of wills and wits where viewers find something to like about both characters, while of course wanting Cruella herself to get that delicious last laugh. Filmmakers populated 1970s London with a talented supporting cast brimming with both likable new characters and reimagined originals from the animated feature. The soundtrack is period rock-and-roll and sets the scene flawlessly. There's plenty to like in "Cruella", and this collection of discs and digital copy will give you chances to enjoy it without chewing into your data plans.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. Have watched a number of times. The acting was very good and a nice story.

I streamed this on rental and found myself liking it more than I thought I would. I decided I would like to have it in my collection. The cast, the acting, the costumes, the plot, the music all very satisfying. Music is period set in the 60s, so lots of British invasion hits in the soundtrack. The acting and plot is fun and campy in a good way. The humor leans dark and a bit sarcastic and is fast pace slapstick, but the way the actors deliver the lines make it work very well. I still have to watch the extras to watch the cast and crew talk about working with each other and bringing the film to life. Streaming doesn't provide these insights like the physical disc medium.

Ohhhhh Wheeee this one caught me by surprise. I had high hopes going in but it really exceeded all my expectations. Not the shot for shot remake I was expecting based on the recent live action movies released by Disney. This was a complete origin story loosely based on the villain from the original animated film, which was extremely refreshing. The acting, writing, soundtrack and visuals were all top notch. 4K was also an improvement over the streaming on Disney+ so all around I have nothing but praise for this movie and the physical disc.

This is a very DARK and quirky rendition of the Cruella story that at points is hard to follow, and the british dialect gets in the way unless you turn the volume WAY UP! BUT - the soundtrack is actually the best part! Theres some fantastic songs used as back up material! I did like the film MORE the 2nd time around at home on the tv. my 1st viewing was at a drive in and the picture quality is NEVER good at the drive in, just lots of fun! Im actually curious about where the sequel is going to take us!

Great movie! Really hope there is a second one! Like a lot of the current Disney live-action movies, they take villain and humanize them. Which isn’t always good, but in this case, it worked very well! Emma Stone plays as Cruella. Through drunken chance she gets to work with her ideal. From there the story only gets better as she begins to spin out of control. Can’t say much else without spoiling it. So enjoy!

I loved this movie! What an amazing, fun, and absolutely raucous origin story for one of Disney's greatest villians! Emma Thompson gives a deliciously evil performance as Cruella's rival, while Emma Stone gives a masterful performance as Ms. DeVil and you find yourself rooting at times for both in spite of the fact that you can see each start to go "a little mad" themselves. But just wait for the moth scene. Honestly one of the best surprises in the whole film! Highly recommended!

IMO, the best Disney Live-Action remake. Emma Thompson and Emma Stone both knock their roles out of the ballpark. If there was ever a villain that needed an origin story, this is it. The detail and costume design in this movie alone are out of this world - just absolutely stunning. Overall, Gillespie and his team have delivered audiences a suitably wicked and well-acted backstory for one of Disney's greatest villains. A must have for a Disney collector!

Great movie. Perhaps one of the best motion pictures of the year. Entertaining for everyone ...... children, adults, family, all ages ....... many thrills, twists, and turns, drama. Would not be surprise if Cruella gets some Academy Award nominations for best costume design, best production design, best cinematography, along with best actress and supporting actress roles for comedy motion picture (Emma Stone, Emma Thompson).

My Cruella steelbook came today & both blu-ray with the 4k disc was inside & not off their holders rolling around which was nice & the digital copy of Cruella is in 4k with dolby vision & dolby atmos I redeemed my digital copy on the redeem digital movie's website then clicked on movies anywhere so it can link to my vudu account

I generally find most Disney movies boring now that my kids are grown up. This one was well done. Emma Stone is one more f the better actresses of the younger generation of actors. Very good performance. My thought regarding this movie is that it is not for the younger audiences even though it’s a Disney movie - it’s pretty dark. Good for middle school and up.

I was a little mixed at first when it came to this movie as part of me didn't like the idea of it retconning the 101 Dalmatians yet this is an amazing story. I love this version of Cruella as much as I hate/hated the animated version. For those who feel iffy on rewrites of classic characters just tell yourself it's an alternate reality.

I kinda thought there would be more ' dogs' especially Dalmatians in the movie. I get that it is about the girl and how she became ' cruella ' . Sad story but still i liked it, we all argued who exactly was the real ' villain ' . Emma Stone is such a great actress and so is Emma Thompson was difficult to chose who i was liked as their character was 5he best.

A fun and great telling of the backstory of in my opinion one of Disney's most unique villains. Definitely a more mature film not something I would recommend for children under 10 but not too bad just has some dark material that might scare small children. Overall a great movie and one of my favorite live action Disney movie in recent years.

Emma Stones performance was Brilliant in this film, very exotic in a good way. Very very beautiful woman!!! I love everything about this film. But for some reason my steelbook did not come with digital code, i am so bummed. I really enjoyed this film, loads of comedy and emotions through out! A must see for all Disney Fans! Emma Stone is AWESOME!!!

I enjoyed the movie very much. The movie leans a little on the dark side but i didn't have a problem with that. The two lead actresses, or the two Emma's if you will, carry the movie on their shoulders admirably. The movie has an awesome soundtrack. The bluray looks great and has a fair share of extras. Overall, i was very happy with my purchase.

I didn't really have much expectations on this, I love Emma Stone and Disney usually does ok with it's live actions, so I wasn't worried either. It really was nice a surprise, it was fun, loved the new story and origin story for Cruella. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are fantastic. It's kid friendly but still entertaining enough for adults too.

I’m not a fan by all the real-life/acted Disney movies throughout these past couple years, but def love this version of 101 Dalmatians prequel.Emma Stone crushes it! Yes, I got this as a Black Friday purchase so def happy I got my dollar’s worth. Def recommend too!

Cruella is very much like Maleficent, a story that greatly deviates from the source material and creates a compelling multifaceted character that breathes new life into an iconic villain. The level of originality, the soundtrack, and the superb cast create a compelling and memorable story that you will want to see again and again.

On all the remakes Disney keeps doing this is my favorite by far. They took this story and made it quite interesting. Loved the actors as well. Have a new respect for evilness lol. Entertaining and well acted. I guess we will see the dogs in another story.
