Compromised Transfer of a Masterpiece

This is Friedkin’s masterpiece. Unfortunately, the transfer is a mess, with every frame loaded with hideous digital noise reduction and revisionist color timing. I expect this was mandated by Friedkin, as Arrow transfers are usually immaculate. Still, it’s the best we’re likely to get for this film for a long time, so I’m happy to have it.

Good action/suspense thriller movie!
