I bought this to replace an APC unit which had a dead battery. As a new battery would cost about $95 + wait time, I bought this cyberhome unit, which works fine. The price was right. I do wish the display had an option to stay on all the time. This was a feature of the APC unit which I liked.

Had upgraded my computer system and added a laser printer when all of a sudden my UPS started beeping. Turned out it was not rated for the combined wattage requirement of the upgrades. This product worked perfectly.

We installed a lot of those in the recent years-not a single failure. Best value for money on the UPS market.

Lots of capacity for the $$. I'm using it for backup power on a 64" plasma TV that sucks down 650w @ start-up, so far no issues.

After having a power surge kill a $1400 computer and network, I had to get a UPS and this one works great for the price.

In the first month alone the UPS saved the Comcast box from resetting 7 times. Should have bought one years ago.

Had a problem with the initial one i bought but contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new one free of charge.

Have not had any power outages yet so not able to give a full review at this time. Will update reveiw later.

Hopefully it will hold up and i like to see how much power my entertainment center pulls

i haven't really tested this unit out yet. It works as expected.

Appeared to be not bad ups until I tried using the software on my windows 7 pc, all the configurations is greyed out and not useable. I contract support and they proved to be clueless. To me the ups is useless without scheduling software to control a soft shutdown. APC software works like a charm go APC.

I picked mine up on sale. I use it with my primary entertainment setup (SmartTV, two receivers, subwoofer, WiFi Blu-Ray, Network Bridge, etc.) At 810 watts capacity, I probably oversized for the application. I rarely push over 200 watts total. Unfortunately, power outages have been way too frequent around here lately. I installed the SW and have a "roving laptop" I've used to configure and periodically test the device. I shut off the screaming noises...I pretty much can figure out the power has gone down without the machine screaming at me. I like that I can configure and leave it. The onboard LCD is also quite useful. It's a bit of a beast for size, but my setup is pretty much how it's going to be so I don't anticipate that I'll need to move it very often, and the profile is narrow enough to squeeze between a speaker stand and a CD case (yeah, I still have some physical discs I've yet to convert to MP3 for my DLNA capable NAS). The blue on-light is VERY bright, but it hasn't been too distracting while watching movies. I wouldn't want it in a bedroom. I have a bedroom setup for which I chose a different brand for that very reason. Bottom line, it's configurable, it works (13 power interruptions of various duration over the past two weeks), and it's got great capacity for a fair price. Hopefully it will stand the test of time.

First off I'll state that I was trying to decide between this unit and the APC BR1500G. I have a very power hungry configuration, so I wanted something with plenty of headroom to support everything running full bore for an extended period of time. Once I got everything hooked up and running I was pleasantly surprised that my components I have hooked up to it aren't as power hungry as I thought. Full bore usage (or about 450 watts) this UPS gives me about 7-10 minutes of battery time. There were a few big deciding factors that made me choose this unit over the APC. In my opinion and most importantly is the joules rating. The higher the rating the better. This means the device is able to sustain more of an electrical shock before failing. Secondly, as far as I'm aware this was the only one of the two that was UL listed. A couple other factors are that the APC only has a 2 year warranty and covers up to 150k of damage whereas this unit has a 3 year warranty and covers up to 500k worth of equipment.
