Is it possible to be in love with a coffee pot?

Because if so, then my husband is definately enamored! Shortly after purchasing this machine, my hubby discovered how to make iced coffee, now I can hardly keep him in K-cups. The reuseable K-cup filter, which allows you to use your own coffee grounds, being included was what sealed the deal with the hubby. He was dubious about whether a machine that cost $200 up front and much more than regular coffee over time would be worth the convenience. He was more than pleased. This model is made of more metal parts than the comparable Keurig and durability means alot in our household. It has been used on a daily basis since we purchased it and has functioned without fail each time.

I bought this Item October 2011. I have been using it daily 3 to 4 times a day, 6 to 8 cups total and have not experinced any problems. I did purchase the black tie protection plan for it due to Keurig coffe maker reviews about the pump going out on them. I do believe this Cuisine Art Coffee maker has the Largest water tank of all the consumer k-cup coffee makers. The internal workings are made by Keurig. My house is equiped with a whole house water filtration system and the sink has a reverse osmosis filtration add-on. This may be the reson I have not had to descale the product as of yet. I like the filter that comes with the unit for me to use my own coffee grounds but it does not work very well. The coffee made with it seems to taste very light. I did find out that you can put an empty K-cup inside this filter holder and put coffee in it, it makes a world of difference. Very glad I purchased this unit. I would strongly recomend this product with bottled water and not tap water, this way you won't have any problems.

Blows away Keurig brand brewers!

Thie brewer is the quietest I have heard of any Keurig brewing systems. This unit offers many more user settings and we love the 12 ounce serving size. My wife and I both use the termal insulated mugs and with our old unit we had to open and close the press the brew button twice.

Love it -- So Easy

I love the convenience of popping a K-cup in, pushing a button and getting coffee immediately. I have the timer set about 5 min before I get up. I also use my own coffee in the K-cup filter. I did not rate the durability because of the reviews about all brands and the short life of the water pump. This has a 3 year warranty. I plan on descaling, changing the filter on a regular basis. I use filtered water from the fridge. Hopefully, this will prolong the life. My husband likes the hot water function for tea and instant oatmeal. This a.m. I got called into work at 4:30 a.m., it only took me a minute to fill up my travel cup before heading out the door---and I really needed it.

I struggled with the purchase for a long time, as so many of the k-cup machines seem to burn through pumps in a matter of months. Ultimately I choose the Cuisinart brand and Best Buy Geek Squad protection plan to protect the investment. After a month we are still doing fine with machine no pump problems. In fact, no problems at all. I think some of the online negative press is related to people not giving positive reviews, thus this one. The machine does everything it says and has been a huge time saver. That being said, I will update if the pump fails.

My family has owned this product for about 30 days. We have not experienced any of the issues as previously described. We do make a concerted effort NOT to remove the water tank so as to avoid the pressure lock on the pump.
This unit is very quiet compared to other models and well worth the money.

I love the large water supply and the unit is beautiful. We drink a lot more coffer now, mainly because it seems to taste better, much better. The removable catch tray makes is easy to brew into my commuter cups. Great unit.

Bought this for myself to make a cup of coffee once or twice a week. My wife thought I was crazy. She tried it and now she makes about 10 cups a day. She has discovered the ability to use a variety of sizes for warming up a cup and can make 2 cups out of one pack. We have had this for about a year and it keeps on brewing. I am considering one for my office as soon as I (or she) uses up the ten pound of unground coffee in the refrigerator. I am still making one or two cups a week.

Struggled with the idea of $200 for a coffee maker. I don't regret it in the least. The Pike Place and Dunkin Donuts k-cups brewed on this machine taste just like the real deal in the stores. That's what I was told, that's why I bought it, and I love it. You can use the filter and grind your own coffee. Works great after some trial and error with the coarseness of the grind. Totally recommend this machine; just recognize that k-cups are expensive.

I have had 3 Keurig Coffee Brewers. Each one has been very noisy, they last around 6 months and then the water pump quits working. I have exchanged the old model so many times. I am thankful that I purchased an extended warranty.
The Cuisinart is built much better. I am waiting to see if the water pump quits working. In the meantime, I am ejoying brewing my coffee. The water tank is much larger, I don't have to refill every morning.

I really like the Single Serve coffeemaker for what it's meant for. I'm by myself so it's great for just me. It's extremely fast heating up for hot water for tea and to brew coffee. My only complaint is even the largest ounce serving is too small for me. I like a big mug of tea or coffee. So I just do it twice to get the right amount. Otherwise I find it very convenient and efficient.

So far, this is a great coffee maker. The variety of Kcups makes choosing your coffee each morning an enjoyable experience. Also, the variety of full-bodied decaf coffees means I can enjoy coffee in the evening. I use only filterred "spring" water so I hope to deminish or eliminate the scale problems others have reported. I'll try to remember to write an update in 6 months or a year to report about the machine's durability and the scale deposits.

I purchased this coffee maker because I had two Keurig coffee makers that are waranteed for one year and lasted about 3 years each. This one is warranteed for 3 years so I thought that should be good. Bought this on December 17, 2010. I was having problems and decided to descale (as the manual suggests). This was the first of June 2011. It would not work after that. No problem, I have a three year warrantee right? Well Cuisinart wants me to pay to have a replacement sent to me $10.00 and pay for shipping the broken one back to them. What kind of waranty is that? They told me that this is their terms for any product they sell. Buyer beware.

Totally Unreliable

I was super-excited when this co-branding wonder was first announced. My wife and I have had a wonderful 12-cup Cuisinart coffeemaker for 4 years and have been pleased, and we figured this would be a perfect jumping off point into the single cup arena.
We could not have been more wrong.
The coffeemaker worked fine for about a month and a half. After that, it started getting louder, then slower and then the real problems started. Between weeks 8 and 12 it started simply not brewing every once in a while, then frequently. At three months it totally crapped out- it called for descaling and simply wouldn''t brew. We tried some of the voodoo we found online, but nothing (even the cleaning instructions in the booklet) helped. We returned it and got a new one in the hopes we just got a bad unit.
After 3 months, the same problem happened and we're now without a coffeemaker again. Our case seems extreme, but almost everyone I have talked to have had similar issues with this model- just not on the same time-table.

I purchased my Cuisinart SS-700 and it stopped functioning after three weeks of light use. It is under warranty, but the shipping would be almost half the cost of purchase. I enjoyed the product for three weeks, but now I am extremely disappointed. Nice features, great brew, but now very disappointed.

This thing is awesome. Removable water basin, the ability to use different cups, iced tea, and best of all it has a rinse button. Every bad review I've seen about the Keurig this thing has addressed. And the lid is even made of metal instead of cheap plastic. Sweet.

This unit is a little more money than others - We chose it for the Cusinart quality name. - So far so good after 6 months. Coffee is somwhere between a "true brewed" and instant coffee.
