As we have a large family this is a great toaster for those mornings when everyone wants toast or Eggos.

Since my wife and use this toaster only for frozen waffles that is what I am basing my review upon. I did try a test with 4 slices of toast and found that while both sides were about equal only the center was toasted. As for frozen waffles... Useless. Parts of the waffle have been burned while other areas are soggy. Yes I have used the defrost button. I have also pre-heated the toaster, tried without pre-heating. Tired various slots, different times. Have tried lower times but ran through twice. Nothing seems to work very well. I have had this toaster for about two months. If you are going to use for frozen products then keep looking as it is junk. If you are going to use for toast then it may be ok but again I have not tested on toast other than what I mentioned above.

Many have stated slots aren't wide enough (true). Spring latch on one side failed after a year. Spring latch on the other side failed a year later. Looks cool on the outside but inside it's just cheap components. I'm currently looking at either a toaster oven or getting a decent toaster from a restaurant supply store. The restaurant supply store model may cost twice as much but at least it'll last longer and I can get it repaired if needed.

Toaster burnt bread at the minimum setting. Levers to raise/lower toast very flimsy. Poor quality craftsmanship.
