    Nice item to have if you like Rotisserie Chicken

    I owned a horizontal rotisserie and barely used it.It had many parts to clean and assemble and was difficult to center the chicken properly on the stakes that rotate it. When not centered, the weight of the breast would tumble the chicken as it turned instead of an even rotating motion.Enter the Vertical. This unit has been great so far. It is recommended to use chickens of around 5 pound weight and not larger because they will sag in the unit(8 pound weight items are the max). The vertical setup is easy to place a chicken on and is sturdy enough to hold the chicken well centered as it turns evenly. Cleaning is very easy. The unit looks good and is not very heavy, but can be bulky for a small counter top. I usually use it and put it away. I have done two whole chickens 400 degrees for 1 hr 10 minutes or so with delicious results. I left the first soaking in the refrigerator in a brining solution. I had warmed up (orange juice,salt, water,soy sauce, brown sugar).I let it cool. I rinsed a ~5 pound chicken and let it soak in the solution breast down in the fridge for 2 days. Set the unit up and took the chicken out and started roasting. Boy was it good. I noticed the chicken tasted more natural than at the store and seemed like it had less fat driping when cutting it up. I really like this unit. Although it was refurbished and had a small scratch next to the control panel. All the accessories came with it and it has worked well at half the price it originally sells for. The second I did not brine but still tasted well with lemon pepper seasoning. The brined bird was certainly juicier.I think its great.Thanks
