It whistles very loud, i can hear it even i am in my bedroom. I still prefer this old school kettle. The water remains hot longer compared to the electric ones. The loud noise alerts you that the water is boiling hot. I really like this brand.

Can't Beat The Quality For The Price.

The most significant feature I like about this is the one hand operation to open the lid to pour out liquid which is offered usually to more expensive alternatives.
