    This is just a low end budget item. I was in a "Don't want to spend more than I have to" mood the day I bought it. I wish I had bought a better quality Toaster. That being said, it works OK, most people would probably be happy with it.

    Toast and waffles are prepared as expected in this shiny stainless-steel device. If my toast is too dark, I can adjust the cooking time with a properly labeled knob. The spring mechanism works and toast is ejected from the heating elements as one familiar with the function of a traditional toaster might expect.

    Ok, the first time the toaster was used (by a person who didn’t read the directions) the toast got burned. If you are using one piece of toast, do NOT dial up to the darkest setting! Now that the directions are read, it works great, looks stylish, and goes with the other appliances.

    As indicated in the instruction pamphlet, so breads will not toast evenly. I experimented with several breads and found that sour dough bread takes longer to toast rhen others. wheat and plain white bread works perfectly all the time. overall very consistent evenly toasted

    This little toaster has truly taken a beating, and still is toasting away. I had it in the back of my car when I lived in Hawaii. Was exposed to salt water from my equipment and got a little dent too. Still works perfectly.
