I had replaced the stainless steel frypans included in the set, with non Cuisinart brand ceramic non stick fry pans, but they finally stopped being non stick after eight years. So bc I needed new nonstick fry pans and a smaller stock pot I decided to give the Cuisinart - Ceramica XT Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set a go. At first glance, it's a basic, nicely designed, lightweight, non stick ceramic cookware set, but once I got into my usual cooking groove with this new set, I began to notice the Ceramica surface started to retain the odors of the food I had cooked in the 6 Qt. stock pot, 2.5 Qt pot and 3 Qt covered skillet - no bueno! Currently I'm in this multi step process with Cuisinart to replace the set, but maybe I won't even bother. Why should I go through Cuisinart's elaborate return process of sending images of the "smelly" pieces in question, only to get a replacement set that will retain food odors again? After I get the refund, this set will make it's way to Goodwill!

I haven't had anything stick to the pans or pots yet, inside or out. I just have to lower the temperature slightly when cooking than usual. It's a wonderful set so far. I only hand-wash. Way better than the T-Fal or Farberware sets I had last!
