It takes the Best of The Old & Makes it New

I've been playing it & it's pretty awesome. It takes the best of the old & makes it new. It definitely captures the feel of the originals & old midway games in general. It builds on all the positive aspects of the old games, then turns those things all up to 11. The tracks are even more unique & crazy. The colors, vibrancy & graphics are top notch for the Switch & really bring the game to life. I was honestly playing it in awe at some points of just how cool the tracks are. The cars are better & there's a decent amount of unlockables. The driving is fun & challenging. It also runs surprisingly smooth on the Nintendo Switch.
I was shocked that it maintains a 60fps frame rate in single player with everything that is going on in during a race. In terms of content there's not a crazy amount of other modes, but the replayability of all the tracks & challenge of the game is nicely balanced. And for 40 bucks it's honestly a steal, it's the best arcade racer on the Switch. If they add any additional content, that would be the icing on the cake.
I give it 5 stars when compared to other racing games on the Switch. It clearly knows what it is & the small developement team at Raw Thrills clearly put in some pain staking time into getting an Arcade game to operate at a buttery smooth 60 FPS on the Switch. It's a truly impressive port & feat what Raw Thrills accomplished here with this Cruis'n title. Highly Recommend if you liked the old Cruisn' games, fast paced arcade racers or you're just looking for a fresh racing title for the Switch. This is a very happy surprise for me. Now, can we get a Wave Race Revival or what?!

If you’re looking for pure, over-the-top arcade chaos, Cruis’n Blast delivers exactly that. Originally an arcade title, this Switch version captures the same wild energy — bright neon visuals, ridiculous stunts, and non-stop action that feels straight out of the late ‘90s.
The gameplay is fast and flashy. You’re not just racing cars — you’re outrunning dinosaurs, dodging yetis, speeding through tornadoes, and blasting through exploding cities. It’s more about fun and spectacle than realism, and that’s what makes it great. The controls are simple and responsive, perfect for quick pick-up-and-play sessions.
Graphically, it’s surprisingly impressive for such a chaotic racer. The environments are colorful and detailed, and everything runs smoothly even with all the explosions and motion effects on screen. The soundtrack fits the high-energy vibe perfectly — lots of upbeat, arcade-style tunes that keep you hyped through each race.
On the downside, it’s a bit short if you’re playing solo — you can finish all the tracks fairly quickly. The replay value mostly comes from unlocking vehicles and replaying levels for better scores. Local multiplayer is where it really shines though — it’s an absolute blast with friends on the couch.

I have played this game several times in the arcade with my son. It is our go to racing game when we are in the arcade. So happy they brought it to the switch and it runs great!! Doesn't have a ton of content but it sure is fun to play the crazy tracks. Must own Switch game if you like racing.

If you were ever a kid in the arcade in the 90s/00s then Cruis'n is a title you would immediately recognize. This is the latest installment in the series and it's just simple no frills over-the-top arcade racing. Unlock a fair amount of tracks, vehicles, upgrades and so forth. The tracks themselves are visually pleasing to look at. Some of the tracks do seem to repeat themselves in design with swaps to the different themes (dinosaur, aliens, weather, etc.). The game controls similarly to Mario Kart sans powerups. You mostly rely on driving, drifting, and using your Blast boost to get you to first place. If there is only one negative thing I would say is that the game is simply sweet but too short. It would be nice if new tracks came out with update or the ability to play multiplayer online. Other than that it's a stupidly fun game.

Cruis’n Blast is a fast, fun, and chaotic arcade racer that nails the over-the-top vibe of classic arcade games. With wild tracks, crazy vehicles (like dinosaurs and helicopters), and vibrant visuals, it's a great pick for local multiplayer and quick play sessions. It runs well on the Switch, but lacks online multiplayer and deep vehicle variety. Still, for the price, it's a solid buy for anyone craving simple, high-energy racing fun.

This game is just arcade goodness. Not realistic in the least. Handles great, tons of replay value. Easy for new people since its such a forgiving game. By that I mean, the only thing that slows you down is walls and traffic. Visually the tracks are very cool. Lots of sights to be seen, like Giant Yetis fighting or Giant Rolling Donuts. The more you race, the better your car gets. Can't prais it enough, also the price is on the cheap end. Hop on this and you will be happy.

Amazing port of an arcade racer! They take the five tracks from the arcade game and add tons more tracks and cars. Tons of fun to play and game runs great at 60 FPS. Nice and smooth. Even better than the arcade! Hopefully they release the original three games remastered for the switch in a Cruisn Collection! Great price too if you can snag at $19.99!

I went to the arcade and played Cruis'n Blast and I'm just excited there's a version available for console. This is a classic arcade gaming series. A must have for any arcade racing fan with wild tracks and cool, sometimes wacky vehicles. It's just fun to play with the family and will bring good memories.

While Cruis'n Blast may lack some of the bells & whistles of other modern racing games, it's incredibly fun!
The game features the original arcade game tracks as well as several remixed tracks divided into themed-Cups.
There are also several hidden 'vehicles' to unlock including a School Bus, a Monster Truck, a Helicopter, a Unicorn, and even a Triceratops!
Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys arcade racing games!

It's a blast to play Cruis'n Blast! Arcady racing at some of it's best. A nice way to just play a video game in an era of over-complicated development costs and mediocre AAA titles. This is what gaming is about. Fun.

This game was a surprise announcement at this year's Nintendo E3 presentation. As a fan of the original, that I played first in the arcade, and then on release on the N64 I was excited. There had been a total of three games in the series that hit both arcade and the Nintendo 64, each getting more and more out there with each entry.
The original arcade release of Cruis'n Blast came to arcades in 2017, but never received a home port. The story is that Eugene Jarvis (one of the original developers of the Cruis'n series) worked on this game with his new company Raw Thrills, while they were working from home during the pandemic.
The Switch port is full featured and adds a lot of new content, well beyond what the arcade version offers. The game runs great at 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode. The framerate is also very good at a fairly steady 60fps. Split screen mode for four players is also a great included option.
Cruis'n is arcade racing at it's finest. I like simulators like Forza or Gran Turismo, but this is even more arcade than any Burnout, Need for Speed, or Forza Horizon. There is always something going on in the background and the gameplay is smooth and more importantly fun. I whole-heartedly recommend this game to any arcade racing (or just racing) fan. The original arcade game is here, plus much more content that can be unlocked. It does not disappoint.

A great arcade style driving game. For fans of Outrun or the earlier Crus'N games this is a no brainer to purchase. While fans of more serious racing simulations might find this a bit too wild, for fans of pick up and play driving titles with wild level design this is a great buy.

This is an awesome and fun game. Perfect to play in little bursts when want to just relax and unwind. As a fan of previous Cruisn' games I can't recommend enough. Some of the things happening on screen are so ridiculous and cool sometimes I find myself laughing out loud. I think the developer put a lot of love into this port of the arcade game and game overall. It runs and looks great for a switch game and I never had any slowdown I noticed to ruin the fun. Graphics are colorful and detailed and like the music and sound effects. My only complaint would be shortness of tracks and length. But they added lots of modes and ways to play, vehicles to unlock, and other cool things that add to the replayability factor. I still play off and on after owning a while and hasn't gotten old. I know when I am feeling down if I put on this game and play a few races pretty soon I am having a Blast! Get the physical version if possible, nice box and item to have!
